Julie - no snow in the forecast - such a BUMMER!!! Looks like we'll be in wet weather for almost 2 weeks.
Heidi - I have to say, you look so cute in your cast...hope this slows you down a bit so you will heal quickly. Was cracking up at how quickly you had the splint smilie...was that already in your repertoire?

Looks like I'll be working indoors today. Still moving into the new bathrooms and laundry room. Been putting matting on the shelves. Ran out in the laundry room. It is heaven living in the new side of the house. Seems like it has been such a long time coming.
all around!

I must have been psychic, Vici. I added that smilie
a few days before I hurt my hand. It was actually one of several I added in honor of MizTricia.

I'm hoping to be out of this splint in a couple of weeks. I may get mad at it and take it off sooner! It makes doing my necessary farm chores very difficult.

That smilie is adorable.
Cyn - I see your avatar on Easy looks just like the photograph you gave me when I visited. Fond memories of our meet in Sydney!

Miss you too Nola....
Vici, apparently Idol is going to be 'rested' this year because ratings are down. All 4 of the girls looked like they'd had enough yesterday. They need a rest too.
I don't know why I'm awake when I'm still tired, think I will try to go back to bed...

Hi all.
I need to get cleaned up for a funeral. You might remember me mentioning a very much loved Lion's Club member who passed last year. Everybody in the community respected Ralph and his wife Charlotte. Their son Davy passed away a week or 2 ago. Now Charlotte just passed away. She was a true lady in every respect.

I mean, really, how many people do you know who have had their foot broken by an elephant when they were 10 years old? How many have been shipwrecked on a deserted island in the Pacific Ocean? How many have had their van covered in molten dark chocolate while they're driving down the street? How many have roped escaped bulls when they broke out of their pen at a bullfight and attacked the crowd (I was riding by on horseback at the time)??? I can go on and on..... My life is not boring. I can't escape that.

Good morning lovely SA people.
to Susan. Hope you have a good day and I hope you look in to SA if you have time.
(H/B also to my Andrew, not that he'd be flitting around these pages.)
Heidi - I remember you saying about Davey passing and now his mother! RIP Charlotte.
Vici - yes, I love this avatar. The beach at sunset on a balmy day - heaven. Not going to be heaven here today - mid 30's (Celsius), not as high as Rolanda is expecting but our will have the high uncomfortable, sticky, yukky humidity.
Broni - sore ribs? Did I miss something?

Charlotte was in a nursing home, and was actually recovering from a stroke. They told her about Davey's passing and she died the next day. Davey had been her daily companion and/or visitor since Ralph died 1 year ago.
She just gave up her will to live.

Hello, Everyone!
Mamacita, thinking of you as you mark Sully's birthday! I understand, as 4 of my 5 siblings and I had tacos and pizza at "Manny's Pizza" in my hometown yesterday to celebrate my Dad's b-day on Jan. 10. Many positive thoughts wending your way!

Hello to Bean, Rolanda, Gail, Suzy, CynB, Tami the T, V Vici, Heidi, Nola and Broni!
I guess we'll need to be satisfied by "fly-bys" from Nola now. Good luck with the studying!
Suzy, did you need to deliver the driver's license? Have you and the Pride girls recovered from their long night of performing? Wow, a birthday party for 3 siblings, 2 of whom were born on their brother's birthday. Hopefully the older brother is at least 10!

Julie/Suzy - My husband has twin sisters born 11 months after him - his mother claims to have triplets for 3 weeks of the year! He also has 2 older brothers and one younger one, born just 14 months after the twins. She had 6 kids in just under 6 years. Then she rested! Ha - as if!

I'm being a bad girl right now, but it feels SO good! My splint had gotten wet and sweaty inside, so I took it off to let it dry for a bit. That allows me to type with the thumb and index finger of my right hand as well, now!!! What a thrill! But I'll have to put it back on in a little bit to protect the injury.
