My #1 Son was in the Monteray Area last year in August. Went with his boss to San Diego for a conference. They drove up to LA, then up the Coast Road to Monteray and back to LA, before flying back to Australia. He spend a total of 10 days in USA.

Sounds like we think alike when it comes to the Harry Potter series. I decided to refresh my memory begining with book one and moving through to book five where I left off. I however have been cheating, I watched the first three movies with plans on watching the forth as well, maybe even number five too. I haven't even cracked the covers on six and seven yet so those will be all new for me. Have you read the whole series or are you still in the process?

Monterey Bay looks like a beautiful place, I really enjoyed your pictures. I have been wanting to travel around the country and of course California is on my list of places to see, how long were you in California? How was it?

I have family on the western coast myself and really must schedule a visit and take the time to see the area. Thou I don't have any one in California I do have family in Hawaii, Seattle and Oregon so I have lots of options. I've never been to visit any of them on the west coast so every choice would bring me new areas to see and enjoy. Of course one of the benefits to that would be having someone familiar with the area to take me to the must see spots. Much like your sister was able to do for you.

Still haven't opened those Harry Potter books, things have just been so crazy around here. Hopefully soon. Take care.

I'm baa-aaaaacckk!!!! Well, my house was broken into in October (thankfully I was not at home). And my laptop and digital camera were stolen. The police were able to recover my camera and my spare memory card, but they never found my laptop. :( But my family is awesome and I got some money for Christmas, so now I have a new toy!! But it is still going to be a week before I get my internet turned on at home!! Guess I've lasted this long, I can wait a few more days!!! Thanks for all of the warm holiday wishes. I really have missed you all. And doing my sudoku puzzles on paper isn't nearly as rewarding...no pics as a prize and no one with which to share my record speed on a puzzle (or frustration over the difficulty). Not to mention keeping up with how everyone is doing. Anyway, it's glad to be back. Hope you are all doing well. I'll try to get back in the swing of things in the next week or two.

Stephanie, your youtube was a hoot! And as soon as I get back on my chair again, I would like to welcome you to our sudoku family. You are crazy and that qualification makes you one of us! We do have a lot of fun together! I leave behind California and some Leonidas !

I've go a myspace account also. I think there are more pictures there of the horses and the ferrets. My middle son got me hooked on them. He bought one for his girlfriend, but he spent more time with it. Then they split and she gave it away - not to him, obviously. He was in Iraq at the time. My two girls keep me laughing all the time.
