Good morning lovely SA people.
Nola - nice to see you around. Once you get into the swing of it studying will be fine. My daughter and a good friend of mine both started studying last year after 20 and 30 years respectively - both have settled in and are doing well. The friend is doing nursing.
Suzy/Heidi - this Queenslander isn't throwing away mangoes.
Mamacita - nice to see you back on the Sudoku pages - now where is Stella, she's finished her zoo!
Theresa - condolences to your husband.
Suzanne - love the Bugs Bunny avatar.

Good morning everyone! Hope you're all well today.
It's wonderfully cool here, a bit of rain, the plants are reviving, though I think we've lost about half the new veggies we put in.
After our Christmas get-together Rob decided it would be a good idea for us to "do a Gail" more often, so the day I spent gninaelc the range-hood and stove (ewww!!) was rewarded by a dinner out - I LIKE this trend! Thanks Gail! :)

My pleasure entirely Judy!
We lost most of our cos lettuce seedlings too, but while I was away, hubby installed a whiz bang watering system onto the veggie garden, so the rest of it is going gangbusters! Looks more like a market garden now!

Gail what kind of watering system is it? I think we are only allowed to do hand-watering here, twice a week, 6-8am - it's a killer!

Geez Louise. I just did a search on teenagers and dreams meaning nightmares and the first item on the list: Tiny teens and nak3d school girls showing their b00bs. Pretty much unimpressed. In fact I'd get kicked off here if I said what I am thinking right now!

Judy, it is a drip system, which we are allowed to run, but only during those hours of course. It is attached to the hose tap and runs during the time I water the rest of the pots on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, although sometimes I skip the Saturday ones (who wants to get up at that time if they dont have to!)
Hubby also installed a small rain water tank, only 200 litres I think, a stop-gap until we get the bigger ones.

Hi all. On my daughter's computer. Competing with face book Country Life!
Sorry about your Husbands Aunt Teresa
Nice to see Mamacita back. Not sure why I decided to stay at my daughters old county house on a hot night but with portable AC and fans it was not too bad. It was supposed to be cooler today but still very hot here.
Catch you all again

This was just posted by Anne from Albany on SA8 by mistake:
Good morning all. I don't usually visit here as I don't have time, but Rolanda asked me to call in and say hello to you all.
I met up with her and Peter last evening for a barbecue at their caravan and a very enjoyable time was had by all.
They are enjoying their very relaxing holiday, although they have a huge social life when down here, and return to civilisation this Sunday. The weather has been very kind to them, but of course we know how to turn it on for the tourists!!
Cheers all!

Good night all. About to watch NCIS with hubby. We both love the show. I am also watching the beginning of American Idol. I love the early rounds with all the people who think they can sing, and can't. I know I can't sing and would never embarrass my self that way.

VENTING - BEWARE!!!!
Can you believe this?? We had our power supply with a company called Jack Green who were supposed to be supplying wind-powered energy into the grid. When we had our solar panels installed on Monday, we were told to advise our supplier. OK - so we just rang them and 'sorry we're going out of business and have given your account to Origin Energy (another local supplier)'. So we rang them (not happy, Jan), they have no record of us, but they do have our address under someone else's name, and an account has not been paid. How does this happen? I'm am now going to phone Consumer Affairs and our local radio talkback show. He'll fix it. In the meantime, the government won't pay the rebate ($8,000) and our power could be cut off - through no fault of our own.
Sorry - I just had to vent!!!!

ha ha...I particularly enjoy that early elimination stuff as well...not that I find the time to watch it that often.
We are similar in that I know I can't sing but in spite of that I have tried to embarrass myself that way!! Didn't succeed because I found it highly entertaining...

Lachie uses hand signals and it was funny to watch... he was throwing in random movements that have no meaning and had her bopping up and down...I don't think she messed and she looked very pleased with herself...
