Those parents would claim that setting them down off the bus left them vulnerable to perverts etc, BUT oftentimes these same parents let these same kids run wild through our streets, parks and shopping centres - swearing, yelling, no manners whatsoever. Hrrmmmpphhhhh!
Oh, I need a soapbox smiley!

Cynthia, I always hated my name - seemed like every second girl at school was called Judy. Well, that's an exaggeration, Catholic school, every second girl was called Mary or Bernadette, but Judy WAS pretty common! ;)

I did it again - if I try to get a TOPP, I just can't. But don't look at the numbers and hey, presto!

I'm awake again. I've got an even better yyeeewwww ant story. One night I woke up feeling hungry and remembered I'd left a slice of chocolate cake on the bench, so I grabbed it and took a big mouthful. It tasted odd, a bit like fruit tingles. I though that was unusual for chocolate cake and turned on the light. The cake was riddled with ants!

My mum and dad had an argument about what I was to be called. Dad wrote out the birth certificate, so he won. But he hardly even called me by my name. he called me 'sissy' or 'gussy'.

It's a pretty sad thing when we are scared of kids.
I remember, during our trip to Alaska, alone in a strange town, we passed a couple of teenage girls on the street and they both said "Excuse me, Ma'am." We thought they were trying to be funny, then realised that they were being polite to their elders! It felt really weird!

A couple of years ago, I had just baked some chocolate chip cookies and placed them in my cookie jar. About 20 minutes later, I was walking past the jar and decided I needed a cookie. I reached in, pulled out a still warm cookie and found that it was covered in hundreds of ants. Overnight, the whole colony must have set up home in the cookie jar, and they were thrilled that the gods filled their new home with cookies.

After killing the ant colony (and the batch of cookies with them), I fogged the entire house. That meant WAR!

I'm off to the barn, then to bed.
Tomorrow, a read headed pair of Gouldian Finches is being shipped to me from Florida, due to arrive Friday morning. Then on Saturday, I pick up a pair of Black headed Blue backed Gouldians at the Airport. Rumors are starting to float around that we're going to get another ice storm on Saturday.

Don't you have foggers there? They are the best thing for eliminating pests, but a pain in the butt to use.

Ok, now it's official - I'm going crazy!
I just picked up my Dalek clock to have a look at it - couldn't quite remember how it works - accidentally pushed a button and it screamed "Exterminate!" and I got such a fright I almost dropped it!
Now I can't stop laughing...

Christopher Eccleston had a cool, slightly manic, quality that was great. But I do REALLY like David Tennant ... Mmmmm!
I've seen a few things C.E. has been in, and he often plays quite scary, or slightly crazy, characters - I think he's a really good actor.
I love the fact that the show can get just about anyone as a guest star - I mean Derek Jacobi (And he was Evil!) And the episode with the Angels was genuinely terrifying!
You might have noticed that I like this show ...

The show with the Angels scared the bejeebies out of me. And I don't scare that easily.

Any cake left Suzy? I'm rather peckish at the mo!

D#3 just got her ears pierced for Christmas. The other two had theirs done at about the same age. They asked and I had no particular druthers either way. My first holes were done for my father's second wedding, by my stepmother (Mum wasn't overly impressed, she wasn't asked!). I had my second holes put in when I was 17, don't know why, just did!

Oh, whatever! ;)
It's a bit early for food flinging, surely? Damn, I have to catch my food before I can fling it - I'd better toddle off to the place that purveys comestibles ...

That concert that Midnight Oil and many other bands are reforming for, we are thinking of going. Love Hunters and Collectors. Very reasonably priced considering the names that will be there.

Gail, no, no, no! That was Peter Davison, who was the fifth Doctor - AGES ago! Christopher Eccleston was the Ninth Doctor, and first of the new episodess - he was only there for one series before morphing into the gorgeous David Tennant.
