Suzy, yes, true, you cannot turn the page offline. you would have to change to work online, turn the page, and change back to offline, but I would do it if I had limited online time, just to get my Sudokuland fix!

Now that looks wrong! I wasn't talking about the TOPP, I meant the working off line thing!

My broadband limit is based on the amount of data uploaded or downloaded rather than time. Many years ago I had a prepaid dialup plan that worked on time. The problem then was paying for the local call to redial - got quite expensive. I pretty much limited my access to emails back then. I think I was better off in a lot of ways - a lot more time to do other things!!!

MizT thanks for thinking about me, but I really don't have a problem with the download limit - only when my son has been downloading movies, I think, and as he is in the process of moving out that should not be an issue again. :)

Hello, Everyone! Happy Valentine's Day to all of you! I won't be able to visit every page and send you personal greetings. I hope you all had a wonderful day!
We have been full-time babysitters for our grandies the last few days. I have a great deal of appreciation for those of you (especially June) who do it frequently. We love our grandies (age 3 and 8 months), and they're great kids, but we're worn out. Only a few more days.

Oh Viv, nothing like that here! You must be getting close to flooded out. I read that northern NSW was in for a lot of rain, but I didn't think it would be that much...
Still waiting for putty to dry - not good weather for it apparently.

Oh I forgot to tell you that some non means tested flood relief was announced this week. We've applied, and fingers crossed, will get some to go towards the repairs of our house. We'll follow the lead of others and donate towards the bushfire appeal again as well of course.

I have been cleaning out THAT room, you know the one, the one stuff gets put into when you don't know where else to put it... I have to stop now as the bin is full. Still waiting for the putty to dry so I decide to feed my addiction some more and roll around the news on the web. Every now and then I read an odd news section on one page that is called Weird True Freaky. I never got it. I just got it. I am soooooo slow!!!

Viv, would LOVE some rain here! Many of my plants have curled up their toes (figuratively). We are only allowed to water a couple of times a week, between 6 and 8am, which is a very difficult time, and we tend to forget.

Yes, I forgot to water yesterday morning so they will have to gasp till Tuesday, unless I supplement them with grey water, but I can't do that with the food plants!
Hi and goodbye Judy. Sorry I missed you. Have a safe drive.

Today was our town's fire awareness day run by the local CFA. Very interesting. It was an informal affair, mainly pamphlet gathering etc, but had quite a chat with one of the volunteers. He said if your fire plan is to not be here, then with a day like last Saturday, you should get out on the Friday night! And to be prepared that if an event does happen, you may not be allowed back home for a couple of weeks! So be prepared, take more than just a change of clothes, and have your home number redirected to your mobile. Let all your neighbours know you have gone so they wont panic, worrying about you being in the house, if a fire comes through. All very valuable advice.

Well, I had better do what I came here to do in the first place. Had a request from D#1 to please make some scones as she will be home soon and would like some nice afternoon tea! I think she thinks she is Queen La-di-da!
Been years since I made scones and have to do some research!
Catch you later.

Hmmmming here Gail. That was good stuff to know. Thank you for telling us. Will share it with hubby.
Heidi - I am covered in paint - reminds me of your story of the red paw prints... well, I know they were more like smudges, but paw prints sounds better.

Hi SA7. Nice lazy day here for me for a change.
Rain has stopped, not sure for how long but so quiet now.
I have been knitting little tiny bootees for Kira. Have used a dolls pattern.
Just got word she now weighs 2028g.
Putting on weight which is great to hear.

Judy and Gail, I hadn't even mentioned my garden. Apart from a few robust ones and tall plants, my plants all drowned. I haven't even touched the garden yet in the hope that some will revive themselves. The only plants that are as healthy as ever is the nut grass. Typical. When I do buy more plants, it'll be of the type that survived. Somehow we have to clean all the rocks too. I only have rock gardens so that I minimise watering.....

Good advice, Gail. I'm staying home tonight, even though I can still only get the commercial TV. The stranded fire'ies are OK. They could always be taken out by boat or helicopter. They are there to protect Tidal River assets.

That's a great link Bean. An interesting thing that came to mind was sites like this and msn. She mentioned meeting for coffee with friends who have been through the same thing; this is kind of like that. Perhaps something that will help you, Gail, Dino and others who have been under threat, breathing the smoke, worried about friends etc etc.

Susan, I didn't think of your garden. It feels like something that should have been obvious now that I've read your post. Are the rocks mouldy or mossy, covered in crud?
Boy I learn a lot in here.

My Knight in Orange Armour, by Dana Burk
I stood stock still, watching
When my eyes spied a mighty dragon
Its neck stretched up high
It tainted the sky
With its breath of black
A sea of panic engulfed me
I ran to my treasure trove of childhood memories
I grabbed and shoved anything I would miss
In a bag, one last time I ran around
Hoping there was nothing forgotten
Outside a fanfare is blaring
And I grabbed my bag, ran to the noise
Just in time to see
A big red steed, skidded to a stop
In front of the approaching dragon
I watched in awe, as many soldiers
Surrounded the beast
They wielded blades of liquid power
Which bit and licked
At the fiery dragon
The dragon screeched and squirmed
As the soldiers blades sliced its flesh
The dragon shrank, till finally gone
And in its place was a blackened skeleton
The soldiers turned, they won the battle
And there he stood, my knight in orange armour
