Hello Bean! :) I've never made a Christmas pudding - most of my family don't like it much, so Rob always buys a "charity" one. (One less thing to worry about at Christmas!)

Confident, hope you could figure it out!

Today has been a no day here, just needed to recharge the batteries I suppose. It had been a busy week for me, with Joy here and unusual schedule, and all the cooking for them and then for the party. Thankfully we brought home leftovers, enough for dinner tonight, I get turkey and dressing again, yummy! I do need to go and buy a turkey, just because we like turkey and they are on sale now. Not as low price as last year, but then nothing is this year!

My sister kept telling me she did not like pumpkin pie, but I made one anyway and carried it. she took a taste and asked if she could take part of it for later. only one serving carb, for those of us who have to count carbs with our blood sugar. Even using sugar free fruit, a fruit pie has 3 carbs ( one for bottom crust, one for top and one for fruit) making it a high carb dessert, you would need to eat only free veggies with the meal or have a carb overload! Can work in the pumpkin pie much easier and she decided she really liked it hehehe. should I be nice and send her the recipe?

HI BEAN and SUZY and June and Judy! Lots of people here, and i thought I was alone hehe.

I once read a recipe on making a Christmas pudding, does that count for much?

BEAN hope your Christmas Smilies come soon.

June...try and double your break...you've earnt it
Judy...I'm not a big fan of bought puds...I try out something different each year. It is a lot of fun...I have recipes that are microwave jobs, no sugar, fat free...all sorts of things...still searching for the one that is not too rich, sweet or sickening...one that is just right!!

BEAN, I "forgot" my meter when I went to sister's so I did not have to do blood sugar readings after that meal! I know it was high, I did eat desert, and not sugar free. It is just not Christmas without fudge( 2 small pieces) and chocolate chip cookies ( has 2 of those also)! I did not try the chocolate cake , left that alone totally! Sugar cookies and rice crispy treats and other stuff did not tempt me.

I've only had bought puds..... cover them with enough brandied hard sauce and they're pretty good. Of course cardboard would taste pretty good with enough brandied hard sauce.

Gail - can we come to your place for Christmas! ;) Death by Chocolate sounds divine for dessert!
We'll be doing the turkey thing; my sister's bringing the ham; there will be more desserts than you can shake a stick at - and we will all feel sick as dogs by evening: that's Christmas!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the lolly thing! Usually, I buy those bags of Chroissy lollies that no-one actually likes. This year, hubby put his foot down eith a firm hand!
We bought bags of jubes, sour worms, bullets, chicos and many M&M's, they will all go into a bowl and be consumed, at will, through the day, starting at pressie opening o'clock.
