Oh we had a discussion about my workload yesterday and about the only thing they have cut out is the filing and end of day balancing, which means they will just have to wait for stuff if they want me to do it.

Hi, Broni and Suzy! Bye, Broni and Suzy! Hello to all of SA6! It seems we have a few tired friends here tonight - already off to bed. I'm not going to last much longer, either, as an early wake-up is in order tomorrow.

SUZY, a cell phone would be a good idea for the bedroom, if we could get reception at my house. We are in a dead zone. One of those places the "can you hear me now" guy in the ads never visited. Now if I go outside, and stand in one certain spot in the driveway, and point my phone in one certain direction, and if the phone signal gods are smiling that day, I can get a weak signal. Strange thing is, we can sit on our back porch and see the aviation lights on a cell tower in the distance.

What a 'hoot' of a morning it has been.
Gail & Liz arrived round about the expected time and whats more I was ready and waiting....
I was yabbering so much as I was driving [actually I was pointing out the ex-location of a knocking shop] and turned too early.....

Well what a treat that was...we ended up down on the banks of the Yarra and you will never guess who we saw down there.... I shouldn't steal the girls thunder....I think Liz wants to tell you ALL about it....A few clues though...there was a photographer, a white horse, a lady with long blonde hair and now your job is to guess who she was and what she was doing..... he he....

I spent too much money, Liz acquired some bargains, Gail zilch and we had a wonderful lunch. We went to 'Lentil as Anything'...tucked away down in the Abbotsford Convent. We could have sat there all day...it is hard to believe you are a couple of kms from the CBD when you are down there away from the hustle and bustle. Check out the photos on the webpage....we sat out the front under the peppercorn tree.

Bummer MizT. It's like that at our house with one particular provider, but we can get good reception with others. Unfortunately for my first phone I chose the provider with no reception! Who knew? I remember the 'walk down the driveway' days!

I remember our first cell phones. We got them so we could keep in touch with my Dad (2 1/2 hours away). Of course, they didn't work in his area.

MizT I was off doing stuff and remembered an add campaign one of telephone providers had for a while - John McEnroe throwing his cell phone down when he had no reception saying 'this would never happen in Australia'. It didn't last long, probably too many complaints about misleading advertising. Our provider with the widest coverage says they cover 90+% of Australia. Reading the fine print they meant the areas where more than 90% of Australians lived, not the geographical area....

After stopping the car and watching the scene for a few seconds, Liz determined that she WAS actually wearing a body stocking!!!

I thought I'd changed that Heidi! I go into lurking mode when I'm not really here... Maybe I changed it back but haven't done all the other stuff I have to do - shut down all sudoku tabs, shut down the interent, start up again otherwise it doesn't update.

That was how it was easy to see that she was not really in the nuddy, her face was a different colour.

got worse though went to Ringwood on my way home and spent a huge ammount of money....

Ebob is babbling! A snake climbed up her arm - a really big snake (Taronga Zoo were at the Science Expo), she held a praying mantis, she saw sand move with sound vibrations, she answered a question correctly (radioactive materials used for cancer treatment- yep, Lucas Heights were there), she got to crash trains by changing the tracks (I got all confused!!), something about magnets that was 'really cool' and who knows what else...
