We made it to page 555! And who but herself . . . eaa . . . accomplished the record-setting goal! Now I'm wondering if she also took 22,222! Guess I'll need to keep reading to find out.
Hi, eaa, Gail, Broni, Heidi, CynB, Suzy, June, Tami, Theresa, Suzanne and Brenda!
Good on ya, eaa! You did it!
Cyn, Daniel seems to be a most welcome addition to his family! I'm sure it will be bittersweet for you when they move to Tasmania. On the other hand, it will give you another reason to visit Tasmania! (And I'm not talking devils here.) I will need to check out the video on youtube.
Suzy, how noice of Mr. Suzy to take over the hospital shift! I'm glad there's nothing broken! Hope she takes care of herself and restrains some of her teen-age enthusiasm and energy until she's healed properly! As to your guest . . . hmm, what gives parents the "right" to decide they don't want their under-age children? Is there really an option! I guess I just don't understand the thinking (or lack of) nowadays.
Broni, thank you for the update on Possum! Great news to hear that he had his surgery and he is doing well! I guess the attitude is even a good sign if he's not in extreme pain or still feeling the results of the anesthesia.
Tami, how nice of you to offer to bring brownies - even the adult version - for our party! Also so nice that Cyn has offered to have it at her place! (Oh, if only we could really have one!) I hope all went well today at school! Is this the evening for Mom's Night Out while the sons are at Hebrew School?
Cyn, 555 pages in not quite 15 months? (Thanks for going back to check for us!) At first I was thinking that must be some kind of record, but then remembered that we posted SO much faster on the "Last-to-Post" page. Of course, many of the posts were VERY short!

Woo Hoo! Heidi's first calf of the season has arrived! And things went well for the shoer and horses today! Double good news!
Theresa, keep us posted on how things are going! I think your D's surgery is scheduled for late this month or early next month! Remember to get your nana naps while the grandies are at school during the 5 days when your D is in the hospital!
Suzanne, have you heard back from George! Keeping our fingers crossed that all is well! Take care of yourself!
Welcome back, Brenda! It sounds like the workers are making good progress on repairs! It won't be long now!
Food flinging about to take place here. Back in a while.

Julie, tonight is Mom's night out but I had to cancel. Mitchell had homework also. We don't always go, but we try to.
I have invited one of the boys to spend a few days with me during spring break. Mom and dad are taking older brother to visit a few colleges and are not sure if Mitchell's friend wants to go. I will find out at some point in the next few weeks. Spring break starts on March 12. How many days away is that???

Good maEn everyone!
TTT: Thanks for updating for me on George, talked to him today, he's doing the best he can considering the situation. I told him I am ALWAYS here if he needs me. He was grateful for that. It was GREAT to reconnect with him after all these years. Miss him lots!!
MizT & Al, Broni & Possum: Healing wishes to you and strength for your caregivers.
eaa: Thanks for the words of wisdom, you always make me smile!!

Gekko again! I'm finally getting back to read page 556.
Hi, Broni, Heidi, Suzy, Theresa, eaa, Gail, MizTricia, June and Vicki!
Broni, hope the patient's attitude has improved before he heads for home! Also wishing for a speedy recovery and diligent rehab efforts! Hope he'll prove to be a good patient!
Yummm, Heidi, apple cinnamon & blueberry muffins! Great way to treat yourself - and IH when he returns.
eaa, these are GREAT: "Don't take life too seriously, No one makes it out alive. Its better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. Remember life's a pleasure not a chore." Thank you for always having just the right saying!
I don't understand about bulk billing, Suzy. It sounds like it must make things better for you though, so I hope they'll do it. Hope Alie's ankle will soon be better!
Heidi, hooray, no night-time cow check tonight!
Congratulations, Heidi, for getting post #22222! You and eaa make a good team!
Looks like I have 2 links to check from Suzy. I'll wait until I finish this page.
MizT, thank you SO much for the update on Al! The good news is that you are both home and you are getting liquid and liquid food into Al, so hopefully he'll be regaining some strength. It's good that the doc felt things were going well today. Fingers crossed that the radiation doc next week sees progress as well. Frozen & leaky pipes are not good, but it sounds like repairs have been made. Hopefully the weather will remain mild for the rest of the winter to remove any worries about leaks. Cheers for those who helped with repairs! Sending tons & tons of
prayers, positive thoughts & {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to both of you!
Vicki, were you able to play while you were at work alone? It's tough to fill the time when you really don't have anything to do. Wonder why the other people from work didn't think it would be necessary to tell you where they were going.

And now reading page 557: Hi, Vicki, Tami, CynB, Suzy, Suzanne, Heidi and Rolanda!
Tami, March 12 is about 24 days or 18 school days away. How thoughtful to invite the younger brother to stay with you while the parents take the older brother for college visits. We never had the problem. Our kids were close enough in age that they enjoyed going on college visits together.
Suzanne, when George tells you he is doing the best he can in the circumstances, does that mean he has contacted the police? I still worry about the situation he's in. I also hope you will soon be feeling better!
Rolanda, so the hot & humid weather continues . . . I hope you were able to get groceries put away quickly so you could sit quietly and relax under the air con vent!

Oh, dear, Suzy, the situation with your 17-y-o does not seem to be going well, since you are fuming! Is there anything any of us can do? You may need to "put your foot down" and set some very strict parameters. Wishing you the best!
Sending special thoughts to Cyn and Col, Broni and the patient (sounds more like the name of a TV program than Broni and Possum), MizT and Al, Suzy and Mr. Suzy, Rolanda and Mum, etc.

Julie, when doctors bulk bill they send their account directly to the national health system. If they don't you pay up front and get a refund at the Medicare (national health) office. Today I had to pay $55 and I got $34 back....

Thanks for the flash mob email, CynB. IH was passing as I started it, and he was fascinated. He'd never heard of a flash mob, so I showed him several on YouTube, including the famous Antwerp Sound of Music one. That's still the best.

Heidi, when you sign up for broadband internet here you have an 'allowance' that you choose, when you exceed that allowance you can choose to be charged for extra usage or 'shaped', which means they reduce your speed for the rest of the month. That wouldn't be a problem with most things except that we can only get wireless and are right on the outer limits of the area it works in so even our max speed never approaches the speed we are supposed to get.. our shaped speeds are slower than dial-up

By the way, it would be insane to choose the 'pay for extra usage' option when you have teenagers!!

We are with Optus at home and we quite often exceeded our monthly unlimited data of 120GB. Movie downloads were the problem.
Optus have now altered our plan and we now have 1 terrabyte of data. #1 was stunned and said he would never be able to use that much. Mind you he is giving it a good try

Back for a few minutes - Hi, Suzy, CynB and Heidi!
Suzy, thanks for explaining bulk billing! I can see how that would be better on you budget.
Cyn, the flash mob was very moving!
Heidi, now I have to look for the Antwerp Sound of Music flash mob youtube!
Suzy, thanks for the explanation of being "shaped." It makes sense, but must be aggravating. And this is the shortest month! Not choosing the "pay for extra usage" makes a great deal of sense!
And now, I really must head to bed. Good Night, All! Thinking of all of you and sending
{{HUGS}}, positive thoughts and prayers!

All animals fed but Moi. I have been painting Belinda's kitchen. I did the ceiling last year and now the walls. I have done all the edges with the brush and need to get out the roller. I do not like using the roller and generally get Ken to do it at home. Belinda does not know I am painting so I hope she likes the colour!

Finished all but part of one wall. Have to move 2 fridges to get there and have to put all the other tables, chairs etc back first. Plus all the paintings and things she hangs on the wall. I think it will be a couple of panadol and an early night! Raining out so the dogs and cats all want to get inside!
