I always felt a connection to 'Ruby' as that was my mother's name. I cannot remember if Ruby had any family?

I have just sent a bouquet of flowers (Heartfelt Condolences Funeral Bouquet) to the Kiser Funeral Home in the name of her friends in Sudokuoholics Anonymous. That should confuse a few people.

I haven't been reading for a while - what sad news to find here. I don't think I knew Ruby, but 59 sounds quite young to me.

I am online entering in some Avon orders but my mind keeps wandering back to the news that we have lost Ruby. She recently lost her crossword/coffee buddy too. So so sad.

Yep very slow site tonight,
another passing to another plane, we all have our expectations of what is to come but we must remember to celebrate the life that she lived. Without that we would have missed something important in our lives.

I have only just got on line and read the sad news of Ruby. I feel as stunned as when Lynda passed away. Thank you Heidi for sending the flowers, what a lovely thought. Her real-world friends will know that she'll be missed here.

Ruby was far too young to leave us so suddenly. We need to remember that our existence can never be a given to be taken for granted...do as I do...live each day as if it is your last...one day you will most certainly be right.
When we turn the final page no one wastes too much time regretting what they have done....they lament the experiences that they have missed or postponed for a day was never to come...
The 'boxes' can wait another day...telling all of my friends here in SA that I care about you all can't.
As we adjust to the shock that this news about Ruby brings please everybody remember that this holiday season is one of the most dangerous times of the year.
OK...I will climb down from my soap box now....

HI BEAN, I was checking to see if I could verify what "friendly" had posted about Ruby. I see some messages, has anyone as yet verified this? I just sent e-mail to the funeral home listed, to see what they will say. It is not yet 9 am in SC, so I am not sure anyone will get e-mail yet.

SUZY, I had not seen your notice from the newspaper. I had tried newspapers and had not found that one. The funeral home should have electronic condolences, I found for others, but not for her. I hope they will open one for her and when they do I shall send a link here so we can meave messages there.
thank you Heidi for sending the flowers, and thank you Suzy for finding the obit I could not find.
Now I must get ready for doctors appointment. It will be afternoon fore I get back and see if the funeral home does answer my e-mail!
I am in shock, that Ruby has left us. She will be missed!

Suzy, Aboutthe notice in the newspaper, "friendly's" information said Ruby was found Dec 11, so it is possible they determined she had died on Dec 10th. That information in the obituary could very well be correct. Again, newspapers are notorious for getting little details wrong, so not sure which date is correct.

Thank you Beanie for your sweet soap box sentiments. Boy, if we didn't think of our SA buddy system before, we sure will now.
I do have most of your snail mail addresses. Mike has instructions to contact someone here if anything happens to me - but I'm thinking of making a note in our living trust document.

Suzy.... Thank you. I couldn't find it anywhere. The facts were close enough. I keep thinking of Ruby being all alone and pray that she didn't suffer. I still don't believe this.
The flowers should be there any minute, if they haven't already been delivered. Yes, "friendly" will know who they're from. So will Ruby. That was the important part to me. That we got to say "Good Bye".

Nobody has been here in a long time. I think we need to celebrate Ruby's life, instead of mourning so much. We were all fortunate to have known her. I love all her blonde jokes on her page.

Hello, all! First, a huge thank you to Heidi for sending flowers from all of us! After I learned of Ruby's passing VERY early this morning, I found and submitted some angel avatars, which Gath promptly approved. (Thanks, Gath!) Here is a Christmas angel for Ruby, one of the newest angels. Ruby, we will miss your wit and wisdom and compassion! RIP

I have just spoken to a woman at the Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC. She confirmed that there is a service for Mary Anne Edwards this afternoon and that they had received the flowers sent by Heidi. I just told the woman that Ruby had friends from around the world who will be thinking of her but unable to attend the service.

A sobering time for us as we rember that we are all mortal, but yes life does go on.
This morning I am going into the city to catch up with some friends from the country who are going on a cruise over Christmas. Looks like a nice day. May be tempted to take a boat ride on the Harbour that would be very relaxing.
