Evening all!
Glad to hear Heidi is back on the straight and narrow.

Nothing exciting here today. Sigh.

Cyn, thanks for filling me in on the backwards words. I still can't figure out what "pulling a Gail" is, but I guess time will tell. Hoping to get krowesuoh done today ... much needs to be done. Just can't seem to get on top of all the cat fur around. Plus the grandkids come over from time to time and leave quite the mess at times. A couple of months ago I told my youngest granddaughter to clean up the Lego before she went home. I stepped out of the room and when I came back it had all been cleaned up, much to my surprise. Later in the day I found one of the cats playing with a piece of Lego. When I bent over to pick it up, I noticed all the Lego had been shoved under the day bed. I had a good laugh at that one. Kids, you gotta love them.

Viv, I can relate to your sinus problems. I have sinusitis and it bothers me the most during humid weather. Feel better soon.

Cyn, aren't they wonderful? I have two granddaughters, ages 5 and 6. The youngest once told me, "I don't clean up, I just play." Our house has been turned into a double and my daughter and her family live on one side and us on the other, so I get to see the grandkids as often as I want. I also look after them after school on Wednesdays. Two and a half hours with them and I'm just beat ... I guess my age is showing. If only their energy could be bottled.

Sorry I haven't welcomed you back, Broni dearest.
Had a nightmarish holiday season and new year so far. It hasn't helped the depression one bit.
Since you probably haven't read the 2 weeks of posts you missed, I'll give you a summation....
IH had the flu for 8 days: Christmas thru New Years. On New Years day, 8 of my finches (in different cages) suddenly died at the same time. Reason unknown. Shortly thereafter, my eldest rescue, Melony, decided that it was time and had to be put to sleep. Three days later, my rescue puppy, Lucky, went into massive seizures that wouldn't stop. After a 12 hour ordeal, the Vet had to put him to sleep.

On the good side, I added a delightful new Rescue. Rain is a 12 year old Smooth Collie with incontinence issues and a wonderful personality. I have already fallen in love with her.

Hi there everyone.

Apart from this page, I haven't read much yet but welcome home Broni.
Heidi....such a sad time for you lately.I hope being here with your friends helps to keep your spirits up.

When I have more time,I will comment further.

I got back from orientation in Rockhampton last night and back on an early shift this morning.
The mind boggles at the course content and my ability but I will give this a good go.
Lots of hard work will pay off in the end.Exams and referencing are my biggest concerns.
My skin is an absolute mess from psoriasis probably from the warm weather and a bit of worry.Who knows.
I should be able to call in more often now that I have a clearer idea on how much time I need to spend each week studying.2-4 hours a day and no more. That way I can have 1 day off a week to myself.
Catch you all soon,I have missed you all so much.

Good Maen everyone!! Glad to see you here Nola!! I can also relate to the psoriasis, my mom has it & I have eczema...sometimes it gets really bad, but for the most part I have it under control. I found when it was warm & I would perspire or get very stressed out about somethingit was worse. My dermatologist (when it was bad) gave me B-Complex shots to help. Good luck Nola, hope you are better soon.

Sorry I didn't get back to you about the weather Nola. Things are a little better just now, still fairly cold 1C today but a wind chill making it feel a bit colder. Snow in our are is thawing. I think there is more snow promised for later in the week but not sure if our area will be affected

Reporting in as requested. Doc did X ray in his office , good for my pocketbook! He sees something he do not like , might be a fracture, so I go to morrow to orthopedist. Al will take me, cause it is further and driving today was a but not comfy. I was lucky to get appointment on short notice for something that is a " might be", instead of a for sure.

Later, friends, and hugs, it is nap time now

Morning all!
Crime of the day: Queenslanders are being asked not to put too many mangoes in their garbage bins because it makes them too heavy - and we are being asked to pay $3 each for mangoes down here!!! Sob

Why don't Queenslanders leave excess mangoes for the wildlife? Or ship some over to your area to lower costs? Sometimes, people make me confused.

Heidi, we're talking about enough mangoes to make your bin too heavy for the trash trucks to pick up from private trees rather than farms. It doesn't work either way! I sob again!

Hello ,

I"M BACK..... and happy to say that I completed all of the zoo goals, and have been playing with the cafe and farm apps which allow me to take part in here again on a regular basis....they are cute games that don't absorb me in the same way...and boy am I glad.
For all of you that I haven't seen or chatted with for far too many moons, I do hope that life is treating you fairly well. All of the needed healing has hopefully taken place and we are once again a healthy group. I have not begun trying to catch up, but to those who have had good things going on...Wonderbar...may they continue.
I will be checking in at least once a day and hope to run into some of you on occasion. I do hope the weather cools down across the pond, and warms up topside...Strange weather when our southern U.S. states are in the deep freeze as they have been or near freezing...I did hear Tami and MizT screaming while I worked the farm.....lol. Heidi I didn't envy you having to care for all of the animals during this extreme cold either...and I've heard of the sleepless nights and days the dugs have endured due to heat and humidity....better days to all of us! Peace...Catch you later.

I get to welcome Theresa to the group and congratulate eaa on her topps....now to change my avatar....Heidi...yours is beautiful BTW. and of course Condolences on the animal loss...but welcome to Rain...may she bring a shower of blessings your way.

BTW, Heidi, glad you like my avatar. Found a whole bunch on www.picsearch.com, just have to resize & submit when I have some time to kill. The last few avatars I sent in got approved VERY quickly!! Thanks to Gath or whoever is doing that!!!

Thanks for the update Gail. My husband and I don't do nearly enough of that!
I am on FB but don't play any of the games they have like Farmville, etc. I just don't have the time and I know I would get addicted.
Thanks for the message Nola. I already feel that there are friends out there throughout the world. Hope your health problems clear up soon.

My husband just got a call that his aunt passed away this afternoon, so the next few days might be a bit hectic. Hope to touch base from time to time though. Take care everyone.
