Most of you seem to be having a good week-end.Hope you can get out on the boat Broni!
It is raining slightly here tonight. At least the rainwater tank will start to fill again.Luckily son came over and helped clean it out and I didn't have to.I entertained the 3 boys, really it was the other way around.

Dogs don't understand "next week". All she knows is that she wants to be loose NOW. Poor girl.

Morning all!

MizT, your flowers sound lovely. I hope I have some time, and nice weather, to play with mine a little this weekend.

Brenda, so glad Callie is doing well.

Bean, how wonderful to catch up with old friends. I remember Tommy Trouble!!

Rena, you are going to have to stop taking on so much so that we can see more of you! No, it sounds like great fun - except the inventory bit.

I have just marked my first set of papers - and made a right mess of it too! I'm glad I marked the quick quiz BEFORE I marked the topic test so I had some practice!

I'm awake super early as I slept on and off most of yesterday. This prac is kicking my butt.

Suzy, Hard slogging now but just think how much better it will be when you are finished, get you DipEd and then get paid to teach. Just think of the money!
Our dinner at the bowling club is generally a BBQ and with members taking turns to prepare the salads. The club does not have caterers. Always good fun. Today it is off to a local club for lunch for MIL's birthday(last Thurs). When er go to this place Laura decides she wants to have lobster.Expensive tastes!(half Lobster is $19 so guess what Sharon will have to have as Laura will only eat a small part)

Glad Callie is improving Brenda. That was quite a long cut. I spent a long time cleaning up the car port and autumn leaves yesterday so a few aches today. I have my pink camelia in full bloom and the leaves of the cherry just turning and falling. Autumn and spring at the same time!

Hi everyone. The afternoon storms have passed and hubby took the boys for a swim. I decided to stay home for some peace and quiet. When the boys are home, it is never quiet.

Grumble, grumble, I am an old grouch, not fit for company today. I will pop back in tomorrow when things will hopefully be greatly improved. Nothing major, just uncomfortable. I have been reading to keep me company, and all your posts help entertain me, thank you.

Tami, peace and quiet, aaaahhhh, that's what I get in the early mornings.

June, another meal out! I'm turning green. I hope it is a good one and your MIL feels very special.

After the mess I made of the quick quiz I decided to mark the topic test in pencil - and just as well I did too. Without knowing what experiments they actually did before I got there, and without knowing what the author of the tests had in mind, I found it very hard to be consistent from one paper to the next... But it's done now, to the best of my ability, and the teacher can check it over before they go back to the kids.

Good Afternoon, Sudoku Friends! Hello, Broni, Heidi, Suzy, Gail, Rolanda, Bean, Mamacita, MizTricia, Tami the T, Rena, Brenda, Nola and June. I see I don't have Becky, Dizzy Lizzy, Silly Susan, V Viv, or V Vici on that list. I'm sure I'm missing others! I hope you're all having a wongerful day!

Let's see: Nola did NOT need to help hubby clean out the rainwater tank, as son arrived just in time, leaving Nola to be entertained by 3 boys. She also has some knitting to be finished before winter. (Wish I could knit - never got past a plain old winter scarf.)

Heidi is seeing some sunshine, looking forward to Lady being returned to her owner, discussing $$ with hubby, needing to replace the tractor door, but above all else, looking forward to a trip to Florida. Have fun watching the Belmont Stakes!

Rena made a brief visit with the school year and Brownie/Girl Guide year coming to an end. Good luck with the inventory of camping equipment and being the "consultant" for would-be campers!

Bean had the opportunity to visit with old friends.

Broni hopes to have good weather and to feel well enough to go out on the water this weekend.

Brenda and Callie returned to the vet for a check-up (Callie, not Brenda). Callie really had a long incision! Her hair is growing back, so she's feeling more like herself, though she doesn't enjoy going for a walk on a leash.

Suzy had the opportunity to mark test papers. (What color do you use? In the U.S., some teachers have switched from red to purple. In the primary grades many of the teachers also use blue, green and orange.) Don't worry, grading will get easier, especially when it's your own class and you know what has been taught and what the students should know. I hope you have some time to work with the flowers/in the garden this weekend.

June, I hope you enjoyed the meal at bowls and the birthday dinner for your MIL. Wow, Laura likes lobster? Interesting choice for a little one. Our grandie is more predictable: mac & cheese or hot dog usually are an eating-out choice. I hope you feel better after all the autumn leaf removal yesterday!

Tami the T, I'm sorry I left you hanging last night so you couldn't post. I didn't realize I was at the bottom of the page, or I would have posted once more so you could post. I hope you enjoy the quiet time while the Beastie Boys are swimming.

MizTricia, I hope you are feeling more comfortable and didn't need to spend too much of the day grumbling! Is it weather related? I can try to send some sunshine down your way.

We had enough rain last night to be able to get rain water this morning for the kettle.Nice timing.
More stuff to do around the house now and off to afternoon shift later.Bye for now.

Julie's memory IS impressive!
Interesting race. I would have shot the sportscasters, though. There was an inquiry after the race involving the finish of the second, third and fourth place horses... interference in the stretch run.... instead, they went to commercials, and when they got back to the racetrack they never told us the results of the inquiry. Or the final finish of all the horses. We only know the winner for sure. Summer Bird. Half brother to Mine That Bird.

Rena, I am sure things will be a lot less hectic now you have stopped being a guide leader. Is Amber still going to be in guides? Was just going through the photos still on my camera yesterday and realised that I still haven't uploaded the photos from when you were here. I will send them to you in an email...if I ever work out how!

BTW Forgot to mention in relation to putting shopping away that Hannah always puts away the fridge and freezer stuff as soon as we get home. Actually it was quite a pleasure putting the cans and drys away in our newly cleaned up pantry, which is STILL tidy might I add!

Hello SA8ers, just popping in after 3 pages of reading!!! Bellydance show last night was GREAT!!! We went to dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory in SLC...better than the one in Provo, bad experience at that one with hubby! My friend did not perform, this show was for professionals!! Got to see some of her friends that she dances with!!! Some great gals!! I wish I could do that, but the coordination issues from my Cerebral Palsy causes me all sorts of balance issues, I can trip over cracks in the sidewalk!!!
To those who are under the weather, feel better. To all the rest of you stay well!! I'll try to stop in tomorrow, TTFN!!

Oh, dear, I thought I submitted a / comment about an hour ago. I wasn't sure when evening ends and night begins. I still don't know, and I also don't know where my comment went. I hope you are all have a wongerful day.

MizTricia, I hope the sunshine I sent your way found you! Perhaps nicer weather and some relaxation may help you through the day. Feel better, dear, and take care of yourself!

Hi, Bean! Who cares about boxes? If they're artistically stacked, they count as decorating.

Hi, Rolanda! How are things in the bog swamp? I'm sure Gail will be pleased to sort our your pantry.

Hi, Gail! Thanks for posting your menu! I'll be right over. How nice that your pantry is remaining well sorted! (Did you put a lock on it?)

Hi, Suzanne! Nice to see you here tonight. Hmm, professional belly dancers. Does that mean they get paid or are in a review that gets booked professionally? I'm glad you enjoyed dinner!
