It is pretty quiet around here..
I'm sitting watching Carols by Candlelight at the Myer Music Bowl here in Melbourne. Beautiful balmy night for it...
Have my evening all mapped out...have to stay awake until the pudding is cooked ... do some cards, wrap some presents, clean up the dreadful mess I have made in the kitchen...I'll be here to chat to the topsiders...I might even catch Santa doing his rounds...then I'll sleep in.....told Pete NOT to wake me before 10am...

Has anybody seen the Get Smart Special Edition DVD...it is boxed in a shoe phone....Lachie's brainstorm at the moment is to wrap it in a shoe box with another shoe....hmm...gotta wonder where he got that bent sense of humour from!! Pete will well and truly get the joke!

Topsiders! It's Christmas Eve!!!!
I had to get up early. IH promised to sell 4 lambs to some Muslim friends of his, and he didn't have them. So I have to catch 4 of mine in a few minutes. In the mud and rain.
At least it's warmed up here.... 48 F, and rising.

Merry Christmas everybody!
Ho Ho Ho and all that jazz.
Going to spend my Christmas eve baking a layered cookie (bottom is vanilla wafers crushed and flattened down in butter in a lipped cookie sheet - then you layer coconut, semi-sweet chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, rolled oats and crushed peacans...drizzle with sweet condensed milk and bake)
YUMMMMM!

I am also trying my first attempt at biscotti - dipping it in chocolate, too.
We having Dungenous crab with sourdough for dinner. The only thing missing is the snow - it's raining on my snow outside!

Vici, sounds good. Send some biscotti this way. I love biscotti dipped in my morning coffee. Hubby and S1 went for a ride to visit a friend. Mommy is home with S2, who is still sick. He is getting better but I don't want to let him run around. We have a busy weekend and I need him better.

OH VICI, your cookies sound so sinful, but I wish I had just ONE of them! I should make cookies today, we shall see what today brings.
It is warmer as promised, but cloudy and yucky looking. Windy too. My kitties come inside them want back out, only to turn around when the wind hits their nose. I think they want me or Al to turn off the wind hehe.

Horses and cows are fed..... I love my
..... enclosed cab....windshield wipers.... heat. The rain was and is coming down in buckets, but I stayed comfy.... until I had to get out to open gates. Then come in the house. This is one of the heaviest rains I've ever seen. I can only imagine the disaster if this was snow. 1 inch of rain = 10 inches of snow.

merry christmas and happy holidays everyone!! i am have such a great time with my huge family that i just can't get to the pooter! we get throught the passed just fine. i am greatful as the snow has been incredible!!! there is over foot of snow on the ground here. this is a place that does not have more than a dozen snow plows for the whole seattle area. the roads are closed with packed icy snow on them. many of the packages i had shipped are sitting in a wharehouse because the conditions are so bad. we have been enjoying it tons though. we have the scandinavian kick sleds, and have been going out on those and having a blast. after living in seattle for 23 years, this it the first time we have been able to use them! right now the turkey is in the oven and the music is starting. i have been thinking of you all.

Here is a Christmas wish for all my sudoku friends. Since I don't sing very well, you will have to sing it for yourself.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on our troubles will be out of sight
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the yuletide gay
From now on our troubles will be miles away
Once again as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more
Through the years we all will be together
If the fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

I have another wish for all my sudoku friends. One of my favorite songs is "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music. But, I need to add all my friends here to the list of favorite things.
My Favorite Things
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleighbells
And schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winter that melts into spring
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel...so bad
