I am back, bed made, one load of laundry folded and put away. Dishes that did not fit into the dishwasher are washed dried and put away. Taking a breakfast break now, really easy today, bowl, box, spoon. Oh did add a banana hehe.

Looks like I have the place to myself again, Oh well, maybe a puzzle while I eat.

I was woken up early (for me) this morning by a neighbor calling to tell me about a horse trainer she recently discovered. I'd used her with mixed results in the past, but I may need to go back since I cannot get hold of my favorite trainer. I have two colts... both 2 1/2 years old...... that need to be started.... one under saddle and one in harness.

Morning all! Love reading the overnight posts!

June, I hope you got back to sleep when you left.

Heidi, glad you got some more sleep. You have unusual hours!

Tami, d2 cooked her first batch of spag bol last week and was sooo proud of herself. I guided her through the 'cheat' version first and will gradually help her upskill to the real deal! They both cook breakfast on our birthdays, but prefer hubby to prepare it at other times.

G'Day, ALL! I just have a minute to pop in and say Hello. I will revisit the dart-a-sheep game later (mentioned again on p. 234 or 235, I think). Great TOPP, Becky! Do you think all of us should ask Susan's Mom to adopt us? We would be one big happy family! (Well, I guess we already kind of are.) MizT, by now I hope the tech guys have worked out your pooter probs! Heidi, good luck finding a trainer for the 2 colts. I'm not sure "mixed results" is what you want. Sounds like you had a much-deserved nap! Good luck with planting 350 bulbs, Vici! Would you like some help? RolaDahlia, I hope you had fun at the fundraiser in your bootiful clothes and bootiful curls! June, I hope you got some sleep. Tami, I hope you got out of the house and to the grocery store for your weekly stock-up. Suzy, it's great that D2 prepared her first batch of spag bol, but what, exactly, is it? What is a cheat version?

Well, Ladies (and Gents, when they appear), I'm off to do some proof reading for hubby. (It's about 30 pages of family history he's working on.) Hope to see you later!

Hi Julie and Heidi, I've just been off reading easy. Jim's blog next.

The cheat version comes in a jar, brown the meat, add the jar, spice it up a bit more, bring to a boil, simmer and reduce.... The real thing starts with tomatoes...

Ebob is d1 Heidi, Ally is d2. Both have asked for cook books for Xmas. We say 'why' when you can get anything you want on the internet!

Ebob went to a friend's house yesterday and came home with a share of the banana cake they made together. Wish I'd had friends who liked cooking when I was younger! My mother is accomplished at many things, cooking is not one of them! Meat and three veges was her limit. Not even spag bol!

Heidi I get that kind of stuff confused all the time!

In about an hour I will have the house to myself - on a Sunday! Ebob and hubby are off to Berkley for a baseball game, Ally is at a sleepover and I don't pick her up until 11am. I'm a bit worried about getting out of my street to go and get her though. I've heard that 9000 tickets to the air show have already been purchased. It starts at 10 so the road might be clear - I hope!

I'm not going to try to do anything until the house is empty. Hubby has lost a computer disc so I'm going to unbury the lounge room (how do they bury is so quickly????) and hope it turns up.... I suspect it will be under something, like a lounge...

I'm Jake the Peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With my extra leg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
Wherever I go through rain and snow
The people always let me know
There's Jake the peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With his extra leg, diddle-iddle-iddle

The day that I born (oh boy) my father nearly died
He couldn't get my nappies on, how matter how he tried
'Cos I was born with an extra leg, and since that day begun
I had to learn to stand on my own three feet
Believe me that's no fun

[Chorus]

I had a dreadful childhood really, I s'pose I shouldn't moan
Each time they had a three legged race, I won it on me own
And also I got popular, when came the time for cricket
They used to roll my trousers up
And use me for the wicket

[Chorus]

I was a dreadful scholar, I found all the lessons hard
The only thing I knew for sure, was three feet make a yard
To count to ten I used me fingers, if I needed more
By getting my shoes and socks off
I could count to twenty four

I'm Jake the [stops to count]

...to twenty five

I'm Jake the peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With my extra leg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
Whatever I did they said was false
They said "quick march" I did the quick waltz
Then they shouted at me "put your best foot forward" - but which foot?
I said "it's very fine for you, you only got a choice of two"
But me, I'm Jake the Peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With the extra leg... diddle-iddle-iddle-um

There's an old Australian stockman, lying, dying,
and he gets himself up on one elbow,
and he turns to his mates,
who are gathered 'round him and he says:

Watch me wallabys feed mate.
Watch me wallabys feed.
They're a dangerous breed mate.
So watch me wallabys feed.
Altogether now!

Tie me kangaroo down sport,
tie me kangaroo down.
Tie me kangaroo down sport,
tie me kangaroo down.

Keep me cockatoo cool, Curl,
keep me cockatoo cool.
Don't go acting the fool, Curl,
just keep me cockatoo cool.
Altogether now!

Take me koala back, Jack,
take me koala back.
He lives somewhere out on the track, Mac,
so take me koala back.
Altogether now!

Let me Abos go loose, Lou, *
let me Abos go loose.
They're of no further use, Lou,
so let me Abos go loose.
Altogether now!

Mind me platypus duck, Bill,
mind me platypus duck.
Don't let him go running amok, Bill,
mind me platypus duck.
Altogether now!

Play your digeridoo, Blue,
play your digeridoo.
Keep playing 'til I shoot thro' Blue,
play your digerydoo.
Altogether now!

Tan me hide when I'm dead, Fred,
tan me hide when I'm dead.
So we tanned his hide when he died Clyde,
(Spoken) And that's it hanging on the shed.
Altogether now!
