Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas, where ever you are.

Oh, yeah..... just peachy.
After that nightmare having the basement waterproofed, 3 days of jackhammers in the house and $9,000.00 spent, the basement is flooding again. I have a call in to the company that guaranteed the job for the life of the house, and they promised to get back to me in half an hour. That was an hour ago. I'm having a WONDERFUL Christmas Eve.

Heidi - how AWFUL! I hope that company gets back to you soon and comes out to at least get you a temporary fix...but even if they do, I think you are in for more workers and work in your future. So sorry you had this come down on you right at the beginning of the holiday.

My biscuits (first stab at biscotti) are in the oven right now. Keeping my fingers crossed that they come out OK.

I do love that song...now it's playing in my head...of course with a very lovely choir singing it!

The biscotti is out of the oven and cooling - will dip them in chocolate after I post this. Did have a little nibble and they are delish! I added some finely chopped pecans to the recipe...thought it went nice with the coconut and chocolate.

Hey - where did everyone go??? I thought we were meeting under the tree to sing. You don't want to hear me - yikes! I mostly just lip-sync along.

Pavlova is in the oven.

Morning everyone! I hope your christmas morning has been wonderful and that santa was good to you...

My mother has given my girls new mobile phones for christmas....grrrr....now I get to activate phones on xmas day!

I have a new nutcracker! This one has a music box that plays....you guessed it.... the nutcracker suite!

The turkey is cooking - it's very cool today so the hot oven is not a problem! - the girls are playing with their new toys (actually I think Ebob is actually reading her new book), hubby is playing with the lap top, I am listening to the nutcracker suite while I read about your morning doings! Yay!

Heidi, I hope christmas day is better to you than christmas eve!

Gail I am very glad you are having such a merry time...I'm not awake enuff yet...will be right after I have finished my coffee and have my first glass of fizz!! Pete has the turkey and veges under control...[cooking it at his mums - she is past traveling much] and the has been bubbling since 9.30...I went back to bed and read after putting that on...such bliss...

June I forgot the maccadamia's...was so cross..stood in front of the fruit and nuts selecting my favourites and knew I was missing something...just couldn't remember what it was!! Next year...

to Kate's Carol in Dubai! You had the gift of a wonderful child on Christmas day just like our Susan! So did you name her Carol for the holiday? She is a Christmas Carol!

hehe...have just had the cook on the phone...he was suitably impressed..NOT..with the amount of time it took to peel all the veges...know that feeling, don't we girls...HO HO HO...and I am too far away to offer to help...I am going to do the gravy tho when I get there..Lachie is still asleep and still have presents to wrap [2] AND... believe it or not...I got my tree up and decorated...WONDERS WILL NEVER CEASE...

P has done me proud...all these years of roasts and he has done a mountain of veges...roast potatoe, pumpkin, sweet potatoe, parsnip, carrot, onions & boiled peas...I've never been a meat and 3 veg type of girl...love my veges and I think 7 different veges will keep me happy...Pete wasn't brought up this way...his mother will be impressed...
