If you are worried about baiting, then have a word with the local police, just to give them a heads-up that there might be a problem in the future, and keep the note.

We've kept the note so we have that as evidence if anything happens.

Good morning all! The last of the older ones is back at school so it is just Ian home now. Although, I'll be heading to Boston to pick up Bryana on Friday for an open weekend. She normally has classes on Saturday, but this week they have midterms, so they get a long weekend break. She has to be back by Monday night. Been very busy with all the kids, the first round of financial aid forms and copying all my cd's onto my computer so I can put them on my new ipod. All very time consuming!(haven't even gotten to my email, so far behind!!)

Hope everyone has been well and feeling better!

Heidi, so sorry to hear about Lucky. :( I have fond memories of your stories of all of Lucky's antics. Your send off sounded beautiful!

June, I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip to Egypt. I'm sure that you will not encounter any of the problems that Meghan had as a young lady there on her own. If not for those problems, I would love to see the magnificent sights in Egypt. There was a beach area (I'll have to find out where) that she absolutely loved and would go back to visit.

Ian had to sell chocolate bars(to raise money for the marching band to go to Disney World) at the mall on Saturday and Sunday(long days!) I talked Jerry into coming with me on Sunday and we took a break from watching the boys sell to go see a movie. We saw the Sherlock Holmes movie. It was slow in parts, but ok. It seemed like it would be more suitable as a series of tv movies rather than on the big screen. Ian made almost $200 for his trip!

We had torrential rains with flooding and high winds yesterday. My yard was flooded, but the waters have receded and there is a small frozen pond left in the front yard and a not-yet frozen bigger pond in the middle of the driveway. I need to drive to the bottom to get the mail! It's been a weird winter!

Checking in for a fast hello this morning. I am off today to get squished, again. caqll back, but that is about par for me, they have done it last 2 times. I have fibrocystic breasts, they want to make sure they are seeing cysts. Gee, wish they would just MARK them so they know. Sometimes I think I get singled out cause I have insurance that pays for these extras.

Cyn, cowardly neighbors, not signing the note. Hope you have no more problems with them.

HI stella, busy as usual with the children. enjoy having byranna home for the long wekend.

OK, time for breakfast and then out the door. Hugs to everyone.

Good Morning friends!
Like MzT, I'm a "hi" and a "bye" today.
Cyn - keeping my fingers crossed for a peaceful solution to your neighbor issues...we have some horror stories going on up here re: neighbor stuff. But that's for another time.
Gail - should have figured as much - sneaky Beth!
Suzanne - do keep us posted if you chat with Marianne...would love to hear how their house is coming along.
MzT - squish appointment - no fun! Had mine last month.
Stella - love the summaries...you are as good as Julie at that - great to see you here!
Suzy - need to get over to see the video...later today perhaps.
OK - that's all from me!

I admit I have never been able to cure my Collies of barking insanely at the cats. It's like none of them has ever seen a cat before! In all fairness to the dogs, the cats delight in teasing them.

MizT....... getting squished. I normally have to have the x-rays redone about 12 times - not because of cysts, but because of bruises. (( At night, when the dogs jump on the bed, they don't care where they land.))

Playing escapees again this morning - that's what I call it when I escape into the computer. If I unescape I will have to do ffuts! I decided it can wait.

Heidi, that's a definate wow! I wonder if she swore under her breath when you walked in on her? Or held it and held it for as long as she could hoping you'd go away? I know, giving animals people characteristics, but it makes me laugh.

MizT, SA has corrupted me to try that thing with hot pans and boxes and edible stuff, and to pull things out of the ground, next I'm going to go off for my first squishy test - though I'm managing to resist that level of corruption for now... Good luck and I hope you get good results in the end.

Heidi, I wonder if they believe you that the dogs are bruising you? Maybe they think you have a side job doing underground wrestling?

Stella, I'm glad for Meghan that her long weekend comes AFTER her exams so she can rest and enjoy the weekend at home. How long is your driveway that you have to drive to the end to get mail?!

I just listened to Ally's video again. It's hilarious hearing her try to sound Aussie. I have always thought people were exaggerating when they said Ally and Ebob sound very American, until I heard this song!

it really was cool to watch, Suzy. She was shaking and shivering, and looked like she was straining hard. The male was quite concerned and hopping on and off the nest, twittering like mad. All of a sudden, she relaxed and nestled down. I was starting to worry that she might be egg bound, and was trying to remember where my heating pad was. Fortunately, everything is OK.

Heidi, now I'm wondering if it's always like that when they lay their eggs or if this egg was particularly hard to lay. Was this one like having a 12 lb baby perhaps?

That's my guess. I was thinking more along the line of a giant watermelon.
I've watched chickens lay eggs, and the eggs just seem to fall out with no straining.

Snort! Next door has 2 dogs in season - labs - and the son got 2 male labs 'free to good home' before he left to move to another town. He left the dogs here of course. They are locking the females inside overnight (are dogs only 'interested' during the day?) and one of the males is sitting outside crying all night. Anyway... I just heard the mother next door yelling at the dogs - get off her! Yeah, like that's gonna work!

Good morning lovely SA people.
Still laughing at the bird passing a watermelon. That's what I reckon it's like to have a human baby - like trying to pass a watermelon.
MizT - have fun getting squished - unfortunately a necessary evil.
Stella - nice to see you around.
Mariana might not visit us here much but she occasionally posts on FB, so she must be OK.
Kids go back to school today so I hope the dog will calm down today. There will be less noise around. But, it only takes one dog in the distance to start ALL the dogs in the neighbourhood off. That's what annoys me most - she's by far not the only culprit.

Hi everyone. I am in a much better mood today.
Heidi, no I did not catch IH's flu, just had a rotten nights sleep.
Mitchell is watching over my shoulder and I can't remember a thing.
Heidi, he thinks your "puppies in 63 days" comment is abusive but he won't tell me why. I think he is just trying to be obnoxious.

Good to see you among the living, Tami...you did good, girl. Congrats on your successful weekend.
Heidi - I'm cracking up at that watermelon remark, too...I can't get the picture out of my head!
Hey Cyn! I do see Marianna over on fb from time to time, too.
Just stopping by after my busy day out with errands and such. I'm heating up turkey soup that Mike made a month ago that was frozen and throwing in a bagette ('stick' for you Aussies) - easy peasy dinner tonight.

Home again and having a cup of coffee before getting stuck into ffuts. The girls sang a song today that made me think of you guys - particularly Theresa.. Slim Dusty, Leave him in the Long Yard. I found it on youtube..

Back home again. Lots of pages that I will not have tine to read. Forgot to tell some of my friends I would be away and came home to 97 Emails!
We went into Melbourne yesterday with the two boys to see all the Australia Day celebrations. We are not as young as we used to be so we were quite worn out when we got them back home. (Their father was with us!!)
