NOLA, that is what I find so remarkable, with this food plan I have no cravings! I am not hungry. In fact, I need to watch the clock to be sure I get my snacks and meals on time. I know i will enjoy the peaches I am putting into the freezer, but really, I do not feel deprived at all.

Gee, I know I read other things! YEAH, Rena not close to the fires, but boho, that smoke can get too you. Couple of years ago, smoke traveled from the Florida Everglades here for about 2 weeks, YUCK.

I am falling into the computer, time for my meds and bed. It took pain meds tonight to get bck easy, but i did a lot today between my rests. I must call tomorrow to find when the MRI .

OK, off to find my snack and my meds and my pillow, hopefully in that order.

Just dropping in to say Good Night to everyone! It's past midnight here. Good Night, MizT! Good Night, Heidi! Have the dogs been fed? I'm glad you were able to have another day with the sheep! I'm so sorry you need to sell them to protect them. Sure wish there were an easier way!

Enjoy the rest of your day - those who are just in the afternoon. Stay well, Everyone!

Hi everyone.
Another lovely day here ands about 20*c.
Our bowling carnival went well. Finished today so I do not have to make any more rice or pasta salads.
Yesterday we played in the mixed fours and we won the morning prize for the highest score in the morning game. We got $30 each but it did cost $20 each to enter and with a few raffle tickets we did not make very much profit on the day!

Hi Judy - yes this flu is horrible - I don't think I've ever had a bout of flu that was (a) so different, and (b) took so long to get over.
You think all is well, then next day, it gets you again. I have had 3 good days in a row so I hope I am on the mend.
Fingers crossed.

Could I ask for everyone's indulgence? This is for my friend, Kath, not myself - this is her tragedy, not mine. Her darling son, in his mid-20's succumbed late last week to Leukemia, after a long battle and after enduring every possible treatment. I can't get her out of my mind. I can only imagine the pain she is going through and will face always - no mother should ever have to outlive her own child. Please spare a thought or a prayer for her as she faces saying the final goodbye to him on Wednesday. Thank-you. ♥
I was not going to mention this even here on SA because I felt it was far too personal but I do believe in the power of thought and prayer and I know you wonderful people here will send her positive, healing thoughts.

Loving thoughts to your Friend Kath.
Some years ago I had a friend who lost her 16 year old daughter to leukemia and I understand what a terrible disease it is. I hope Kath has lots of support at this time.

Heartbreaking.
I am also sending loving thoughts to your friend Kath.
You are right, no parent wants a child of theirs to go before them.

Suzy, to allay your fears that I had a laptop with me while sunbathing in Swanage yesterday, I was using my Iphone to post on FB, but I can also post on here too whilst I'm away. It's great to be able to keep in touch without having to carry a laptop around (even though mine is a small notebook and fits into my handbag)

Brenda,
I must have flipped through the posts too quickly and missed the fact that you are in Swanage. Love the place and we have very good friends that live there so have been there many times. "If you can see the Isle of Wight it is about to rain. If you cannot see the Isle of Wight it is raining" I think the saying goes. It is very spectacular when you do see it from Swanage. I am envious as I would love to be there now. I know where there is a place you can buy the most wonderful potted crabs.

Well Ken came home tonight and he had won a night for two in a top Hotel in the central coast(Crowne Plaza Terrigal). One of the raffle prizes from our bowling weekend. I did not win anything but I will not complain. We have 12 months to take up the prize. I am looking forward to it when the weather is warmer.

Well done to Ken for that win. Hope you enjoy the break whenever you take it.
Richard's father's family came from Swanage so he spent a lot of time down there when he was young. I have only been twice and both times we could see the Isle of Wight but it didn't rain.
I'm going to put a couple of photos on my page when I gett them shrunk a bit

Good Morning Sudokuland!

We might be finished with our rain for a bit, and warmer temps will return. Oh well, it is August and we have had a much cooler than usual July, so I cannot complain , much hehehe.

Gail, I agree, relaxing Broni.
Cyn, thughts and prayers for your friend. I imagine she will have lots of support these next days, just remember her as the days go into weeks and months, she will need you then. Later, an offer to talk with her about her son whenever she wants might be good, cause many people just think one should " just get on with life".

JUNE congrats on your hubby's win, enjoy the holiday when you take it.

Brenda, I cannot imagine being able to post from your phone! I have a phone that just lets me make calls and it only works when I am away from home! No reception here in the rural Alabama.

Busy morning already, I have taken care of some things, more ffuts to go. It might be a good day to hang out hsaw so I best get to feeding the machine.

Hi, Friends! I just have a few minutes to scan through posts & say a few words. Sending positive thoughts to all!

June, congrats on the win at bowls and the WIN in the raffle. Enjoy that special night get-away when you can schedule it!

CynB, sending LOADS of positive thoughts & prayers for your friend Kath! I like MizT's advice to keep remembering her in the weeks & months to come. I also hope both you and hubby can put the flu symptoms well behind you and feel yourselves again soon.

Heidi, I hope you get over your flu soon, as well! Does that mean you will postpone selling the sheep until you feel better?

Tami, I hope your hair remained sleek & smooth for your debut as Demi Moore!

MizT, hope your back is not bothering you too much!

Hello to all whose name I didn't mention! I hope to be back later.

Cyn, I am happy that you are feeling better. I will definitely keep Kath in my thoughts. I have a friend who's 15 year old daughter is battling leukemia. I hope your friend can find strength in knowing that a lot of people do care.
June, enjoy your weekend away. What a great prize.

Thank you for those who asked. My hair stayed straight. I brought my flat iron with me and another counselor touched it up in the morning for me. We were having an end-of-camp talent show that was set up like an awards ceremony. The 2 camp directors won both awards. The counselors dressed as celebrities. I was not going to dress up but I heard that one of the counselors was going as Ashton Kutcher. I asked him if he wanted me to dress as Demi Moore. He thought it was a great idea. "Ashton" broke his hand this weekend and did not come in today. Luckily I found another boy to replace him. It was actually fun walking the red carpet and waving at my fans. I had fun being a cougar, if only for the day. I will post pictures of my straight hair and of me with "Ashton."

Cyn, so sorry to hear about your friend's son. Sending piles of thoughts and wishes to her.
MizT, sorry to hear you needed your meds today, but at least it was for a good reason.
Julie, be well!
June, congratulations on your bowling and raffle wins. What a great prize! I won a prize in a raffle this weekend too - a mug of chocolates....
Brenda, we are thinking of buying one of those tiny laptops for Ebob as she goes into her senior years. I will have to start investigating them. Do you find yours good for things other than the internet?
Nola, that is scary stuff for Renae. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the parents or grandparents was trying to get the baby back. Sending any thoughts left over from Cyn's friend to Renae...
Tami, wishes for your friend also. I'm glad your hair stayed straight! Off to see if you've posted your pics yet...

Suzy, I use my laptop for everything, but I have external drives as the netbook doesn't have a disk drive. There is a video web camera, speaker and mic built in. Also has a SDcard reader so that I can download photos directly from the camera card.

Brenda, would a thumb drive work instead of an external hard drive for most things? We have an external hard drive, but I'm thinking that it would be a hassle for Ebob to carry it to school. Where do you have your software loaded? On the external or on the netbook?

So many questions!!!! Sorry!!!!
