Good morning all! Last day of the long weekend! Happy Labor Day! Happy belated Father's Day down under!
Stiff this morning, but I want to get out and finish the bottom half of the back of the house.
Broni, congrats on the new grandie on the way! Blessings to all!
Viv, I hope you're feeling better. Please take care of yourself!
Brenda, woohoo, you're going to Florida! How exciting! Maybe you can visit Disney if you're not too far away! I'd love to go back there again.
MizT, glad the meds are helping you sleep, sorry they make you loopy. Hopefully, the problem will straighten itself out and the meds won't be needed.
Can't remember what else.

Running on empty here! Getting some breakfast and then heading out to paint. This afternoon, heading to Albany to check out a used flute for Ian and then Ian has soccer practice.(I can't believe they have practice on a holiday!)
Have a great day everyone!

Viv, Vici and Heidi, hope all of you are feeling better soon.
Suzy, hope Ally is feeling well, also.
Stella, Brenda will be about 3.5 hours away from Disney World. She is staying east of me about 20 minutes away depending on traffic. To get to her is all city streets, no highway. I don't know exactly where she is staying, just the city. It is not that big of an area. Mom and I are planning on trying to meet up with her at some point, probably bring the beastie's also.

Stella, the last place I would ever visit is a theme park. I do not like the big rides there, so paying the high prices just to walk around them doesn't appeal to me at all. I'm sure we will find lots of good places to visit.

Good Morning one and all.
I have been trying to keep up with the posts but have not had time to comment.
Brenda, wonderful news about going to Florida and catching up with Tami.
Viv, nice to see you posting again but so sorry to hear you have been so sick. Hopefully you will soon be completely recovered.
MizT, hope you get the epidural done soon and you are back to being your wonderful self again.

Suzy, bummer about the car. How frustrating to be without a car!
Broni. how wonderful to have another Grandie on the way. I do find knitted garments are not very popular with young Mums as they cannot throw them in the washing machine!
Brenda, How much of the house is still left to paint? I hope you are getting some help and not having to do the who;e lot yourself.
Have a safe trip to Adelaide Gail. And I am sure Bean will miss having a fun but busy Thursday.
Heidi, hope you are feeling better. How come we seem to spread our germs across the cyberspace as I had porcelain worship over a week ago!Sorry to have sent it your way.
Suzanne I hope the allergies are getting better.
Ans a special HI to everyone I have not mentioned.

This IS an interesting phenomenon. We do seem to spread our bugs across cyberspace. It's a generous thought, but maybe we should stop so much sharing!

Morning all!
June, great to see you here. MIL must be keeping you busy.
Bean, I wish my growling did scare you because then you might stop playing those gigantic words!
Ally was so worried about hubby last night she wanted to come with me to pick him up. She called at least 3 times while I was getting him. I haven't heard her coughing overnight so I'm not sure if she will be going to school today or not.
It looks like hubby might have pulled a muscle in his left shoulder, but other than that appears unscathed. I'll know better when he gets up later.

Hi Nola, off to work early again?
Suzy, I was hoping it was just a breakdown with the car. What happened that Hubby is hurt?
Having MIL means I cannot spend as much time here. It also means I clean up after myself and the house is tidier. Today is bowls and trading table so yesterday (as well as taking Laura swimming because Sharon had to go into school)I made cakes and lemon Butter for the trading table. I have also been working on the other old set of drawers. I can do that and keep MIL company at the same time.

House guests are fun but time consuming June. Hubby is fine, but the car isn't. He drove a concrete barrier for about 15 metres. Rain and road works are not a good mix...

Suzy, sorry to hear about the car. I am glad hubby is fine and hope Ally is feeling better. I found a website www.geni.com that allows you to build your family tree online. I stumbled accross it a few weeks ago. Long story short, I found relatives of hubby's in Israel who have a son the same age as Mitchell. The two have started an email friendship. I would love to visit Israel someday and will now have some distant cousins to visit.

I think I missed something. Who, or what, is Lantra?
On a happy note... Some more Gouldian finch babies hatched out today!!!
I don't know how many, because I didn't want to disturb them too much... but the parents were sitting on 9 eggs! I'll be happy if 3 hatched out.
Both parents are red headed normals (wild color)
, but both should carry the gene for the blue mutation.
I know the female does for sure, and I believe the male does. So I might end up with a blue baby out of this.

Hi everyone, hubby and I hurt! But the backyard is starting to come together. All the edging is in, and the paths have been raked. All we need to do now is rake the beds and top them with mulch...but I couldn't do another thing tonight!

Hi everyone.
Suzy..when you said you had to pick Hubby up,I thought he had broken down, not a car accident.Gee I hope he doesn't have too many bruises or other damage to himself!!
Gail...have a nice hot shower or bath to ease the aches and pains.Hope your efforts looks great.
Heidi...would 9 babies hatch? How on earth would they feed them all?Would they have that many in the wild?
June..yes,I have 1 more early! The skies opened up this morning and we had 40ml of rain in 5 hours.I was a little concerned driving with the sky lit up with lightning and loud thunder, but I made it un-scathed to work.

Evening all!
Home with the hire car. It's a new experience for me to drive a 6 cyl auto!
Lantra is the old car - it's a probably right off, though it's off for a second opinion now.
I was right by the way, hubby is sore all down his left side. The insurance company asked him how long he's been rally driving as he was on 2 wheels for a while.

Suzy, sounds as if hubby's accident could have been a lot worse.
Broni, I like the way you spell Suzy's name, to my mind it sounds (reads) like a school nickname that has stayed with her, a one given by a close friend. My best friend used to call me adnerb!!
