Just got home from the hospital. Daughter is fine, but sore. She MIGHT be home on Monday. She has to manage stairs at the hospital first, and learn how to give herself a blood thinner injection in the abdomen. Grandies enjoyed their visit with their mom and got a teeny weeny bit weepy when they were leaving.
Just going to grab a bite to eat and then I think I'll call it an early night. I'm plum tuckered out. Will catch up on the reading in the morning with my coffee (unless I can't sleep). Hugs to all.

One of my cousins just posted on the other site a like to a live eagle nest cam in Iowa. Right now it is 8:48 p.m. in Iowa, so it's dark and no activity. It might be worth a look in 12 hours or so.

Theresa's grandies got to visit their mother in the hospital and enjoyed their visit! ((( Theresa.... you haven't told us yet how your D's pain levels are now compared to before the surgery.))) And D might be coming home as soon as Monday!
Tami had a great date with her hubby!

She's sleeping soundly, Julie. It's hard to believe that the eggs can incubate in a snow covered nest! There really isn't a whole lot to do while setting eggs, except keep them warm. She can't read a book or play hand held video games. That IS one of the coolest sites I've ever seen, tho. I'll have to go back regularly, I can see that. I wish I knew when the eggs will hatch.

Gekko! I'm here to read for a bit. I got to see the eagle rearrange herself on the nest. There were definitely 2 eggs.
Hi, Suzy, Nola, Tami, June, Theresa and Heidi!
Suzy, congrats on surviving the party and being acknowledged as greatest mother! I hope that feeling lasts a long time!
Nola, it's good to see you! You have explained the situation well. We all do the best we can based on the information we have. All is well! I hope your studies are going well! Think of you often and wonder how you get it all done! There's no need for individual comments when you visit here. A simple, "Howdy" or "G'Day" will be just fine!
June, I hope your thumb isn't aggravated by your very busy day! Hope it soon feels much better! Take care! Thinking also of your friend and sending positive thoughts!
Theresa, I'm glad the winter storm wasn't as bad as predicted! It will make visiting your D easier since you don't need to worry about road conditions! Thinking of her and hoping she is doing well! {{{{HUGS}}}} to her, you, and the family!
Heidi, congrats on the new bull calf! That was a smart mama to wait until the storm passed!
Tami, though you're probably in bed, please give your parents our best wishes the next time you talk to them! I hope you have a relaxing day tomorrow - and no papers to correct!
Suzy, your link is frightening. Does that sort of thing happen often at parties? I just can't imagine having 100 or 200 guests. How can you possibly know all of them and feel like you have some sort of handle on what is going on? I would have been very frightened if things were like that when our children were teens! Maybe you can put in a good word with the grandmother of the young man. Maybe she thought he wasn't invited and crashed the party. She may have just felt very uncomfortable. I can't imagine what it would be like to be a grandmother and raising a grandchild. It's such a different world!
June, take care of your thumb. Sounds like you have a lot planned for it today. I hope you enjoy bowling and the fund raiser!

Now reading page 577: Hi, June, Suzy, Tami, Suzanne, Broni, Rolanda, Theresa, Heidi and Gail!
Great TOPP, June! You must have been watching the numbers!
Tami, I hope you and Mr. Tami enjoyed your date tonight!
Oh, my, Rolanda, a clean-shaven husband! What an adjustment! Mine has had his facial hair for 30+ years. Once he talked about shaving it off, but the D's pleaded with him not to. They said they wouldn't know him. And now we have grandies who wouldn't know him if he shaved it off.
Suzy, you have lots of sloshy and hangy stuff happening at your house. Is it all party related, or partially just the weekly routine? I hope you had/have help cleaning up from the party! Well, your next post mentioned Mr. Suzy out cleaning up after the "camp-out." Did he take the whole thing in stride? Does he feel the same way you do about creepazoid? I'm so glad you are getting happy texts!
Theresa, I'm glad the visit went well and you may get the chance to get to bed early! Of course, you're exhausted from all of the stress and worry and round trip to the hospital, etc.!
Gail, I'm so glad you got to see the eagle move! A friend had the sound turned up and said she hear a coyote's howl. It may be a snow-covered nest, but at least the flurries have stopped and she won't become snow-covered.
Heidi, I don't know how long the gestation period is for eagles. think the first egg was laid yesterday, and apparently the second today.

Julie, that sort of stuff happens all too often here - the trouble makers are not usually invited but find out about the party on facebook, by forwarded texts and word of mouth. They then show up, usually drunk, and run rampage - houses have been ruined!

Good afternoon all - what a newsy day on here.
Suzy - it sounds as if things are getting on track again for Dana. Hope she and her friends enjoy the concert! What a lovely offer from June to ring her if they need to.
Theresa - so happy that the girls have seen their mother and that things are going well. You're exhausted because maybe this is the first time in a long time you feel you can relax.
Rolanda - I can't imagine your hubby without a beard!
Heidi - that was a long afternoon nap but you must have needed it!
Julie - I'll try to remember that link when it's daylight over there.

I've got the eagle cam up but there is nothing at all happening, in fact it looks like a still shot.

Changing avatars mid-posts!
Tami - glad you enjoyed your date with hubby.
We're just back from our 'us' day out. We wanted to go up high where there was a view and have lunch there. Remembered that Mt Gravatt (a small mountain in a SE Bris suburb) now has a restaurant on it. Went there and had a nice lunch while admiring the 360 deg view. It was a fairly clear day and all looked lovely except that our usually clear river is still brown from the flood. I would have liked to go to Toowoomba but I'm still not ready to drive through the flood-ravaged Brisbane and Lockyer Valleys.

Morning all.
Julie, thanks for the link to the eagle. I have added it to my list of favourites and keep going back to check. So far only the feathers are blowing in the breeze.
Heidi, daughter's pain levels right now are about the same as before the accident. Yesterday they took her off the little pump thingie that doles out pain meds at the touch of a button by herself. She's finding the bed hard and it's hard for her to get comfortable. But things will improve. The incision looks to be about 8-10 inches long and it's closed with staples. She takes mini-walks at the hospital and each time she goes a little bit further. She looks really good. We brought her her favourite kind of chocolate (and I did not even eat one piece of it).
Off to get a coffee. It's just after 5:30 in the morning. I've had a sore neck that started yesterday. I went to turn around in bed and the pain woke me up. When you're asleep you tend to forget about aches and pains and I guess I turned around too quickly. Be back later!!!! (That's a threat, not a promise)

Theresa, I hope you D feels better when she is home in familiar surroundings. I'm sure the hospital is not a comfortable place for her.
{{{Hugs}}}
Just waiting another 10 minutes to make sure Dana's plans for the night have fallen into place. Her texts have been upbeat and cheery, even after she fell into a 'circle pit', whatever that is, and ended up with bruised feet and a fat lip...
