Yippee I have caught up on reading, trouble is crafts is lurking.
Sorry to hear you had lost you newest finch Heidi.
June sorry you lost your last bowls match and look after that hair of yours!
Suzy I have fairly straight hair so don't bother with straightening it.. lazy that's me I do very little to my hair.
Broni hope you feel better soon, but trying to do that puzzle when not feeling well deserves a medal.
Bean, Gail etc gardening and spending money goes hand in hand gardens are not cheap to do up.
Mizt and anyone else under the weather hope you feel better soon.
Well I remembered more than I thought I would but not everything.
Will bid you goodbye for now.

Today is
day. I have sut the side yard, came in to get something to drink and decided I needed to cool down some. It is hot and sticky, but I am trying to cut between rains. It rained all day Sunday and was damp some of Monday too.
I have not caught up on reding, it was either post without reading all or read all and not post. I have 4 minutes on my timer. I find that a 15 minute break is usually enough to keep the back happy. who knew riding the lawn mower could make it complain?
Heidi, sorry about your little boy finch, he was new? how long had you had him? And do birds come with any guarantee? I know they are expensive to buy. Feel better soon, hope you can get over that cough.
Tami, glad you are home and are you sure your Mom really loves the dog?
Suzy, hope hubby will recognize you when he comes in this time hehehe.
OK, that was the timer, I will try to check back later, hugs to all.

Morning all!
My cure for wanting the expensive frames is to not look at them. I go straight to the cheap frame section and try to find something not too awful. If I looked at the expensive ones I'd probably choose to just do without!
Vici, fires are terrible. They take everything. The worst is the lives they take. We will be evacuating if it's necessary - no heroics here.

Brenda, I have had basically the same hairstyle, just varying lengths for my entire life. It doesn't matter how it is cut, it looks just the same as it did before.
MizT, I hope you hear something soon! About the epidural I mean.
Now I have to go back to read what I missed. I forgot when I posted that it would turn the page. Doh!

Stella, I want to know where you get your energy and motivation from. You never stop!
June, yikes! I hope your guests are pleasant and accomodating. I know that probably won't be true of the younguns, but I can always hope!
Bifocals - yuck! I have trifocals. I call them my walk around glasses. I can walk around with them on and still read if I have to. They are no good for reading books though (for me) because I just can't get used to moving my head instead of my eyes and the sides are all blurry. I bought a super cheap pair for reading ($59).

Hi to Brenda and Suzy if you are still here.
Sending my sympathy to the fire victims.
While at Motor registry the other day,I mentioned to Greg that I found it hard to read the eye chart's 2nd line.He told me I had to read the 2nd line from the bottom not the top.Gee,I will have to get glass's for distance now,not just for close up.

I LOVE this Hydrocodone syrup!!! I don't feel the urge to cough, and I'm getting a LOT of sleep.
MizT... I only had that finch for 10 days.
He started acting ill about 6 days after I got him, which means that he probably caught whatever he had before he came here. These little birds are so fragile that nobody can or will guarantee them. You pay your money and you take your chances.
The babies are so much fun to watch. They have conned most of the others into feeding them. Every time any bird goes to a feeder, they are swarmed by babies begging. I was watching a 5 month old female stuffing them full of food earlier today.

I'm getting impatient to see their adult colors. The parents of one brood are red heads
, and I only expected the same from them. But one of their babies looks like it MIGHT be a BLUE!!
The parents of the other brood are a yellow headed male
and a blue female
. I was hoping for blue babies from them, but there are none. Their babies should be yellow headed
, and maybe a red head or 2.

The finches sound amazing, Heidi. I am sorry that you lost one. I have read but do not remember what I have read. My weekend is catching up and I am going to be going to sleep early. Hope all is well with everyone. I might be back, we'll see if I can stay awake.

Morning lovely SA8 people.
Heidi - I love the different finch smilies. You've got me into them and now when I have my grandies with me, we always go down to the pet shop to admire the colour of the finches there - as well as the other birds. Emily in particular loves them.
Nola - glad Greg is feeling better.
You too Broni.
Hi to everyone else.
Noisy here, the man is in the roof installing insulation and is just over my head - I hope he doesn't fall through!!

Morning folks...
I don't always comment on what I read but I really enjoy reading everybody's comments.. I ooh and ahh and feel exhausted when I look at Stella's schedule...emphasise with all the other sufferers with back problems... [and hips], giggle at Suzi's and Judy's comments, wonder how come IH is still standing, feel so grateful when Julie posts a summery, wish that Gail would cook for me... LOVE Tricia's dyslexic spelling... just like me...and so the list goes on.
I would never try to list you all by name lest I offend someone that I hold dear...you can settle down now Rola...and Broni, 'n Nola, 'n Brenda, n'Cyn and I'm going to stop now before I offend Tami, Suzanne, Bobbi, Mama, Steve, Kate....
Can I say last but definitely NOT LEAST my wonderful guest to be...VICI...D2...I am D1... thank you Heidi for renaming us the DEMENTED DUO...I think it will stick!

Well the insulation man has dislodged one of the air-con ducts over the kitchen. Did not break the ceiling though, he'll just have to clip it back in place. Scared me though, I was just near it when it happened - the sky is falling, the sky is falling!!

TTFN - off to visit my Mum. Insulation not finished - has to come back tomorrow with a helper because there's too much stuff in the ceiling from the ducted A/C and he needs help to move it - more disruption!

HI all
Have just caught up on all the reading, now lets see what I can remember
Vici - I was getting the same messages and I think Tricia was as well"is this you" and then some http addy with my email at the end, my Kaspersky kicked in and told me to turn my computer off, it was fine the next day.
Suzanne - Allergies can be awful, I hope you and Darrell feel better soon
Heidi - sorry you lost the Finch
All the talk about pillows being pinched, well you can be single and have the same problem, my darling Gizmo has claimed my spare one.
Tricia - Its easy to talk to yourself, well I dont have any problems, fun too at times haha
Rolanda and Bean - I have had to let my $1800.00 annual private health cost go, but as I am on a dissability pension my costs are not that bad, I just have to play that waiting game all the time.
Now did I forget anything -- no idea -- hope you all have a great day/night
