Guy Sebastian has been robbed at knifepoint in Los Angeles. The Australian singer quickly handed over $230 (US$150) to his assailant, who fled the scene.
In Los Angeles for less than a month, the Australian Idol graduate was apparently leaving a Subway outlet in Hollywood with a meatball sandwich at 3am Saturday morning when he was accosted by the thieves.
Sebastian wrote of the incident on social networking site Twitter: "Oh my gosh, I just got mugged at knife-point no kidding! Got a meatball subway and was met outside by two thugs who wanted cash! $150!"
Titus Day, Sebastian's Australian-based agent, has confirmed the story. "It was after working late in the studio and he didn't have his wallet or phone on him, so just gave them the money he had," Day explained.
"He threw the money at them to distract them and when they went to get it, he ran and jumped in his car and went back to the hotel."
According to Day, Sebastian has not contacted police over the money, as he felt "they were young and seemed like homeless guys, and that he didn't feel like he was in serious danger."
Sebastian has been recording new material in LA, with his new album due out in June.

Hi all
Fire at Prom still burning but no danger to locals. Sky overhead clear of smoke which is a good sign. Roland, I hope WA does not suffer the way the Vic has. The prom fire is probably the largest they've had in terms of ground burnt out. So many native animals and vegetation will have died. I hope this does not mean that more species disappear from the planet.
Will take Merlin for his walk though we might get blown off the beach!

Dino you do not want strong winds. yes very hard on the animals. About 77years ago fire with great heat went through near where one daughter lives and we used to see a hundred or more kangaroos every evening and the numbers are only just starting to get back. You just hope the animals die in the fire and are not burnt and have to suffer.

Viv, makes you wonder, what was he doing buying meatball sandwiches at 3 in the morning???

June, I have wished the same thing about tissues and it just doesn't happen...

The nice breeze here is gusting to 45kph... things are banging and booming.

The good thing about the breeze is the paint is drying quickly... Should get the door finished before hubby gets home tonight. BTW - it's a really big door - fills an archway. It was also bare wood so needed extra coats of paint. That's my excuse for it taking so long and I'm sticking to it!

Thanks for the TOPP update Tami.
Suzy we generally take the doors of the hinges to paint tnem. We then use a small roller. It does take a couple of days for the coats to dry and to paint both sides.
Which reminds me we got all the doors done but the two for the wardrobe in the last bedroom!(and that room still needs painting)

Afternoon all!
June, we thought about that, but it took 3 of us to hold this door up to hang it! It's unbelievably heavy. We decided to just do the best we could in place. We will probably take the other doors down though, when we get to them.

Heidi, I thought it was very late for you so I checked the world time clock - and it's actually not that late at all.

Ah.... but which time zone did you check? I'm 1 mile from the time zone line, and half of Magnolia is in Eastern time, and half in Central time. I run on Eastern time. (11:24 pm right now)

Heidi, why did you choose Eastern time zone?

We were in North Western Ky, near the river, delivering a dome kit a few years ago. Very Rural, and no towns in Ky for miles, but across the river in Indiana, there was a town, right on the river. People worked and shopped in the town, which was on Eastern time. It was soo funny hearing them talk about not Eastern and Central time, but " fast time and slow time".
