STELLA. I am not Broni, but I know the answer to your question. Keith likes having his picture taken with statues wherever he travels. He poses with them as nearly like them as he can. Check out his photos, you will see him posed with statues in many locations. Once, there was even talk on easy of topless statue photos, and he complied, a back view, with a wig to match the long hair of young lady statue he was mimicking.

I think the statue you found online is just great. Now to 1. find where it is, 2. borrow Keith a top hat, vest and coat. they would match up really well hehehe.

Good Morning Sudokuland, I am having coffee, would you join me?

Today is overcast and warmer than I expected this morning, 45F going for 65F for a high. That is 7C to 18C, not a bad winter day today. Perhaps a shower or a sprinkle of rain today, we will see.

Ah MisT, could not have explained it better myself. Glad you saw the similarity to the statue. Vicki/Victoria has sent me some places in Brissy with statues (bless her) he is not arriving until midday Saturday and leaving Monday (not sure of the time) so with a BBQ in between we will not have much time.

Ahhh, Broni, I thought you had gone to sleep, or I would not have answered for you! Yes, seems they will not have a lot of time for sightseeing with thier " one day" in town. I do hope you get to see some of the sights and find a couple of excelent statues for him. I think his idea of posing with statues makes for interesting " travel photos".

At least she just wanted her ears pierced. If I would allow it my youngest would look like a sieve with all the piercings she loves. Oh and she loves tattoos too. She knows if she wants to live at home that she is not allowed them (her father agrees with me too)

If she got all the piercings she wanted she would never get through security devices at airports without setting the alarms ringing

I'll take some of that coffee MizT! Thank you... yummo.

Stella, mine were allowed to get their ears pierced when they turned 13, and both nagged me right up until the day. I had a second piercing done when I was 30 (mid-life crisis?) so when Ebob asked for a second one I couldn't really say anything. It's next to the first one. She has been told that if she wants any more she has to wait until she's 18, and preferably not living at home...

Brenda, I told my kids that tattoos are not nice on young people and emphasised the 'forever' thing. I suggested they try henna if they ever want to experiment because it lasts for a long time, but not forever,;that way if they regret it, it won't matter. That was not a recent conversation, just one we had when someone we knew got a tat. Ebob asked me about henna last night..... No!!!!!

Brenda, I have images of your daughter setting off alarms and people running from all over the airport terminal to see the crim trying to get through security...

Broni, it's not water I imagine spouting out of some piercings...

I tell my kids the ones near the mouth look like pimples, the ones through the eyebrow make your whole face look weird. And yes, those tiny little piercings in the nose do look nice, but what happens when you sneeze???

One more for a CP...

Brenda, I can't get a memory out of my head now. Many years ago my face was wired back together after an accident. When I had to fly afterwards I was petrified I would set off the security alarms! Nothing happened... worried for nothing. I had the wires removed when I had to go in for follow up surgery 3 years later.

OH MY Suzy, to have your face wired together, that must have been some trauma you suffered. I am glad the wires have been removed, and that you did not set off alarms.

Heidi, perhaps you have no headache today because you gave it to me!

Brenda, I also have wondered where everyone was today. I have checked in a couple of times to see no new messages.

Suzy, my niece's best friend had the most beautiful porcelain skin I had ever seen. You could not see any pores on her face. About 5 or so years ago, she got her nose pierced with a tiny diamond stud. I thought, oh no, why would someone do that to a perfect face. I saw her in December at my niece's baby shower and she had the stud removed a couple of years ago. You could still see the mark it made.

Stella, how sad, but it could have been worse! The young person who pierced Ebob's ears told me about a woman who had piercings everywhere - including a new (seemed new as it was inflamed and there was blood) through the bridge of her nose!! ewewewewew

Morning everyone!
Suzy - ouch!
My girls got their ears pierced when they were in high school, can't remember the age. My youngest got a tattoo after she left school - she didn't tell me about it for ages, and I was horrified when I saw it, though it was fairly small. She got another one (on her lower back) a while ago, and it turns out she's allergic to the ink. And I didn't laugh - much...
The one that really freaked me out was my son. Not a tattoo, he went for the tongue-piercing - I found him in the kitchen eating ice-blocks ; thought he was just being his normal strange self. Eventually I asked if he was all right, and he stuck his tongue out at me - I actually screamed! He laughed himself silly about it, but I was horrified! This is the boy who wanted to be an actor, and he couldn't even talk properly for a while afterwards - how dumb is that. :(
Well he's currently working at one of those dinner shows (Titanic) and has to take the stud out while he's working - apart from that he doesn't seem to have any trouble with it, so I guess there's no harm done. But - yech!

Stella, that's the most amazing part - who thought of it????

MizT, one of the things that made it easier was seeing other people in hospital far worse off than I was. I used to walk around talking to people because I broke the base of my eyes and had double vision - no TV or reading. There was a young girl who had gone through a windscreen, a woman with a blood clot which was life threatening...

Judy - the dental bills!!!! Ebob has to spray her ears a couple of times a day - I'm wondering what the spray tastes like, hehe

At least there will be no more tatts for your daughter!!

My SIL has a big one on her lower back, my mother was horrified.

Suzy it sounds pretty horrific, but I guess, as you say, it could have been worse. Was this before seatbelts were compulsory? Hard to believe the fuss people made when that law was brought in.

Judy, I was wearing a seat belt, saved my life. The other car was much bigger than mine and squished mine right up.
