Suzy what sort of crafts are you interested in?
I make greetings card, when I have the time, which isn't as often as I like. On an evening when I'm sitting with the family watching TV I like to do a little bit of patchwork. I mean a little I have been on the same item for a few years now and am no where near to getting it finished

Hi Brenda
I do a bit of lots of things... I knit (only little things now as I have carpel tunnel/RSI or whatever they're calling it no), crochet, naive embroidery, patchwork (all machine)... basically whatever I can get my hands on. I get a hold of something and go nuts for a while - I've made several pairs of fingerless gloves and lots of mobile phone socks this year, one year it was beaded edges on socks.

Oh and scrunchies, I've made hundreds of scrunchies... I see kids all over wearing them and taught a group of kids how to make them last year.

Morning all, it sounds odd making socks for mobile phones! I love knitting but find that wool shops are hard to find. Mostly I make coats for penguins (ones that have been caught in oil)I am pleased to say so far this year there hasn't been any call for them.

Thought I'd call in have a cuppa with some of our SA4 friends - but there's been nobody about for over 5 hours.
I'll just leave some morning tea for any passers-by.
Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Update on Mr Invincible (hubby) - his eye is OK this morning - he must have dislodged whatever it was. Put drops in every 2 hours until he went to bed and slept with eye-patch on.
He's lucky because he has to work tomorrow and you can't drive a big truck with one eye safely.

All. Why does going to town take all day? I got home in time to serve dinner. Good thing I bought it before I came home.

CynB, I am glad your hubby's eye is better. Same sort of thing happened to my hubby a few years ago, piece of saw dust. I had to take him to the doctor also, and it turned out okay. I like your Good Night smilie, it sure is cute.

Just checking in here and catching up. Cyn B, glad hubby is OK, yes, he needs both eyes to drive.
Lynda, Making coats for penguines, now that is most interesting. what are the coats made of? and why do the penguines need coats? and who puts the coats on them?
It is getting near my bedtime here, and I have a couple more things to do fore bedtime. Catch you on the flip side.

Miz T, when penguins are caught in oil they have to be washed, they lose their waterproofing and can't keep warm. The coats are knitted from wool and the wild life carers put them on whent he penguins are in the wildlife shelter. Take some time for the penguins to get back to normal. They look very colourful.

Thanks CynB, all they are really are tubes, the penguin doesn't get arm holes! Well wing holes. It was the ABC radio that got many of us knitting, they appealed for knitters to make the jackets and got hundreds of them. They are sent all over the world. They can only be used once which is a pity.

Yes, Bean, I've been wandering about now and then during the evening between easy and SA4 - not a soul about. I just had to leave the site and wrestle the remote off hubby. He gave up and went to bed.
How rude of me - Hi MizT - that coffee looks good but I'mm off to bed soon so I'd better not have any.

Well the cat is well and truly out of the bag...the 'Surprise Guests' had a wonderful lunch. We were duly welcomed with much ceremony and shown over the estate. My navigator managed to get us to Cockatoo safely with only one detour....had to take the Scenic Route!! Apparently it wasn't the navigators fault- the driver [moi] cracked a funny and he was distracted from the map. At least that is HIS story and he's sticking with it.
We did take one wrong turn on the way home ... despite Lachie telling me to go straight ahead I ignored him 'cause I didn't think we had to go through Rowville [which was where he was directing me]. Suppose we are square now.
Hannah had NO IDEA! The look on her face was precious....SURPRISE.............
I suspect we made them late - they were going out for dinner and we sort of lost track of time once we started talking.......... Can you believe that?
Worst type of visitor..you know the type..won't get the hint and go home.... SORRY MATE!
Promise to wear a watch with a bigger face and keep track of the time next meet.

Too many posts to go before TOPPs. I haven't even looked at how many posts there are yet but will do so after I post this.

I've been out all day today. I promised I would take an older friend of mine to look for some garden furniture. She has just spent a small fortune on her house and garden and wants a new set for her new block paved patio.
We have been to every outlet which sells garden furniture with no luck.
Though we did stop and have lunch out, that was nice.

She has now been on the phone and has decided that there was a set of furniture at the second place we visited. I now need to try and borrow a vehicle large enough to take it, as they couldn't deliver for a few weeks. My friend wants it NOW.

I wish I hadn't gone looking with her now as I have seen a table and chairs I would love. It is so different from any I have seen before. It is triangular and will seat 6 comfortably. Wonder how I should broach the subject with my DH
