June, I've posted a photo I took when we went on our picnic of a bird that was way up high in a tree above us. He was watching us and seemed to be telling us he was boss! I was wondering if you could have a look and tell me what type of bird you think he is? Frogmouth??

I have been watching the parade down Pennsylvania Avenue. I wanted to see the bands etc and it has just following a black car with thick windows. What did amuze me was Oama chewing gum when he forst got in the car.

There were a few more people in Washington than when we were there in September 2001. The place was deserted. It did mean we got into museums etc with few about but other places were hard to get to see because of the security. It was just afer Sep 11.

We have lots of frogmouth birds here.Very hard to spot but I find them when they go mad at other birds disturbing there daily sleep in.They have a bigger head than in your photo but I can't see it clearly enough.Could be!

My son and new wife honeymooned in Tassie,hired a car to see as much as they could.He wanted to move there as he absolutely loved the cooler weather as apposed to Queensland.I was devastated that they might take the 3 grandsons away.A bit selfish I know,but I want my family near me.

Today he has kindly offered to take my mum to her Specialist Appointment this morning.
This afternoon, he will pick up his mum and go Car Hunting with her.

Seeing I have watched the TV since about 4am I thought it time to get dressed!!!
I was disappointedwith the coverage of the parade as the commentaters overtalked the parade the whole time so you very seldom heard any music. Needed more of a balance. Pleased I was not standing out in that cold temperature.

I am proud to say that I did absolutely nothing today. I've been dealing with a headache that won't go away, have taken a bunch of aspirin, and have taken it easy.
Uh oh..... IH has just come home.

False alarm. Don't know what the dogs were barking at.
