HEIDI, the cows on the huge farm at the end of our street have already dropped a lot of calves. Many more cows walking around that will have theirs soon. I love seeing the new babies. Black Angus there. I have been meaning to snap a photo to show you, and when I remember to take the camera, they are too far away, or in other pastures. this place has over 2000 acres. I do keep watching MEAT, MEAT and MEAT putting on weight in the feed lot/pasture nearest our road. They fatten and butcher 2 or 3 every year, for the caretakers' and the owner's freezers.

June, hope hubby is okay. Whooping cough is going around...

MizT, now I have my camera I'm trying to remember to take it everywhere. Not doing too well so far! Other than proud mummy events that is.

I took Gail's advice and called the school. The recorded message has the starting days as Wed, Thu with no mention of the strike. Mr Google tells me that as of the 10th of this month the NSWTF was still hoping that the problems would be resolved so that the strike didn't have to go ahead. Sigh.

Forecast is for 33C here June. Mr BOM tells me it is 31C at the moment...

Hubby is working outside today - he is going to be miserable!! In the middle of nowhere too, at the end of 15km of dirt road.

Suzy, I know what it is like to not know the start of school. This school year was delayed by two days because of a hurricane that did not come at us. It was aimed our way, they cancelled the first two days, and then it veered away. We got a lot of rain, but nothing too unusual. The kids (and teachers) were happy to have a few extra days off.

Sad news story of the day (well, from where I site anyway)

1991 Miss USA, moved to modelling, acting, and now at 39 years old, to p0rn films.

No commentary. I think the sadness speaks for iteself. There were other sad stories, but they did not stand out as unusual - which in itself is sad.

Dr. said he has not got pneumonia yet!!! I have mentioned the whooping cough to Hubby. Incresed medication and said he should be OK by Friday.

After much trying(about an hour) I finally changed my Youtube to one for our US friends to welcome their new President.

Hi Tami, June, MizTricia, Suzy, anyone else who's around! I'm well, trying to stay cool, sitting here drinking a smoothie and thinking about the work I should be doing...
June - glad it's not pneumonia!
Suzy - your poor hubby, what awful weather to be working hard outside!

Another quick good morning from me, lovely people. Still not feeling 100% (or even 75% to be honest). Just want to sleep, which is where I'm going now. Hope all is well. Back when I feel up to it.

Cyn, as a fellow asthmatic, you are in my thoughts. Feel like you have run a marathon?

June, thinking of hubby too. It all sounds quite concerning. Did it tick you off that he listened to Mum? Bet you had already told him to go to the docs!

Ohhhh she has attitude just like me, it is a battle of the wills.
Something I never realised before is she puts herself between me and other people. I had some friends she didn't know stay overnight on Sunday and when I was in the kitchen she comes in with me and gets under my feet, I always thought she was being scared of the strangers.

Afternoon all! I've just been shopping - with no air conditioning as it had failed. It was still nice and cool going down the freezer aisles! Nearly $200 with mostly supplies, very little actual food. Vewy annoying!!

I've just been watching some people across the road. The people on the property take in horses on agistment. They fenced it, rotate the horses from one paddock to another if the grass gets low, and fill the water, but everything else is up to the owners. There is a new horse there, very young. I have seen his owners throwing hay over the fence, mowing his paddock with a hand mower, and today they are scooping manure..... None of the other owners do any of that!!!

I just read the headline and broke the news to the girls. Ally is a bit nervous so I wanted her to have a specific day to look toward so it is good to know.

She is singing tomorrow morning, then going to a movie in the afternoon.
