Hi, Everyone!
Things are crazy-busy, but in a good sort of way. D and 3 grandies from Massachusetts are visiting this week, so seeing both Ds and all grandies as much as possible.
Suzy, sounds like Daniel is typical boy.
Heidi, I hope the work on teeth is done soon and well!
Suzy, keep us posted on when and what can be done for you!
Also, thanks for the update about memorial for Mama/Ouima.
Time to head to bed. Lots of music on the agenda for tomorrow.
Sending the daily supply of {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, prayers, positive thoughts,
, and healing energy.

Anecdote: Dana has been looking for earmuffs for Tahli for ages. Not the hard plastic noise cancelling ones, soft woolly ones. Finally with winter coming on she was able to find a pair. They work brilliantly! They were able to listen to music ans sing without Tahli getting uncomfortable!! This is huge!

Greetings from Illinois, USA!
Heidi, good luck finding a new and reputable mechanic/repair person! I hope all is well other than the vacuum and lawn mower.
Suzy, that's a genius idea! I hope Tahli finds great enjoyment from music now that she has her earmuffs!
I know I haven't been here much lately, but don't think I've seen a post from MizT for a few days. I know she had some computer issues & thought she had a new or at least replacement that she was getting used to. I hope everything is OK!
June, I hope you are experiencing fewer problems with shoulder/neck, etc. and getting enough sleep. Are you able to spend some time with Laura?
I hope Broni and Bella are doing well.
Hopefully Midge is able to stay healthy in spite of sick hubby and son.
{{{HUGS}}} to all others I have forgotten to mention!
Heading to bed as soon as possible for a 5:30 alarm. Will be able to see both Ds and all grandies again tomorrow! When the opportunity presents itself, everything else gets postponed.
Sending much
, positive thoughts, prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, and healing energy for everyone!

The new mattress for the RV is ready to be picked up! I'll get it when I pick up the vacuum cleaner. It's supposed to be ready before noon tomorrow. The RV place and the vacuum repair place are only a few blocks away from each other. The lawn mower will be ready early next week. I found a great repair shop. Recommended by a LOT of people I respect.

The old(er) mattress has now gone to a good home. My friend Anita really wanted it for the converted tack room in her horse trailer. It fits perfectly in the area above the gooseneck hitch, and will make a great sleeping area for the kids when they go to 4H horse shows. Anita is a 4H horse club leader.

Yes Julie - MizT hasn't been here for a while. Hope all is well. Anyone know if she has been on TOS ? Let us know when you get to see the specialist Suzy. You are so busy Julie - let us know what you are up to. Hope you too June are over your rotten bug and shoulder. Always good to rehome something you don't need anymore Heidi. Not much happening here - hubby and son almost o.k. now. No. 2 son flew to Bali on Wed. Was going with some friends to a wedding but that was called off and he decided he may as well still go. He will probably end up in Thailand as he doesn't really like the tourist places. Daughter's new rescue dog leapt the gate yesterday and went on a long run around the streets of Melbourne being chased by 2 policemen, daughter, bf and 2 friends.Dog actually somehow found it's way back home and the poor thing had no pads left and had surgery last night. Police were good when they realised they had just got it from the pound. Very expensive vet bill - $800. Hard on uni students.
I do miss Mamacita's calm and peace and think of her especially today.

It's been about a week since MizT has been on the other site too. I hope she's just having computer trouble.
Heidi, glad things are being fixed instead of breaking now.
I have no idea what no surgical solution means. I'll find out in a month or so. I'm trying to be all zen about it. Mamacita would know exactly what to say. I miss her.
Midge, when I was a Uni student the only time I would have had $800 was after working for the summer and before buying the text books I needed for the year.

Suzy, my daughter goes to uni 5 days and works 2 nights(6pm-4am - Fri & Sat) and every 2nd Sun. 1pm-8pm, managing a bar in Richmond. Really tough but she is very independent. I still sling her petrol money most weeks and we pay car rego and insurance and the occasional emergency shortfall in rent. She also loves retro clothes so the op shops are perfect for her (also my wardrobe). I would love her to live at home but hubby will not accept the bf until she is wearing a ring. On the other hand, he is all for his sons living with a partner. Grrrr

Heidi, how nice that the old mattress can be used by someone else! If only more of us could repurpose, rather than trash items.
Midge, I'm glad to hear that hubby and son are improving! I hope Son #2 enjoys Bali/Thailand. Sorry to hear about the huge vet bill for your D's dog. Poor thing! (Well, both of them!) Has no one ever heard that many dogs will only keep running if being chased. I hope pup's recovery goes well and quickly!
And I'm off to bed. Sending all the usual {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, prayers, positive thoughts, healing energy, and

OOPS, didn't see that Suzy had posted and Midge had posted again.
Suzy, it would be so much easier for you to wait for your appointment if the doctor had clarified a bit more! Such a very frustrating time!
Midge, sorry your D must live up to tougher standards than her brothers. Her finances would be easier if she could live at home. On the other hand, she is developing more independence.
Good Night, All!

We brought Laura back from Belinda's place yesterday. Today I took her to the movies and we saw Big Fat Greek wedding #2. I thought #1 was much better. Laura's father will pick her up tomorrow and back to school on Tuesday.
My cough is much better and I am sleeping at night.
Suzy, I was concerned when you said surgery was not an option. Maybe because they would have to take you off blood thinners to operate but if they do that you would probably have another stroke. Whatever I do hope that they are able to sort something out. remember if you want to se specialists in the city there is always a bed here for you and hubby (we would even look after Gizmo!)

Greetings friends. I did not realize it had been so long since I was here last. Trying to catch up on the posts, have got to the end of page 212. I blame my new computer, it now takes forever to get here, each page I have toopen taking minuets to open. I have to click it and go do something else till it will open, that long, and about 3 times. sometimes I think I forget to come back.
My compter got hijacked last night, would not let me close Firefox, huge warning signs, call a 'certified tech' message at their number. I called my sister and BIL instead, he had to sign into my computer remote to clear it. At least I KNEW now to call the phone number listed.
Midge, I have not yet learned how to get pictures from my new phone to the computer to send. I will work on that when I have time. Only thing I can do is send them as a text message for the time being. Glad to hear you are doing better, no more 5 hour trips for dialysis.
Suzy, I hope your neurologist gets you seen again soonest. Do let us know.
Heidi, too many things happening at once for you. NO MORE, enough, I declare it over. Now hope that works hehehe.
June, that cough sounds terrible, I am glad it is a bit better and you got 6 hours sleep straight. I hope you enjoyed having Laura visit for a bit.
Suzy, funny story about Daniel.
Julie, you are busy busy, but not sharing with us what is keeping you so occupied. We would like to hear about your life if you have time to share.
OK, closing this and will try to turn the page and get back to you. Hugs for now.

Suzy, wonderful that the earmuffs work to muffle the sound somewhat for T. Whose idea was that? suggested to you, or something one of you figured out? Either way I am glad it worked for her.
OOOPS, that should be I knew NOT to phone the number listed on the warning.
Running out of time, will have to come back later. Hugs to each of you, with extras, till later.

The repaired vacuum cleaner is home. It was still under full warranty so it cost me nothing except for the price of a new beater bar, which was cheap.

Home after spending a night in Wollongong with Alie. We took them out for Mexican for dinner last night and Korean for lunch today. Expensive, but we can't get either here, decent at least. We also helped them buy a fridge and a TV. The TV they chose cost more than twice as much as the fridge, which they laughed about being typical for their age. They wanted to buy them on a 5 year interest free deal, but couldn't qualify for the finance. He earns 50k a year, but I suspect they thought he was lying since he's only 19. We already had a line of credit set up from previous purchases so got them for them. They'll pay us back. We did the same for Dana when she needed a fridge.

I'm leaving in 45 minutes to go to a concert with some friends. The group performing is Sawyer Brown. I enjoy them, but my friends are huge fans. I enjoy the road trip most of all.
The new mattress ended up being the wrong size!!! I had ordered a SHORT Queen and they delivered a STANDARD Queen. The mattress hangs out over the end of the bed by 5 inches, taking up too much of my overly limited space. Plus, my short queen sheets don't fit it. The RV dealership will be talking to the RV mattress company on Monday to get the correct one shipped to me... at their cost... as quickly as possible.

HI Everyone, It again took forever for me to get here. I need to find a shorter route here. Cannot find how to book mark on this windows 10, know there should be a way. OK, I have saved, bookmark, but now where do I FIND it
Heidi, hope you enjoy your concert, and also soon get that mattress problem solved. The bed being 5 inches longer would leave too little room for getting around the bed!
I had a busy day today. today was the biggest fund raiser Episcopal place puts on, the gumbo Gala. There were 30 something entrants cooking up different recipes of Gumbo, vieing for a prize and bragging rights. Lots of other things on offer, too, for additional price, but all the gumbo you wanted for FREE with price of admission. I think I sampled about 8 different kinds, some very spicy, some mild, most with seafood, but one very good one chicken and sausage made my my nephew. Daughter Joy helped serve at thier booth, was good to see them today. The company he works for sponsored Greg and his gumbo, it was very good! First year for them to cook, first year for me to visit. Wonderful sunny day with a nice breeze, and i enjoyed the day very much.
Came home by a bit after 2 pm, had a nap, then out to work in the garden some. I am transplanting woods violets, from where they have come up outside the flower bed. they have naturalized on 2 of the 3 sides of the beds, around perimeter of the walled garden space. I am starting them on the third space. If they survive and bloom next year, they will seed themselves on that third side. I love plants that just volunteer and need no work.
Tired now, pulled some weeds, picked up some limbs and sticks blown down by our last t storm. So I will say good night, sweet dreams to all, and catch you again soon. Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Hi to All! No time to read or comment, as I'm off to bed with an early alarm in the morning. (We will take D and 3 grandies to the airport for their return home. D ran the Boston Marathon last Monday, then they flew here on Tuesday to help younger D with her baby. We had been the designated baby-sitters the previous week.) MAYBE we will return to 'normal,' whatever that is, in the coming week.
So nice to see posts from Suzy, Heidi, and MizT today. Take care, Everyone, and feel free to share the {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, healing energy,

A little levity...
It's a Guy Thang.
Curious when I found two black-and-white negatives in a drawer, I had them made into prints. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were of a younger, slimmer me, taken on one of my first dates with my husband.
When I showed him the photos, his face lit up. 'Wow, look at that!' he said with appreciation. 'It's my old Plymouth!'

DORA, thanks for the link. I did find how to bookmark the site, but it still takes forever for the page to load. I am not sure what is going on with this. Cute joke, thanks for sharing with us.
Heidi, how was the concert?
Suzy, I am sure Allie appreciates your help getting the fridge and TV. To bad her SO did not have proof of his income to apply for the credit on those. Mom and Dad to the rescue, though.
Julie, I hope your busy life gets back to normal this next week. How you find time to squeeze in babysitting chores in your overcrowded schedule is beyond me.
This shall be a busy week, leading up to the day long rejuvenation of Rebecca's Garden here. I have the new plants, I now need to order the compost and mulch I need for soil improvement. Also need to find someone to plan and prepare lunch for the volunteers who will be here. Probably hotdogs on the grill, an easy way to feed a crowd. Loraine and I made 'cool scarves' for everyone, those water absorbing granule filled scarves that can make you feel cooler.
Today was grocery shopping day for me, a chore I hate, cause no matter how well I feel when I leave, I will be hurting when I get home. I was very lucky today, I got good parking spaces everywhere I went, got an electric cart on a busy day, and found a parking place in the lot here when I returned. Batting 1000, can't do better than that.

The concert was fun. Great company, and good music. My only complaint was they gave the identical performance as last year... same songs, same dialog, same jokes, and all in the same order.. And there is no excuse for it since they've been around for 34 years with LOTS of albums and hit songs.

Hi, Everyone! Heading to bed, as I'm too tired to read or type. It's much later than I thought. Transcribing notes from the video of my last week hour-long cello lesson took almost 2.5 hours, as there was a LOT of information, advice, suggestions and I often had to rewind & replay several times to get the information correct.

Up for intermission, it is 3 am here and I cannot get back to sleep. Repeat sleeping pill taken, waiting for it to work. I have a lot to do tomorrow, need my sleep tonight.
Today I spent 2 hours watering everything, including the in ground roses and impatiens. then ordered online all the compost and some of the mulch we will need, for pick up at the store. I waited till the sent the ready for pick up e mail, and drove over to get it. NOPE, it had not yet been pulled, drats. so I had to stand around waiting, and standing is hard for me. then had to move vehicle, i was parked in the normal oading zone, but they wanted to load from the garden shop. when I get the 'how did we do' e mail this time, I shall let them know. the clerk told me they are now doing that, sending out the e mail before items have been pulled from stock, not a fan of that. My car smells now, the mulch has a really strong pine smell, at least i think it is the mulch. I am not unloading till Thursday, would mean moving twice, as I have no space to leave it out front where we shall use it, even if I did would not trust it to still be there Thursday. Locked in my mini van is the best place for it for now.
Stooped at wall mart for strawberries and slaw that were not available at Aldies yesterday, Strawberries were good, had for desert twice, yummy] PL getting s;ee[u, making more mistakes than correct works, time to get back to bed. Hugs to each of you. BTW, I can get here with only one lick, but still have to wait for page to load. One wait is better then the former 5 waits.
