I have to run to town for some quikcrete to set a new corner post, and for more dog food. I won't have time to do puzzles until later.

Sudokuland!! I was here yesterday, missed 3 pages of posts!!! Can't remember all I read, still waiting for the first cup of coffee to kick in!! Hubby worked OT again last night...He had 69 hours of OT last paycheck! Next check will be about the same.

So when is Fionafest?? I wish I could be there, would LOVE to meet everyone!! Someone will hopefully take & post photos for those of us who can't be there.
Getting things ready for our trip to Washington on 7/23...We have some prospective listings for housing there...We probably won't put our house on the market until after the holidays...

Heidi: LOVE the Daffy Duck avatar!!! Darrell worked for Warner Brothers when we first met...When I went to lunch with my friend Janet a couple of weeks ago, there was a lithograph of all of the characters on the studio lot...LOVED it, but it was nearly $5,000!!! It was the ONLY one ever made!!! Would have loved to have it in the house, but the pricetag was out of my budget!!!

How is the housing market in your neck of the woods Suzanne? It is very slow here in Stevenage though might just be picking up a little. A solicitor friend was saying that they had done four times as much conveyancing work last month than they had the month before, but still not a big up turn on work.

Forgot to add something to last night's post.
While I was at Bean's, we were looking up a recipe for dhal to have with the curry that was on the menu last night. When I got near the shops, I gave hubby a quick ring to find out what I needed to get at the shop and he said it was all taken care of???
He and Hannah had gone to the shop after he picked her up from school, shopped for dinner and came home to get it cooked so I didn't have to do it, he knows how tiring yardwork can be.
He prepared a veritable feast!
We had a Lamb Korma, Beef Vindaloo, Dhal and several accompaniments!
What a champion he is.

Last day in China. This morning they are off in the morning to visit the Kid Castle Kindergarten. Next there is a treat in store for them…LOL

Then, on to Ranghulu to have a late lunch at a restaurant which specialises in local northeast cuisine, and then Go Karts for the afternoon.
Ranghula has a population: 226298. Can’t find any information or ideas as to why one would visit Ranghulu…unless it is just to go karting…

that is a bit how I am feeling today!
Hopefully my first cuppa for the day will do the trick!!
Have read but retained little...should have had the coffee first.

Hi All. Computer problems have now landed here ...again.I can't open the 'more' in the comments, so I haven't been able to read everything...
However, I did finish all of my ffuts with the hot slidey thing while the weather was still nice...I am slowly getting things organized so I do believe that I will be able to take Fiona fest by storm....hoping I can outdo the prospect of any bad weather...we do want out international visitor to enjoy her trip.
Heidi,,,don't don't you dare get sick...you need this vacation more than any of us....take whatever you need, whatever will help to make you feel better and avoid not feeling up to par. Sure hope you can get back in shape...tea and honey will be a start anyway!

Having a wongerful time here.. China is so Beautiful. We leave tomorrow sometime and fly back to Hong Kong. Then home on Saturday arriving late in the evening.
Here in Daqing, which is where Peter's Cousin Geoff and his wife Judy live and work. We will be going to lunch soonish, and will meet up with Judy's Parents.
