That last post took several tries. Kept getting the White page of Doom!

So far, my posts have gone through much faster since Gath appeared with a fix. Now refreshing was taking a long time, but posts went through faster than in a while.

hehe...we were weird as wellJudy...no TV...listened to Jason and the argonauts EVERY day...particularly loved the Muddle Headed Wombat... Does anybody know what year it ended? I also used to listen to Blue Hills...

Bean, had to look it up - it ran 6 days a week from 1934, had over 50,000 members in the 1950s, was finally discontinued in 1972.

Needless to say it was the very late 50's /early 6p's when I got into it ... older siblings always had it on ..

Heidi - on Easy page 4 Gath tells us he's put in a new 'Alias' feature for supporting members but I can't get into Update Details either - it just takes me back to Easy page.

I loved the serials - we had very few books and rarely went to the library (until the mobile library started up in the mid sixties). So I thought those serials were just fantastic!

Boy does reminiscing about the old shows bring back memories - I can remember sitting in front of the wireless listening to Green Bottle - "Good Morning Sir" & my brother used to listen to Biggles. My mother always had on Blue Hills. They was the good ole days. Had a lovely barbie lunch with friends , now its prawns & damper for tea with the family.Isn't it great to see everyone getting into the Aussie Day spirit with all the flags flying from cars & houses PROUD TO BE AN AUSSIE

Yes!!!!! It's FIXED!!!

Where I went to our barby is on the Puffing Billy railway line, so I was up and down like a yoyo, waving to all the tourists on the train every time it went passed!
Now I must love and leave you. I have offered to take some of the interstate guests out to the airport for their flight home. They have to be there an hour before departure and it takes an hour to get there! Should be home by 8ish I hope!!!

Afternoon all! I've actually been here about an hour but it took me that long to read my emails, catch up to here, and read some news - I do that while pages are updating, saves time...

I just went to check the comments on my pics and realised I hadn't uploaded my favourite one - pelicans taking off from the water and flying by. I took about 4 hoping one of the pics would catch them. This one caught most of them...

All the barbies sound wongerful! None here for us... we did the morning at the showground thing. There were 3 pipebands, market stalls (that's a first!), the award ceremony (our friend didn't get one), a horse and buggy ride, food food and more food, face painting and colouring for the younguns, a bounce castle, some performing artists wandering around, a 20-20 cricket match.... and we ran into almost everyone we know!!!

Yep Heidi! The horses were pertiful too... at least to this inexperienced eye!

And now, since it's nearing 1:30, I shall bid you a

Tom & Jerry are coming to the big screen! Followed by the Jetsons and Yogi. Shame my kids are getting older.... though I guess I can go on my own....
