I am lost in a book this weekend. I picked one that holds my interest, and I read quickly to see what happens next. I will come up for air, food, and a sudoku fix. It feels strange when I put down the book and discover I am not in a small North Carolina mountain town hehehe.

Hello and Happy Valentine's Day to all who contribute, read or are simply follow our comments as lurkers...thanks you for your interest, curiosity or what ever draws you near. Your contributions are important to our lives.
Today is another first in my life, and also perhaps in some of yours....I have spent the early part of today, set aside for sharing of love with those closest to you, in tears of regret, loneliness and grief...I miss my hubby....I have been reliving memories of the good times and reliving my loss....It didn't do a lot to make this a great day, but then I opened my email and saw greetings from around the world wishing me well and offering love...I had an epiphany....I have lost a wonderful man, But, I had had him in my life for over 50 years....what a blessing...I knew that I held a place where no one else had been...as did he...and I STILL had people on this side of the planet that wished me love...How could I not revel in that special feeling...it wasn't gone...He was...true, but his spirit is still with me....
It has turned out to be a great day..because of you and of him...How blessed I am...I thank all of you and thank God for allowing you all to be a part of my life! I am Blessed!
Peace and a wonderfully fulfilling time of faith, peace and love...the most rewarding being love!!!!

Suzy, things are slowly getting back to normal again. We've taken almost everything back downstairs, so you don't need to pull in your tummy and walk sideways to get around upstairs anymore. The grouting still hasn't dried downstairs fully, so we just have piles of stuff lying around. Son#2 is still sleeping upstairs. We did get the disinfectant. I couldn't believe that we had heaps left over, yet some families were sending multiple family members separately to get more than their share. It takes all types I guess.

Susan, glad to hear. I have seen that 'it's free so I must need more' thing before. Very strange. It sounds like a good idea for S2 to sleep upstairs until downstairs is completely dry.
Mum said something about having to disinfect the yard as well. I've been trying to imagine disinfecting grass! I know, a spray bottle, but it's more interesting to imagine someone wiping the individual blades of grass with a cloth!

There is a drawback to no baseball - hubby has decided that makes this a good day to start spreading the paint we bought yesterday around. I'm dreading it - what if I hate the colours once they're on the wall????
Ally decided yesterday that she wanted white everything in her room. When she first moved into it pink was her favourite colour, now she hates pink and was stuck with pink walls after she started hating it. Her logic is that if she sticks with white she won't be stuck with a colour she doesn't like. I talked her out of it - hope I don't regret that! I think she picked a kind of green.
I still can't believe we were lucky enough to get 20% off all the paint. If we bought it today it would have been full price. I don't usually get that lucky!

Fell asleep after my last post, and just woke up. That was the best thing I could do for the headache, I think. It feels a lot better, tho' not 100%.

Tami's mother take care of yourself, shingles can take a while to completely go, and even after that they can re-occur.
My son had them when he was 3yrs old. Our doctor said he was the youngest person he had ever heard of having shingles, previous youngest had been 8. He had had chickenpox when he was 10 months old.

I'm back...
Thank you everybody for the entertaining read....you in particular Tricia!!! Have just decided to save a little face and NOT tell of some of my similar blunders!
I had lots of comments to make and have been blown away by Mama...as usual! I had been thinking a lot about you and Sully as I was sitting there yesterday receiving and reading all my mail... To have had and to have lost a love like that...makes for such a difficult anniversary for you. But, as I have said before...he isn't gone...he is just in a different dimension...one you can't touch him but while you have such strong memories he will never be gone... he lives on for ever in your heart and in each and everyone of your descendent's.
In fact I'm sure can still feel him now.

Slept well, thanks Gail. The wind has changed and the smoke is now blowing across Bass Strait and the concern is now for Tidal River which has been evacuated apart from the fire'ies. One of them I have known all his life. In fact we know quite a few of them. They have been stranded at Tidal River for several days, but ringing through regularly.
I will sleep in Foster again tonight in case there is a wind change, but if the current wind direction remains, the fire front will be moving away from us.
Hope all is well at C*ckatoo, Gail, and that the smoke is blowing away.

Mama..... Incredible sentiments! I'm so glad that you realize that Sully will always be with you; in your heart, your memories and in your descendants. He's even a part of little Angelique. You are a very special, loving person..... and it's easy for a lot of people to love you, too. All of us here treasure your friendship and love. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY.

Mama, I was so sad reading your post, but I'm glad that you've found renewed joy in your memories. It sounds as if you and Sully had a wonderful life together and I agree that you were, and still are, blessed - some people never find that kind of love.

Suzy, I love white walls, and green, and Heidi's blue sounds really nice. We stick to cool colours up here.
About disinfecting grass, a spray bottle wouldn't be much faster than wiping each blade. We can set the pressure cleaner on a low pressure and that's what we did - a couple of minutes to do the whole block.
Dino, continuing to send positive thoughts. Heidi, was sure you'd have a fingers crossed pic in your collection. What about one of everything crossed?

To have loved and lost is better than never to have loved at all...
I couldn't agree more Judy...many people never find that kind of love. Cherish and revel in that knowledge and in the memories

I don't think I said "Good moring everyone"! If your day didn't start well I hope it gets better soon, if it did start well may it continue that way!
We went out yesterday to look at water tanks and such-like environmentally friendly stuff - looks like we don't have enough wall space for the one Rob wanted, so will need further consideration. Came away with a Bokashi bin, which gave us some fun last night, chopping up old veggies and carefully layering everything. Looks like a great way to recycle, and to enrich our poor soil.

Again thanks for the sweet words...they do help, but simply knowing you as I have come to know you is wonderful.
Dino, Yes, I am Blessed and happy to acknowledge it...I have so much and am very appreciative.
I will rest easier knowing that you will do your best to stay safe. That holds true for all who are in the face of danger...trust your instincts and in your faith of whatever you trust as your refuge in times of danger.
Not all of us believe in the same things or the same way...do what you feel is right for you and yours...its okay! Peace!

Good morning lovely SA7 people - I'll leave my Valentines smiley up for the topsiders for today.
topsiders - hope you have a lovely day with the one you love, or like our dear Mamacita, remembering love with joy and tears - I'm happy you found some solace today Mama and, like many have said, he's not gone while there are those remaining who love and remember him.

I'm doing this in a hurry - I have almost used up my usage for this month and still have until 23/2 before the new billing month starts for me so I'm trying to use my off-peak time until 12 noon and not get on the net in the afternoons -
HOW AM I GOING TO COPE?? Sorry for shouting but I'm

One last thing - a link to the story of the 13 year-old father in UK.

There's probbly better links that 'The Sun' but I have to do this in a hurry before the bell tolls in 14 minutes.

I saw that 13yo story. There is another article quoting the neighbours of the 15yo suggesting the young boy should get a DNA test done as the girl has 'lots' of boyfriends. I found it incredibly sad.

I was wondering something. back when I had only one phone line and dial up, in the "good old days" I would download a bulletin board I frequented, and read and answer mails offline. Then I would sign back in and send my replies, and I did not tie up our business phone line. So I was looking around and I found that I have the ability to "work offline" here in Sudokuland.
If I go to File and then scroll down, there is the "work offline" button. Click it, you are no longer online, but the whole page is there. I was able to scroll and read. I did not try answering, not sure if it would be there when I signed back online, but it should be.
Now CynB Judy and others on limited internet time, would that cut down your online time to do that? Make it easier for you to read everything and yet not use up so many minutes? Just a thought here.
