Haven't seen a comment from MizT for a few days. Hope you're feeling OK, MizT and no broken bones - or water pipes!

It's too late for Tami now, as she has school tomorrow. It's kind of late for Suzanne, too.

Heidi usually feeds the dogs this late - or later. Hope she's getting some help from you-know-who with the chores!

I had worked that much out Heidi...I knew that you would have been aware of what post you were at. Its very quite here today...I roasting a turkey breast with all the trimmings so I can take it over to my MIL tomorrow and reheat it...it is her 90th birthday. The wife of Pete's nephew said she would organise the family get together [heard how incapacitated I am at the moment] but i haven't heard anything...must chase them up.. Have a cake to make next...
Bye for now...

Congrats on the TOPP, Bean! So nice to see you here more than once a day!

One of these days, I need to find TimTams in the store to see if I think they're as good as others do (Bean, Vici, etc.)

Hi everyone! I've been reading, but not posting for a while, though catching up with many on the other site. Hope you're all well and happy.
Heidi, wow, you've had an adventurous life! Hope the hand is better soon - I sure know about the itching a cast causes!
Went to see Mum and Dad on Sunday - my oldest brother was there too, so that was good. Took lots of books about places we travelled to, so spent a lot of time showing them the pictures and chatting about them. Dad looks very frail and Mum's memory is not so good, but they were cheerful and enjoyed hearing about our travels. I made a vegie slice (recipe from a magazine) and left it for Dad (Mum wouldn't even try it!)- Dad just told me it was delicious, so that's a bonus - maybe it'll put a bit of weight onto him...
Raining cats and dogs yesterday, but sunshine in between - should be good for the garden! We went to a new nursery the other day and bought lots of plants, but I haven't got around to planting anything.
We have a "hard rubbish" collection next week-end, so spent some time emptying the "big cupboard" - Rob got a beer kit for Christmas, and needs to find a dark place to set it up ...

Welcome back Rola, and glad your vacation was enjoyable. It enabled you to have a break and get rested too...wow.Families usually tire folks out trying to cram loads of stuff into one visit...glad you were able to have the time to rest while still having fun swimming in the deep ...it helps spread the relaxed feelings.
To all thanks for your continued love and support...I enjoyed my b/d celebration for Sully....good memories allow comfort to seep into special days and release the joy that was shared. Broni...hope you are finding that to be so concerning your wonderful time with JD.
Gail, You are right...this site does have all of the soap opera components...drama,teen angst, old folks moaning and whinging, drama filled days, boring days, anger, disappointments, s*xy stories, fun, sorrow, weddings, divorce....but ahhhh, we keep our hanky panky stuff kinda quiet..lol
Well, was going to comment on other things, but craft has found me...so just a loving shout out to the rest of you folk and my wish for speedy and complete healing for our sickies....no more doing a Heidi allowed Broni...just the Gails ! Peace!

Hi all, yes I am in Melbourne and it has been a cool day with showers. I have had a chat with Bean on the phone this evening until my son got home. Grandson has played with the Wii most of the day. Will take him to the movies tomorrow. Relaxing and reading a book (athough there was a lot of taking the washing in and out between showers)

Glad you've got the computer up and working June...
I just dropped bye to tell the folks that you have made it safely to Melbourne and chatting to you has left me, once again, impressed with your generosity...you give so much of yourself and do so much for your kids and grandies. I cannot imagine what it must be like to have a mum like you in the wings. I did it all alone. Didn't ever had anyone to help out when Lachie was young...

Hi everyone, I actually do not have school today. It is Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday. Not the actual day, just the day celebrated as a national holiday. Tomorrow is a teacher's only day. I will be in meetings and training all day, but at least I won't have to deal with the kiddies. I will be in school Wednesday and Thursday and I am taking Friday off the get ready for Mitchell's big day on Saturday.

I don't know if this affects anybody down under but I am including a link to the website that lists all of the recalled Tylenol, and other, products. The recall was recently expanded.

http://www.mcneilproductrecall.com/

It includes Tylenol, Motrin, Rolaids, Simply Sleep and St. Josephs Aspirin. If you have any of these products in your house, please check on them. I will be back later. Gotta go to the doctor to get my yearly check-up.

CynB, Yes I have heard of the case back when it happened! Thanks for the link. He gets to stay in australia?? this I have to read! 18 months in jail?? and they are not coperating with the USA to let Alabama retry him?

OK, being retired is a bit of double jeopardy, but only 18 months? this thing is many sided! Wonder what happens when he is released in Australia? Can never return to the USA?

Interesting, thanks for sharing this with me.

Waiting today to see if insurance has approved OT the doc ordered. I would like to go at least a couple times, let them showme what I can do at home.

Hugs and love to all who need them and I am out of here for today. Might try reading to catch up, do not need the limp wing for using the mouse, that is a good thing.

Yes, Suzanne, an elephant. I went to a carnival with my aunt, and they offered elephant rides. As I was climbing up onto the howdah, the elephant took a dislike to me. I hadn't done anything to cause it. It reached back with it's trunk, grabbed me off it's back and threw me to the ground. It then stepped on my foot. The handler yelled at me, not believing that I had done nothing to the elephant to cause it. Now that I know more about elephants, I can understand what happened a little. I don't think it was anything personal. The elephant may not have been feeling well.... an abcessed tooth, arthritis, or some such thing, and was protesting having to work.

Been thinking of all of you Melbournites (and June, too) as I started watching the early rounds of the Australian Open. So happy to see you got some rain and cooler weather (even though it suspended some play). It is very cool to recognize the city from personal experience as they pan over the city with aerial shots.

I agree, Suzanne - but we have a very rainy day here...I imagine a lot of parents are carting their kids off to the matinee. This will be the first time I've gotten Mike to a movie theater since we were dating. He HATES going...so I can't convince him that the theater will be empty enough for his tastes.
Heidi - thanks for commenting on Dr. King. I am surprised no one (that I've noticed) has made any reference to him on Easy. I'm ashamed of our stateside folks for that.
June - enjoy your time at the movies with your G'son!

Hello, Everyone!

I must react to Heidi's story about the elephant. It's SOO much more than just having an elephant step on your foot. Wow! It reached up and lifted you off with its trunk and threw you to the ground!? Have you ever been able to be near an elephant again? (I know you worked in a zoo, but don't remember the specific animals who had the benefit of your presence there.)

Hello to Bean, Heidi, Judy, Mamacita, June, Gail, Broni, Tami the T, MizT, Suzanne, and V Vici!

I agree with Vici and Heidi about Dr. MLKing! Too bad we don't have many more people like him!

Heidi, I hope the full story about having chocolate dumped on you and your car is better than the elephant! And - what's this about being shipwrecked on a deserted island? Inquiring minds want to know!
