Thanks Heidi - I certainly needed that first smiley or should I say 'screamie'. I probably had one of my own but was too furious to even think of it.
We have been somewhat appeased in that we now do have an account with the new supplier which should satisfy the govt. so they'll pay the rebate. However I don't know if we've heard the last of this and we only got this far by threatening to go to Consumer Affairs and talkback radio.
Poor hubby called in for a quick cuppa before his next job and all of this happened - meanwhile, 2 hours later, he's finally left to finish his day.

Smiley overkill - sorry!!

Afternoon all!
Cyn, you were almost disconnected to almost resolved in one reading - thank goodness. Sometimes it takes threats to find someone with commonsense, which is just ridiculous!!!

Theresa, condolences on the passing of your husband's aunt.
Cyn, horrified at your predicament but so happy that you seemed to have resolved it so swiftly.
Gail it sounds as if your husband was very busy while you were away. Is there anyway you could syphon of some of your waste water (from shower, dishwashing etc) into a storage tank to use on your irrigation system?
Craft has set in but good wishes go to everyone from a once again cold snowy Stevenage

Brenda, I do run my sloshy thing's rinse water into bins outside the yrdnual, for use on non-food plants, but we want to keep the tank for the veggie garden clean with just rain water.

Gail - we do the same thing with our water from the washing machine - into a converted wheelie bin, then Col just feeds the hose onto the front garden. We also collect rainwater off our shed roof (not attached to the house) and use it on the vegie garden - such as it is at the moment.

Still snowing here. Getting ready for my niece and her family (the ones from Perth) to come over for dinner. They fly back home on Friday, I bet they are looking forward to some warm weather. It has snowed on and off all the time since they got here 6 weeks ago.

Mamacieta, doc thinks it could have happened when I my feet slipped from under me on wet stairs while holding tightly to hand rail. I was holding my body weight a few seconds till I figured I could not get up from that position, had to go down and then back up! So I eased on down to sitting, asnd started again. That could have been when the fracture occured, IF it is a frecture at all.

We will be off in an hour or so , must pick up X rays and take with and drive up to the offices near the medical center.

will report in later.

I read sort of hit and miss, this typing while in a wrist and thumb brace is not easy and even then is not comfy.

Later friends

Thank you everyone for the condolences. The funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized, but I believe it will be on the weekend. Although this lady was my husband's aunt, I went to college with her youngest son, and I had a humongous crush on one of her older boys when I was a kid. I see most of them from time to time. My mother-in-law came from a family of 15 kids!!!!

HI Theresa, I do not think I have met you yet. Welcome to SA9 and hope to get to know you in the coming days. Sad to hear of your hubby's aunt's passing. Hugs to the family.

My daughter named Teresa, so if I misspell your name, forgive. getting that H in there takes brain power, and some days mine is low.

Thanks Tricia. I don't mind my name being mis-spelled. I get lots of different spellings. I was born in Holland and my last name got garbled a lot. We came to Canada when I was a baby, but some day hope to visit Holland. Hope you'll soon be feeling better. Off to get some sleep now. I have spells where I have insomnia and don't get much sleep at night. Back on later hopefully.

Good Maen everyone! Someone (Nola or CynB, can't remember) loved my Bugs Bunny avatar, thanks, I have a couple more to submit eventually. Darrell worked for Warner Brothers for 17 years. I worked at Disney as a temp when we were dating, I love both sets of characters.
Theresa: Sleep well, I'm also an insomniac. I woke about 3 times last night, so I really NEED the coffee this morning.

Taking a quick break before taking fence posts down to the work site. I gave Robert the tough job of digging the holes through the semi frozen earth.

Back from the bone doc, and nothing is broken. I have bursitis of wrist and thumb. He injected me with cortisone and wants me to have PT. Depends on how many visits insurance will cover and how much co pay will be. Hopefully they can give me some ideas for using at home and not a long bunch of therapy sessions.

Must go an dice this now, and might nnap again, Extra pain can be tiring. Just thought I would let you know.

Heidi, ground is thawing here. I forgot to mention yesterday, our big mud puddle was filled and yesterday seemed to be in good shape. Today the ground thawed and it is just the muddiest thing you ever saw. It will be wallowed out again before this next rain. I really wonder if they just p[ut dirt down in that block long puddle and hoped it would make a road????

Good morning lovely SA people.
Theresa - you have company here on SA - we have 2 other Dutchies (as they call themselves) - Rolanda, who is on holiday at the moment but due back on the weekend and Lizzy (Ditzy Dizzy Lizzy) who probably has posted since you've been around.
MizT - glad nothing is broken. Take care.

MizT - have you heard of Gabe Watson? The man from Alabama who brought his wife here to Qld for a scuba-diving honeymoon and left her to drown. Read the link. Sometimes there's no justice. He got a slap on the wrist here and now our Govt won't send him home because he can be retried there and maybe given the death penalty. I'm not necessarily in favour of capital punishment but I'd like to see his wife's family get the justice they deserve, that they didn't get here.

I'm all tuckered out. Even though I made Robert do the heavy work (digging and lifting the 80 lb. bags of concrete, I carried all the water and mixed the concrete. The posts are all set now, and have to harden overnight. Tomorrow we hang the new gate, transfer some wires over to a new fence post and nail a 4 foot panel up. Then we can sort the cows into the calving pasture.
