Good morning Liz and Gail!
Hooray! I just went outside to check on the temp. - it's dropped! Good thing too, as I'd started to stick to my chair ...
Am I hearing thunder out there? Did I feel a couple of drops of rain ...? Fingers crossed!
Oh, and the mail has come and we have a hard rubbish collection coming up - maybe we can get rid of some of the stuff that's cluttering up our garage! :D

Good morning lovely SA people.
Gail,Bean, Lizzy, Judy - hope that cool change comes in quickly. Our temps here are cooler but our humidity is the worst.
To the topsiders - hope a warm change comes in for you, except of course for Vici who still wants more snow. If Tami's around - our morning paper story on the big freeze in US featured a photo of ice covered plants in Florida!
Heidi, MizT and June - hope your ills, aches and pain and coughs disappear and quickly.
Where is Julie? I know she's still recovering from her knee op but she was calling in occasionally - haven't seen her since Christmas. Did she say she was going away?

Sorry to hear about the health problems June, Heidi and MizT.
Doesn't seem like any of us are having ideal weather ... too hot or too cold. Our long range forecast calls for 0 C on Wednesday and possibly +2 for Thursday. Of course we all know how reliable weather reports are.

Hi Theresa and Viv!

Viv, sorry about your infection, hope you're over it soon.

Cooler here, but still rather muggy. I've opened all the windows to let the air through the house - feels a lot better.

Hi Judy. Glad it is a bit cooler for you.
I remember those days from when I used to live in Geelong.
At least you can feel the difference.
When we get a cool change here it does not make much difference, the humidity is awful this time of year.

Hubby couldn't decide what he wanted for lunch...so we're going out!
Theresa, on SA this is known as 'doing a gail'! When you have been here a while, you will understand why...

Suzanne, I am not a wimp. I am just a Floridian (by choice). I have been in Florida since I am 4 years old and am not accustomed to the cold.
MizT, LOVE!!!!! the baseball story. Started to laugh and the boys wanted to know what was so funny. Did not tell them. Hope the wrist is feeling better soon.
Today was actually the coldest morning. About 35 (1.6 c). I drove Mitchell to school. I have a thermostat in the car. It alternated between 35 and ICE. There was no ice on the windshield but I guess it was warning me of the possibility.

Hi Broni - nothing worse than that first day at krow. Especially when you know it's going to be bedlam even before you get there.

Note to Theresa - there are some words that we spell backwards here because they are necessary activities that we don't like doing.

Hi Cyn,
Found out Christmas eve that D&D will not be back for another two weeks, so when I am not here there is only one salesman to handle the calls, customers and warehouse...go figure!

CynB.... I thought "those" words were spelled backwards because we don't like to swear in 'polite' society.

Suzanne.... I have to side with Tami on this one. Her body is acclimated to a warmer temperature. So, 35℉ IS bitter cold. I, personally, could not handle Florida temperatures year around... The heat and humidity would kill me. I think it's easier to bundle up and stay warm than to try to cool off all the time. You can shed just so much clothing, and still remain decent.

By the way, TTT has the NASTY habit of calling me every year on Christmas day to BRAG about walking on the beach as I am braving freezing temps here, does anyone feel sorry for me???????

Heidi: I agree with you on that point for the most part, BUT, putting up with winter from Halloween to (at least one year) Memorial Day for almost 6 years is getting a bit much when my joints ache (from my Cerebral Palsy as a child). That is one of the reasons I can't wait to sell this house & move!!!!

I couldn't handle those long winters any more myself, Suzanne. That's why I no longer live in Wisconsin. Nine months of winter and 3 months of bad skiing weather (and I don't ski) is too much. At least in Kentucky, winter is short. Basically just January and February, with a little spillover into March.

I wish we could have Spring and Fall most of the time, with ridiculously short Winters and Summers. That's probably why I miss Costa Rica so much. The Central Plateau is 72℉ / 22℃ year around.
