Nola, you sound good, I too would love to see the new hairdo? Hope Greg improves soon, send him our love and healing vibes.
Mama/Heidi, that stupid woman is her own worst enemy but Workcover is not much better! Nothing more I can do to speed up the process but on the up side work is a much happier place without her.
Mama/Heidi, enjoy the races and company.
MizT, hope the achies have improved.
Must away now, think everything caught up with me and have been snoozing on and off for the last two days and those swearwords did wait for me.

Nola, I do hope Greg's multiple abscesses can be totally drained and all that infection removed. He would have to feel tons better once it is all out. The body fighting that and keeping it capsuled and not systemic has to use a lot of his energy stores. How he has managed as long as he has with that abscess is a wonder. Sending thoughts and wishes that he is soon infection free. Daily dressings have to be a lot of work for you. good thing he has his own private nurse Do they have you using peroxide to hose it out with? When my cat had a huge abscess, vet had me use peroxide with a syringe and that sweet kitty let me do it twice a day without help! Somehow she knew it was making her well.

HEIDI, I hope you had a great day at the Downs. Who won? I have not even heard. Did you have a bet placed on the winner? Did you win or loose on total for the day? I know your friends should appreciate your driving them, those mint juleps can sneak up on you fast hehehe.

Gee forgot what else was back a page. Oh June is feeling better after a day of rest and I am so happy to hear that! Julie had snow in MAY? that is very rare for Illinois, isn't it? Maybe even a bit rare for southern Canada, but our weather has been unusual this whole winter. We had last 2 nights in the 40's, and day just struggling into the 70's with a north wind that has a cold breath to it. People up and down the street and alley today had on light jackets, hoodies, and sweaters. Today was Do Dah Day. I was NOT in the parade, yeah, I did not want to be. I think Ed could not find a way to get Steph and me in our power chairs over to start of the parade. The chairs and the people both would run out of energy making both over and back. There were a LOT of people attending, lots of music at the park. Many of our residents walked up for a bit. I sat on patio and heard the music, close enough for me.

I worked in the garden, and one of our older and more frail residents came and helped. she loves being in the garden, helped me cut a double arm load of winter killed fronds out of the ferns. she loves to try rooting everything that is green, she took to her apartment any frond that had a bit of green still on it to see if it will root. I have no idea, but do not think I could have discouraged her if I had tried.

I had put some lantana clippings with blooms on them into a vase yesterday, looking for a place to put them when I happened to cross paths with Miss Edith then. Knowing how she loved flowers I gave them to her, just as cut flowers, and first thing she asked was would they root hehe. Do not need any more if they do, but she is from a time and place where if you wanted flowers, you got a cutting from a neighbor and took it home to root it, and she was good at it.

We had so many residents wanting the lantana cut down, dug up, burned, destroyed, got totally rid of, and it took me a while to find out why. It is planted in a strip in the parking lot, at the end of a dou

It is planted in a strip in the parking lot, at the end of a double row of parking spaces. People parking adjacent to it said the plants were getting tangled in their clothing, scratching their autos, scratching them when they were getting into or out of the auto. I have taken care of that this spring, I am keeping them trimmed back on that side, nary a branch dare sent a shoot over the edge of that curb, or, OFF WITH IT'S HEAD hehehe. So far has not been hard, the stems are tender and easy cut. Just have to cut it every week or so to keep it trimmed back. Now wonder what they will complain about?

Back is asking for a rest in bed, think I will comply. Hugs to each of you, with extras, till later.

Hi again.
Sorry broni, but you wont see a pic of my new hair do. I am quite happy with it. Bitsy, scruffy look, which is easy to manage.
MizT,,not using peroxide, but it is probably worth looking at. Using a wick soaked in cream, that was put into a container for me to use. It started with an 'F' and is an antibacterial cream.
Very unprofessional of me not to remember the name, but as I am not familiar with it.
Lantana is classed as a noxious weed in many Australian states. Quite pretty but poisonous to some livestock.
Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here.
Sonny has been outside running around, and is now trying to climb on my lap with wet paws.A heavy dew makes the yard sparkle in the sunlight. I love this time of year.
Have a good weekend all.

Hi, Everyone! Yesterday's snow didn't stick or stay with us. Temperatures seemed to hover just around 32*F or a little warmer, so some rain and icy pellets were mixed in. Ultimately it warmed enough so only rain fell from the sky.

Sending good wishes to everyone! May those who need healing receive the healing vibes; those who are dealing with unpleasantness of any kind may use the positive thoughts. For each of you, lots of prayers, , and {{{{{HUGS & JUGS}}}}} to partake in.

Heading to bed early tonight.

Grocery shopping today. Would you believe I had this lovely list that I lost somewhere before I got out of the house. I did pretty good, I think I got everything I needed from Aldi's, my brain was working today I delayed the Wal mart trip, I must go out tomorrow anyway for a prescription.

We had clouds and humid humid weather, ugg! Our lovely spring weather with low humidity and a nice breeze has spoiled me.

Heidi, did I hear right? someone told me California Chrome has won the first 2 of the triple crown?

Suzy, hope you got that craft room shaped up. Oh how I miss my sewing/craft room, but I am really not getting anything crafty done, no energy, hands not working, all that stuff, but I still miss it.

Julie, I am also glad the snow did not stick. I think the latest I remember snow was April, it snowed in the wee hours and was gone by 8 am. We woke the kids and let them go play outside at 2 am hehehe.

Bedtime, I am tired tonight. Hugs to each of you, with extras, till later.

Hi, Friends! Just dropping by to say Hello! Looks like a quiet day today.

Suzy, I hope you have found your craft room and will soon be able to use it.

Heidi, hope you're well! When is your trip north? Seems like it may be coming relatively soon.

Broni, I hope the _itchy woman will soon receive her just 'desserts.' I imagine work is more pleasant without her being around!

MizT, good for you for remembering everything on your shopping list! I admit to sharing your dislike of muggy humid hot days! Hopefully you'll soon see a return to lovely spring breezes with low humidity!

Sending , positive thoughts, prayers, {{{{{HUGS & JUGS}}}}}, and healing vibes!

Well Bella has improved in leaps and bounds...all over the house and me! Did I tell you in the six days before she had her stitches out she put on .6kg/1.3pounds? Amazing what fresh meat and no exercise will do.

Vent coming!

Well never a dull moment at work! She had sent more company documents to Workcover that they forwarded to us today and now the Police are involved for stealing, just wish this would end.

Hello friends, sorry I have been missing for a while. I fell out with my laptop and haven't used it for ages. I will admit to using my phone and tablet to read and occasionally posting on TOS.
Pleased to hear that Bella is doing ok after her ops. Broni that woman is a real pain in the posterior, but you know that you haven't done anything wrong and now it looks like she has broken the law with taking paperwork from the office... she will get her just rewards.
Nola, Hope Greg gets these abscesses sorted out soon.
Heidi....have you found out if you have a pregnant mare on your hands (sorry I couldn't remember her name)
Hoping everyone else is feeling less aches and pains.

We are now finally having some hot weather, though forecast is for rain and thunderstorms tomorrow.
Richard and I went to a Vintage and Steam Rally at the home of Lord and Lady McAlpine at Fawley Hill.
Old fashioned carnival rides (steam driven) hook a duck, coconut shies. Plus vintage cars, buses, fire engines and aircraft. Of course all the steam powered vehicles. Lord McAlpine's 'train set' was in use too. This is a full sized saddletank engine running on his own railway line. We were looking forward to a full day of wandering around, but it was just too hot. No shade to be had apart from in the beer marquee and no where to sit for a rest. I left Richard to wander for a little while and went back to the car. The thermometer on the car registered a temperature of 34.5c. Found out then that the aircon on the car needed recharging. Once we decided to leave we put the roof down on the car and the clouds had started to form it was lovely driving home.
Yesterday we decided to give the patio a spring clean. Got started with the pressure washer, unfortunately we didn't get very much done when it started to break down. couldn't get it to work after trying everything we could think of. Decided to buy another on, ordered it to be picked up this morning. I went out to put the bl*sted thing away and it started working again. Still picked up the new one this morning as it has a patio brush and car brush attachments with it. Will keep the other one as a spare.

Yes, Tricia.... California Chrome won the Preakness in style. He proved that he isn't just a good horse.... he's a great horse! He had control of the race from the start, and settled back by a neck to let another horse set the blistering pace. As they rounded the turn into the final stretch, he showed them what he was made of. He took the lead and kept it, with no extra urging from the jockey..... who never so much as showed him the whip. Once the race ended, he did a victory lap around the track, and wasn't even breathing hard afterwards!!! It will take a major disaster to keep him from winning the Belmont Stakes & Triple Crown.

Off to bowls soon. I am not bowling but the pennant Team I was in is now playing off in the regional finals. I am going as manager. One game this afternoon and another tomorrow.
My shoulders are quite a bit better but still ache at night. I am getting more sleep. My fingers, especially the left had are quite numb. I think most of the pain (which is only when I move the wrong way, it is not constant!)is coming from the pinched nerve in my neck.
Glad Greg is improving.
Must go as I am being picked up soon.

Greg back form GP. No need for ABs,packing or strong meds now. Just dress it daily. He is very tired after the interrupted sleepless nights, and now gone to bed after falling asleep in the lounge chair. Op is scheduled for Jul 22nd to remove the whole capsule.
Enjoy the managerial bowls game June.At least the pain is intermittent...hard to know which position is wrong though.
Heidi..California Chrome, made the news here, they also made mention that the use of some apparatus, would not be legal at the next race.
I have no idea what they were talking about but you probably will. Who knows if the news is accurate here anyway.
So you bet on the horse races?

California Chrome, like many athletes, runs with a nasal strip. He probably doesn't need it to win, but his people are superstitious. He's never lost while wearing one, so they don't want to mess with success. Any other horses are welcome to use them, too. I feel it's no different than running with leg wraps. The New York Racing commission met today and decided that the strips are legal. Chrome is allowed to run in the Belmont Stakes with it. Some of the Old Boy Network are annoyed that this horse that cost next to nothing, and whose owners haven't ''paid their dues'', are beating the pants off their million dollar horses, and they are trying to stir up controversies where none really exist. It's petty and small minded, and makes them look bad. Horses have been running with nasal strips ever since they were invented. They never complained when Cigar won with a strip on. And they haven't complained when hundreds, if not thousands of other horses have competed with them, some successfully.

Yes, I bet on the races. I won a LITTLE money betting on California Chrome to win the Preakness. He went off at 1 to 2 odds, so a person would have to bet a huge sum to win a huge sum. He was so favored that we won one dollar for every two we bet. So I handed them $2 before the race, and they gave me $3 back after the race. I'm not a gambler, so I just do minimum bets.

I have to get up early to go get the check for the Fall born calves that I took to the graded sale on Sunday. Then I get to vote in our Primary. We've got several exciting races, including 5 candidates for Sheriff (including the former mayor who was kicked out of office 3 days ago). I expect a huge turnout.

Hi, Everyone!

It's good to see more posts from more of our 'members.'

Broni, fantastic news for Bella's recovery! On that other topic, it seems the former employee is 'the gift that keeps on giving.' When will it stop? I hope karma will help everyone feel relieved/vindicated before it is all over!

June, good news that you are sleeping better and with less pain. Enjoy the regional bowls finals as manager.

Nola, sounds like good news for Greg!

Brenda, it's too bad it was so hot and no shade for a quick relax/rest.

Heidi, congrats on returning home with more money than you took! Hopefully the check you get for the fall-born calves will be a pleasant surprise!

I hope MIzT got to Walmart with her list in hand today. I know how upsetting it can be to forget something - like the carrots we didn't remember today.

Hopefully, I didn't forget anyone!

Time to be thinking about sleep. Sending positive and pleasant thoughts, prayers, {{{{{HUGS & JUGS}}}}}, healing vibes, and for everyone!

Hi all...Good to read all of the post. Nothing much from here, just getting ready to go vote. Hoping all do. Also good to hear that Greg and you June are on the mend, but I was really annoyed that 'the Itch' from outer space continues to make life miserable for you Broni. I'm sure all who have to deal with her antics will be happy to see an end to this foolish behavior.Heidi, looking forward to seeing the voting results from Kentucky....its really a big one in today's elections. Glad you had a great time at the races and were able to enjoy your day. How's your back holding up? My bowls team won today but because they lost yesterday they do not go to the state play offs. I had a nice morning sitting in the sun putting the scores up on the board.
I have another physio appointment tomorrow. Sometimes I am not sure if things are improving or getting worse. Last night I kept waking and getting cramps in my legs. I have just been reading all the comments on Easy. Lots of the regulars from years ago have been posting.

Evening all,
Still working on the craft room - years of neglect and roof leaks have made it so that I have to go through everything for damage and dirt. I'm also tossing a lot of stuff. Going through mums stuff has convinced me to get rid of dead wood, or at least have like with like so decisions are easier. It's almost done though.

Alie messed up with her math teacher again. Last time she told him he looked hot. This time she was teased for not bringing cake. She said alright alright next week I'll satisfy everyone's appetite...

June, I hope your pain levels reduce soon. At least enough so you can do the things you like to do.

Broni, I hope o read your post and it was crazy woman who stole stuff. That'll put a hole in her case!

Julie, I love hearing that rehearsing is the thing keeping you most busy because I think that is something that you love to do. At least I hope you are still enjoying it!

Hey vdV, your wings look good from here.

Heidi, the only horse race I've ever bet on was the Melbourne cup and I also place very small bets. It would take massive odds for me to win anything worth winning, but it's nice to have a horse to cheer for.

Nola, the news about Greg sounds good!

Brenda, I've had a falling out with my lap top too. It's on it's last legs so is slow and frustrating. The budget says no to a new one right now since I got me pad already. I'm not sure I want to deal with windows 8 anyway.

The Vintage rally sounds like a lot of fun. The photos were good too.

Slow day. Too hot to do anything. They say that no news is good news.

The election results were about as expected. The deposed mayor got only 222 votes for sheriff. Now we know how many blithering idiots there are in the county. The best candidate didn't get it, though. The guy who won is part of the ''Good Ol' Boy'' network.

Hello Doc Steve. Good to see you drop in. Come visit and chat whenever you can.

Heidi, even if 222 people voted for the ousted Mayor, at least he was not elected. How close was it between the good ole boy and the best candidate?

Mama, as usual I look for your posts, there is almost always a nugget of wisdom included. I got a chuckle over your invite to Suzy hehehe.

Suzy, I was thinking about Sentimental today also. Perhaps because I hear of my ex slipping away, living a way he would not want to live. It is hard to hear about someone who was very much a part of your life loosing the battle.

Oh Dear, Alie really put foot in mouth with that comment. what happened after her comment? I do understand about your finding damaged things in your craft room. When I was packing things up before moving, I found water damaged fabric, too molded to even try to salvage. Not a roof leak, a pipe had leaked in the adjoining bathroom, and unbeknown to me, water wicked up through the carpet, back under the plastic milk crates of fabric.Your comment about not wanting to leave things as your Mom did, I would have cherished going through Mom's things, but my step father just disposed of everything with no thought what it might mean to us girls to see it once again.

June, glad you enjoyed your day in the sun, and so sorry you are not seeing steady improvement. I hope things start on an upward swing soon.

My cell phone has the black screen of death. either the battery is dead or something is wrong with phone or the charger. I was unable to get down to auto to put it on a different charger, I was doing good to make it to scrabble. I should have just skipped it today, my mind was not working, my meds were not working, and I came in a distant last today. But we had fun, Mary brought Lynn some caramel salty biscotti. Lynn had been unable to find it at her grocery, but Mary found it today. I being close came to my apartment and got makings for coffee, and she opened them and shared. I was good and passed on the carbs, but enjoyed my pecan flavored coffee. Tim, the maintenance man came in asking what were we cooking. He had smelled it as soon as he got off elevator but could not identify. Said it smelled good and he does not even drink coffee hehehe.

Oh yeah, time for meds again, I hope this time they last longer, since I forgot to take on time around lunch today, they have not yet 'caught up'. Hugs to each of you, with extras.
