Good evening all. I wish I was with Vici and heading down under. I will have to stay here. At least I will get to meet Brenda in a week. As it happens, Debby will be in Florida the same time and is coming to lunch with her hubby. With the beasties and my parents, it will be 10 of us.

There are only 15 more posts to go until we tie the record of SA 7. I may just have to do a cp and talk to myself and take the honor. That would mean I may have to topp and I don't have one yet on SA 8. I will consider the sacrifice.

Afternoon all!
Taking a coffee break before I put away the groceries and I see that I've missed you all again. Sigh.

The blasted lawn mower has planted herself to stare me down. No matter how much she stares I am NOT letting her at my apple trees!

All of these get togethers are so exciting! I can hardly wait.

I met 4 friends from high school this morning for breakfast. We try to make it once a month - and have a fifth who can only make it occasionally. From breakfast, I went to donate my second pint of blood for my surgery. They're not sure they'll need it, but require 2 pints to be on hand. After lunch, hubby & I went to get our "regular" flu shots, as we found a location that had some vaccine. (There isn't any H1N1 flu vaccine in our immediate area.) At 5:30, I had water aerobics, then went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription, followed by grocery shopping. I was home by 8:30, had dinner, watched 1 TV program with hubby, and here I am. Surgery is in 2 weeks. (Sorry, that took up more space than I'd intended.)

Suzy, I'm so glad your second apple tree is now blossoming. Good luck! Interesting spider story - ewww!

Rolanda, I can totally understand how you might forget a hair appointment, as well as your son's Wednesday destination! I didn't even know it was Wednesday. BTW, I like your haircut! You and Suzy are both looking quite fab with your new cuts!

Nola, I'm glad you and your sister were able to get out to see My Sister's Keeper! Do you recommend it? I see both Rolanda and Brenda have read the book.

Suzy I was able to go back to bed and get some more sleep.
Heidi it is about a 14 hour flight from SF to Melbourne. Then you add travel to and the two hours at the airport, 1/2+ hour through customs and another 1/2+ to Bean's place. Pleased the visit from Debbie went well.
I have started cleaning and buying things getting ready for the BBQ. I want to be organised as Ken will be away then. I thought I had three weeks but just realised it is just over two!!!!

good maeN everyone! Nearly 11 p.m. here, very tired! Had a GREAT day with my friend Janet! My friend Debbie has rescheduled with me for next week, she got a speeding ticket in a school zone last week, had to go to court.
Janet & I went to a store called Tai-Pan Trading (like Pier 1 Imports on steroids!!!) I spent $50 on stuff for Halloween!! Cool Place, I want Darrell to go with me next time. I think he'll like it. There is another store chain here (The Quilted Bear) which we've been to and they have kind of the same type of stuff. Going to Layton (near Hill AFB here) tomorrow. Signing off for tonite, tired & going to sleep. TTFN everyone!
