Hi Tricia! How is your morning going?
What I'm digging is very boring - just needing to level out some areas around the addition that are pooling water. Need to get the proper slope going so the water will run away from the foundation.

Lovin' your quilted hearts, by the way - you've been displaying some very colorful avatars recently.

Coffee is on for any who needs a cup, and if you say PLEASE, the magic cyber pot will provide tea or hot chocolate. I have been lax in my duty to put on the coffee every morning, hope to do better.

I lost so many posts last night and had others show up after really long times, that I cannot keep up with which comments made it to the board! I sent wishes to all celebrating, I hope they arrived undamaged. If not, consider yourself wished upon! Sending some cold but festive magic fairie dust to all who are celebrating.

Feb first, but then someone put up a heart avatar and I followed suit!

Our coldest weather is due here tonight, tomorrow and tomorrow night. We are so far south, it is taking a while for the 'arctic air mass' to reach us. We have wind chill warnings, as tomorrow the wind will pick up making it feel degrees colder than the actual temps. I fear for my water pipes, and I hope there is not such an increase in power use that we overload the system and loose power. Al is to clean and check our kerosene heater today and be sure the stored fuel is OK, just in case. It is not a time to be without heat!

Phantom report: He spent a lot of yesterday in his favorite chair in the dome with AL. He seems improving except for one cut, above his eye. It is swollen and yesterday was oozing a bit, but did not look or smell infected.

His opponent was seen again this morning when I called Phantom to Breakfast. Opponent was at edge of house, waiting for P to come out from under there. I scared him away, and again, with backup, P took off after him. Well, some inviting noises of me shaking food in his bowl distracted P from the chase and he came to breakfast!

These silly boy cats, courting my girls who do not care a fig about them since both mine have been spayed. HOW do the boys even know they are girls??

CynB. It's hard to believe that it's a year since we shared that scrumptious cake at the Gold Coast. I hope that you have a perfect day.

Poor Phantom! I missed the post about the cat fight. The wars around here have more to do with territory than hormones. Panda doesn't understand property lines and thinks half of the neighbor's turf is her's. She seems to hold her own for a little thing.

I was tired and went to bed early. Hubby slept yesterday afternoon after the girls left....and came to bed late and put the radio on.........he says it puts him to sleep......but then it wakes me up..DUH!!!!

Indeed I am June! What a bummer about the radio - that's why Mike and I have our own bedrooms...that and his snoring!

well i tried once to get on yesterday and i gave up after a couple of tries. i hope today is better! i have missed june's and cynb's birthdays. i'm sure you got through the day without my well wished just fine though. even so i hope your day was grand!

i went jogging/walking yesterday. i used to run regularly, 30-40 miles per week. that was 8 years ago. i thought i would be able to at least be able to slow jog 5 or so miles. i do stairs and an eliptical trainer every once and again, and walk tulio a lot. hmmmm... not as fit as i thought. i started jogging, got 2 1/2 miles in then had to walk the last 3. my hips,knees ankles, shins and feet were in such pain last night! i was thinking that if i were in a forced march, some bad nazi would have to shoot me after 5 miles! that is sad!

mariana - congrats on starting up again...you'll be back to 5 or so very soon. Just takes our older bodies a bit longer to recoup

Now I'm off to the dreaded ffuts and then riding my bike to my Al-Anon meeting. Doing more dirt digging this afternoon.
