It's ok Heidi, you can come out now. I CP'd so that you wouldn't get an accidental TOPP.

It's out right now. Long story. I'm about to have pizza for supper, and I can't bite down when the tooth is attached, so I'm leaving it off until after I've eaten.

Broni, that's typical in South Florida in the summer. It is currently 68f (20c) where I am.

Pizza eaten..... tooth attached. It'll take 2 hours to set, though. But it looks and feels so much better.

Heidi, hope the pizza was tasty!
All the kids will be gone for New Year's Eve, so Rob and I will celebrate alone (sob!) - will probably watch the fireworks on TV, then go to bed. (I guess we're getting old.) Trying to decide if I should make another batch of shortbread for New Year - we don't actually seem to have many "goodies" left. Is that a good thing or a bad thing, I wonder?

It was yummy. Just a store-bought, but I added lots of mozzerella cheese.

I think the best way to start the new year is with a full night's sleep, and no hangover. That probably makes me an old fuddy-duddy.

Hiya Heidi! I've been laughing about you getting injured in your sleep. Not at you, but it is ironic....

You never said what IH thought of his laptop.

Judy, I was a bit sad because my eldest was planning on going to a party tonight rather than stay home with us, but then the party was cancelled so we are all together! Could be the last year though...

Broni, hope things are starting to cool down.

Tami, it was very thoughtful of you to save Heidi from a TOPP, though it is funny when she gets caught.

I know Suzy - they just keep growing up, don't they! I don't even know what my youngest is doing - pretty sure it won't be anything with us! Son has gone away with friends, two older daughters are going up the country with people from a club they're in ... Think I'll make one more batch of shortbread, and maybe something else yummy. Rob has bought a small rack of lamb - never cooked that before! We'll have our own little party. :)

Brenda, those temps sound toooooo cold to me - bad enough as overnight lows let alone highs! My kids liked your new years card too, watched it 3 times at least!!

Cyn, if I come to your party can I sleep on the roof? It sounds like the only place there would be room for me!

Judy, $4000 sounds like a LOT. We paid less than $1000. Maybe our tree was smaller though.

Jumping in here to wish everyone a very happy and safe holiday start...Mine is shaping up just wonderfully...My middle grandie is here with me during her school break...could hardly wait for me to get back from Fla....My first born grandie and my Earth Angel (Angelique) will be here on the 2nd...Angel's going to celebrate her first birthday with me, its on the 4th.....Life is grand!! Heard about Rayray's slow process towards recovery, and Gail's Mom being ok, Judy is out of the hospital..MizT is better...seems we just may have turned a corner and have started the year off in a good way....
May your year bring you peace when needed, smiles a plenty, rain is always sunshine to some...what ever is given will change it is true, but gratitude for all that we are given will be rewarded.
May GOD's Blessings be your always...Peace my wonderful SA7 sisters, daughters brothers and friends...I have been richly blessed in getting to know each and every one of you...Many thanks for all that you do here....

Susan, you're getting mighty cheeky there!
Suzy, you're welcome to join us for a bit of lamb, roast vegies, smoked salmon, fancy cheeses, followed by shortbread and homemade caramel - there's plenty for three! Better be quick though! ;)
My youngest just turned 22, not exactly a kid any more! She's planning on moving into a flat in a couple of weeks, and my son just told us he'll be looking for a share house in Feb. Then we'll have a five bedroom house for the two of us - that's going to be weird!

I am finally going down to see the other half of the family. Will leave here about mid-night after going next door for a few minutes for New Year.
It has been a scorcher here today 37c.Not often do we get temps that high along with terrible humidity.
At least driving at night should be cooler.
