I was looking up the fire situation near Dino. It says the fire is not currently posing any threat to communities but to be on the alert. Also to expect more smoke. Thinking of you Dino.

hi Judy...
I'm just reading up on the Stitches and Crafts fair...at the showgrounds this year which is a much better venue...don't like Jeff's shed or the exhibition building...parking issues... quilt show is at the exhibition building and I'm trying to decide if I could handle the parking in there...
You going? Maybe it could be the first outing for the Punch 'n Judy Quilters Group ....
Sorry ...should be Bean 'n Judy....

Lachie went for a jog yesterday [as he does most days]...and he said it was pretty hard yakka with the air quality...my head hasn't stopped aching since it became so smoking...I don't think it is a coincident.

Ok, I'm back! Bean I do sometimes go to the Stitches and Craft fair - sometimes it's easier to go by public transport. I guess it depends on how much, especially size-wise, you are planning on buying. I think I went to the Showgrounds last year, or maybe that was for something else... How appropriate to have CRAFTs disease now!

Well, wherever it was, I think I went with my sister last year. We like different types of craft - she's more into embroidery and smocking, while I go for the easier things (patchwork!) We never used to hang out together much, but since all the troubles with our parents we seem to have become a bit closer. Something good out of a lousy situation.

Stay safe Dino! Will be thinking about you until you post again....

I thought of the fire affected people during dinner - people who didn't even have a home and I was eating out! So I fed another tin to ease my conscience. It didn't really work though...

I hope the Victorians have a peaceful evening, the Queenslanders dry out a little, and the forecast wild weather for Sydney is not as bad as expected...

Love you all!

Gail, I can't begin to imagine how you must have felt when you got that mobile call about your area.
I caught the end of a news story today. Was someone actually charged today for starting one or more of the fires? If so, can I please deliver the sentence?

Suzy, we didn't go to the sausage sizzle. Firstly I had dinner cooking in the slow cooker all day already, and I don't eat sausages!

Today Son#1 went back to uni. O Week starts tomorrow, so lots of partying will be happening I guess. Yeah I will miss him. We made the trip down to take his fridge, and I stopped in at Stockland to buy mop heads. You just can't get them here at the moment. Strange that.

Luckily I was able to get broom heads locally. Our supermarkets are still very very low on supplies. I went twice this week, and still couldn't get a heap of the things on my list. Everyone must have had the same idea as me. On Friday, there were traffic jams in our little town. I kid you not.

Hi everyone.

Gail, hope that you and yours stay safe. Hoping that the fires are soon put out.

Dino, happy to hear that you've decided to move to a safer area.

Susan, kind of know what you're going thru. My hometown flooded and remember all the cleaning that was involved.

Didn't mean for you to feel bad for me. Hubby didn't have any choice in working today. I don't know if you read my post about the company being tightfisted and behind the times. They are in a position to double and have realized that they need help. Anyway, they hired a consultant to come in to go over the whole IT area. Hubby has to go over the plans with the consultant to come up with how many more programmers they need and what has to be written/rewritten.

Rolanda, I have a slow cooker recipe for cacciatore if you'd like it.

Have decided to make one of hubby's favorite meals, pizza. Well, off to start the sauce.

Take care and stay safe.

Dino..... I;m glad that you and Merlin are out of harms way. I also hope your home is spared. Yes, they're only possessions, but I know that I'd rather not go through the hassle of replacing the replaceable and losing the irreplaceable.
