MizT, what good news that you have so many clothes you can no longer wear and many that need to be taken in! I hope you are not wasting away - but just making healthy adjustments! I was once told not to lose more than 2 pounds a week. (As if I could even manage that.)

Just back from Grocery Shopping, which needs putting away.
The Machine needs filling from the bottomless basket.
This afternoon, take Mum Grocery Shopping, when she rings me to let me know she is home from her Wednesday Club.

Afternoon all!
Would you believe I still haven't done any ffuts? I took Ally to a friends place and of course had to have a cup of coffee and a chat. Then it just made sense to pick up some food on the way home. Then there was a package in my mail box and phone calls and emails to be returned and a doctor's appointment to make. And of course the only time they can fit Ebob in during the entire school holidays is an hour from now....

We are having VERY high winds now - and forecast for most of the night. Unfortunately garbage and recycling are picked up very early tomorrow morning. I keep hearing things go "bump in the night" and wonder how much of my neighbors' garbage will be in my yard in the morning.

Julie, high winds and garbage do not mix! I hope your yard is not covered in rubbish tomorrow.

June, you have a houseful right now and it's only going to get fuller (I know it's not a word, but this is SA so I figured it was okay). I have been missing you on the pages.

I've just been able to get back onto the computer. One of Ebob's baseball games was delayed due to rain. Hubby filled in the time at a computer fair. He called me to tell me where he was and I suggested he pick himself out a birthday present. Apparently we are giving him the empty box on the day as he has been playing with it all evening. The good news is that he may be able to record some American footy to watch! He's very excited.

So what did hubby pick out for himself?
If he was at a computer fair, I would expect a computer, but something which he can record American football on sounds more like a video/dvd recorder.

I've just had a lightbulb moment! He could download onto a computer, but couldn't he do that before on the computer you already have... I'm puzzled and maybe a bit dense today.

Hi everyone, bit slow to post today. Beanie and I went hardware shopping...we are women, hear us roar, we can do anything... bought a few things we needed for a couple of the jobs around the place. One we achieved (with a little [lot] of help from a couple of blokes, but don't tell them we needed them!). I will let Bean tell you that news, she was fit to be tied about it too! The other is for another job that good, hard procrastinating wont hurt!!!

Hello Dear Ones!
to Suzanne, Rola's lil bro and Brenda's friend's sister's baby boy!
Still lots of owies here...what's the prognosis on Ebob's arm, Suzy?
MzT - congrats on the weight loss and the daily walks. Recovery is truly "baby steps". Sorry to hear your hip is hurting now, though.
I must say - your arms shrinking is very bizarre! What is up with that? Seems very "Twilight Zone"ish!

Julie - hope those winds didn't pull up the loosely tacked down deck boards! Nice that you will have the deck and railing in before winter sets in.
Looks like we are going to hold off moving back into the addition until I return from Oz. With the solar panels arriving yesterday, all focus is on getting those up and in before we have more winter weather. It's amazing how many little things need to be finished before moving in makes sense. I guess it will be something for me to look forward to upon my return from my trip down-under. Good thing, as I'll probably be fighting a bit of depression at that point!

Can't wait to hear about your tool time day, Gail. I'm thinking part of the activities must have been around getting those tanks secured. Am I right?
Hahahahahaha! I just started to right something that can be taken completely out of context! I erased it out of embarassment, but think I'll post it anyway. I wrote, "I just love when I can do something with a man's tool"

Good Maen Everyone! Thank you for the birthday wishes! Rolanda: Happy Birthday to your brother too! It is so cool to share a birthday with someone. I shared my birthday with a lady named Marcia that I worked with at Prudential Real Estate.
Julie: The couch was NOT a present. We ordered it two weeks ago, it just happened that delivery was this week. I will try to post pictures soon. It IS very pretty. I bought pillows at Wal-Mart before we picked it out and they match perfectly! How did I know??
Well, since TTT told how old I am, it's my turn! She just turned 45!!!

You of course guessed right... a couple of very important jobs attended to today... I now have a tank plumbed in collect water from the back half of the pitched roof... belief it or not I somehow forgot to buy the necessary connection for the bottom of the tank to keep the water in... of tomorrow to buy a stopccok & tap!

We also bought a plug to sort out one of the leaking toilets... yay...we are once again a two toilet family... even if you have to turn on the tap to fill the cistern after flushing... will replace it next time we have a plumber working on the site..

Good Morning Sudokuland. I am up and about this morning. We have scattered rain showers today, I am not wanitng more rian.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Suzanne, hope you have a great day today!

Rolanda, I will drop in and take your Mum grocery shopping for you! I wish!

Vici, how long till you leave for Oz? Perhaps Mike should have you all moved into your new addition when you return?

LIZ, too funy, I am glad you went back and put in your funny comment, gave me a good chuckle hehehe

I did not get much sewing done yesterday, I was working on black items and I just cannot see sewing on black, no matter how many lights are put on the subject. I did get one shirt and one pants altered.

No I am not wasting away or loosing too fast. I have been at this for 12 weeks now. It is for control of blood sugar and to get PB and cholesterol down. Loosing weight is just a very nice bonus! The reason so many clothes to alter is I am bringing out my fall winter things, beginning to need those. I think the sleeve thing is, I have lost in the arms, they are not taking up as much room in the sleeve, so they are able to droop now and seem longer.

I best get something done today, hugs to everyone.

Morning all!
Vici, I'm still smiling after reading your posts - shrinking arms and tools....

Brenda, there is a new digital TV station that is all sport, only we can't get it on our old TV, even with the digital box thingy. The gadget hubby bought lets him watch digital TV through the computer and he can get the sport channel - gridiron at 5pm tonight!
