I caught up on the reading and forgot what I wanted to say. I am going to bed but I will catch up with everyone this weekend. I have a day to myself Saturday, hubby is working and kids are going to the circus with their aunt and uncle. I am going to do nothing all day. I am sure I will be on the pooter at some point. SUZY, WOW, that is a big drop in an hour, especially without a rain. I am glad it changed for you. ANY day over 100 is miserable and becomes very dangerous if you have above 90% humidity also. We have had many days like that in past Julys and Augusts.

CnyB, most workers these days love to just stand around and do nothing, especially if still on the clock! I admire your hubby wanting work to do while on the job.

Heidi, your pork chops do sound yummy. Well, the apple part anyway, I am not fond of bourbon. It tastes like dirt to me! I sometimes made chops with cabbage and apple that are yummy and next time I might add a bit of Canadian. I like that much better than bourbon!

Success at last! It had me worried because last year just as I finished thanking everyone for the birthday greetings the site crashed and was down for a week or more! I was hoping I had not jinxed the site again.

Good afternoon/evening, June and other DUGs!

We had a lovely lunch. Laura was a bit put out because she did not get her own lobster. Just bits from ours. She could not eat the half.
It has been 41*c here today so Sharon and Laura had a slepp when we got back here. We had all three aircons going.
They have all just gone home and the temp has dropped to 30*c. A bit of a storm around but does not seem like we will get any rain.

oh my. i'm getting all uncomfortable. reading about all this heat is making me forget that it is freezing here. i get a little surprise eveytime i walk out the door and see snow!
