Hi Broni! Glad somebody turned up - I was going a bit ga-ga here by myself!

They came to pick up Laura but she did not want to go home so she is still here..and asleep. She has a bit of a cough so hope she manages to sleep through the night!
Sharon still has a cold but the temperature is back to normal and she is feeling OK otherwise. Very different to the person who went to emergency a couple of days ago!

Just popped in to wish everyone a Got to work tomorrow but going away until Sunday, sure need the break, so won't be around on the day so Hope 2009 is all you want it to be - chat to you in the New Year

The new TV is now in operation and Hubby just has to make sure about setting the recorder so he can record the Edinborough Tattoo on Thursday night. I think we have every one recorded for at least 20 years. It is nice watching the bigger screen.

Good evening lovely SA7 people - gosh, it's hard at the moment to find much time for my fave pursuit (this page). New Year tomorrow - another party, more shopping, more guests - this time overnighters so they don't have to drink and drive. I love the company but hate the stress and preparation.

Hi June - glad to hear that Sharon is feeling better but ashamed to say that because I've hardly been here since Christmas I had no idea she been taken to emergency in the last few days. Enjoy the tattoo tomorrow night - that was the highlight of my Mum's television viewing for the year. She loved it and instilled it in us but I don't think I'll see it tomorrow - must remember to record it on IQ.

Our new TV is also in operation, June - Rob is watching Pink Floyd, rather loudly! ;)

The in-laws left this morning, now it's time to get the house back in order. Ian gets his foot rechecked today to see if he can get off the crutches. Have to get ready to leave shortly.

I'm thinking of going to visit my mom for New Year's. Hubby says he has to work (he took time off for his parents) so I'll be going with just some of the kids. Still trying to figure it out!

care to join me for coffee, tea, whatever is your pleasure? I have sunshine again today, YEAH, and since cat woke me early I decided to get a head start on my day. Have sorted laundry and fed the machine, repaired 2 pair of Al's jeans (the pockets are wearing out all at same time and need a reinforcing patch) One pair he tore when getting under house to do something to TV cables. I have filled ice trays that seem to multiply after dinner, and made my bed. now off to make a grocery list and get ready for a run up to Alabaster for my blood sugar supplies, get some of the chicken I bought yesterday in the oven to bake, and about a million other things all at once! It is a good thing I got an early start methinks!

One of the dogs (Cindy) decided to wake me this morning by jumping on the bed and smacking me in the mouth with her paw. I just had to re-glue the tooth back in. I hope the day improves.

Since this place is as quiet as a tomb, I'm gonna take a short nap, then go pull out fence posts. The neighbors with the horses that moved need them for their new home, and I can pull the posts easier than anyone else. I use the front end loader of the tractor and a chain.

HEIDI, I hope your weather is as pretty and warm and sunny today as ours is. I would even go out and pull up fence posts just to enjoy the sunshine. You would not need your heater in the tractor today, it is in the 60's here!

Now using your tractor and front end loader sounds like a very good way to pull fence posts. You are a very good neighbor to go help.

We have a couple of teenage guests starting around 10 this morning, they'll get picked up after 5 and we'll all head down after that to watch the fireworks at the race track. Home before 10 to watch fireworks on TV, throw confetti around per our annual tradition... sleep until tomorrow!!!

I think we will be having a quiet night at home tonight. We cannot see the fireworks at the Harbour from our place, just the noise and reflections in the sky. We can see a bit from the top of the next street but we will not be going into town. Will watch them on our new TV.

I see Broni got there before me. I let her know before I had to go eat my dinner which was served out while I messaged Broni. Ray is slowly recovering from his ordeal, but doesn't know when he will be able to get to his computer.

Sorry Brenda, stole your thunder again, but I was so happy could not help myself. Thank you once again for helping us.

It must be my night for getting news about friends. I have since had a phone call from a friends daughter letting me know that she has been in surgery today after being in and out of hospital numerous times this year.

Off to walk Bella, it is going to be a scorcher here today 34c (93f) eek!
