Happy Valentine's Day to all celebrating today. We are having a Valentine's party at Sparks and Brownies this afternoon. Making cards, playing games, and cupcakes and juice. Should be fun, I know the girls will enjoy it.

it is lovely to be down in Brizzy with Renae,have packed a few boxes and done some cleaning but the girls are 18mths now and getting into everything.It is still so nice to be around them.Raining here and cooler than it has been.May pop back in later if time permits.

I went outside and heard a very loud buzzing. One of my gums is flowering and it must be covered in bees!

No new calves. The ones that are on the ground are all basking in the sun on this nice, warm day.

I'm glad the bees are having a lovely Valentines Day.

It was such a nice day that I decided to paint the Hay Hauler. It only had primer on it. It is now a bright red to match my tractor. One of the cats decided to "help". He kept jumping on the wet paint, then jumping on me. He is now covered in red paint. I'm still cleaning it off me.

Hmmm, I don't think I've ever thought a nice day was a reason to paint something. Feeling lazy here now. While I laugh at the idea of red paw prints all over you!

I just discovered red paw prints on my face.

BTW...NOBODY around here has EVER remembered Valentines Day...romantic bones aren't in the bodies!!! Every year my dad gave my mum a card....I wonder if she ever appreciated it?

Bean! Beat them about the head!! My girls are munching around the edges of the basket of choccies while their Dad cooks them bacon and eggs. All three of them got a card from me, I got a wongerful card and a box of choccies from hubby... Even the dogs got a treat - but not chocolate.

I've been dozing off. Now I NEED to get up and feed hay to the heifers.

I had a card for Hubby, he said he forgot this year. No big deal. A couple of times he has bought roses if they were reduced in price at the end of the day. They always quadruple the price of flowers on Valentines day.
And I do not want more chocolate as there is still lots still around since Christmas.

And I have family ( Auntie and Uncle from Holland, Auntie and Uncle from Perth, Mum ) coming on Tuesday for Dinner. Now will have to rethink of what to feed the 10 of us !!
Twas thinking of Lasagne, Quiche (and maybe Chicken Cacciatore).

The paw prints are just oily red smudges on my nose and forehead. I need to work on them with paint thinner.

I just tagged 5 new lambs. I couldn't catch the 6th one. I'll corner it tomorrow. The ones I tagged were 2 black and white spotted, 2 golden, and 1 black. The one I couldn't catch is black with 4 white stockings and a big white star.

I was greeted with a red rose this morning.

Rolanda, things always break down when you need them most, otherwise where's the fun? My best was Christmas Day - getting the dinner out of the oven after 2 hours and suddenly realising that the dish was quite cold ... AAaaargh!!
Gail, you are making us jealous! My hubby is still fast asleep ...

Hey, I'm up, he's still in bed!
This morning was my morning to make the coffees, but he got up before me. I asked him what he was doing because it was my turn and he told me I could have a treat. I thought having coffee made for me was the treat but he came in with the coffees and the rose. My day has started out on the right foot!
It is strange though when the beautiful scent of the rose mingles with the acrid smell of smoke!

And now, off to do ffuts...how romantic!

My girls (the older two) are going to a wedding today. D2 is all beautiful in her summery floral dress, D1 will be here shortly - I should try to get a photo of them both looking luverly.
