Hi Anne, thanks for the birthday wishes. The last 25 months have been a challenge. Two successful corneal transplants, one not so. A torn cornea. No driving for two years together with vision that does not have the last little bit of acuity, so no reading etc. I'm almost there. Should be doing puzzles again soon. Thanks agaun.

Hello Anne, loved seeing your photos.
I love seeing the balloons, when we stay at my brothers place at Glasshouse Mountain two balloons come over his house every morning, unless it's too windy.
Cheers Amelia.

Hi, Anne - thanks for answering all my questions scattered throughout your hot air balloon photos - I wasn't aware of how many until I began reading your replies. We had friends who did ballooning ...which surely wasn't a solo sport - it took many willing helpers for lift off as well as to follow & locate where they landed to help collect all the paraphernalia after a flight!

It was a wonderful birthday gift!

Hi Anne, I know what you mean about not being closer for cuddles. Even though Avery is closer than your Ario,I don't see her as much as the other little ones. I'll see if I can post a photo of my two youngest great granddaughters on my page.
Hope you can get the computer to behave itself soon.

I had noticed your absence, but we've been gone so I decided I'd likely missed some day's page of comments & you'd announced another exotic escape/trip/adventure - maybe just a return trip to rock that new great grand-baby! Nice to see you back saying 'Goodnight, all'!

Hi Anne
Yep, that was the trip. One of the best things I've done. And visited Albany too and the old Whaling Station, but the whale calling made me too upset to see it all. Big sook huh?

The Gibbs River Road was too rough in 1998 for my road bike so stuck to Route 1 through the Kimberley.
I hoped to have been there by now but my kidneys went AWL two years back and the recovery process is a long one. I dodged dialysis but too old for a transplant.

Thx Anne. Got a call from the recovery room nurse saying she's out of surgery, but not yet awake. It was her impression the surgery was a success.

Because of the shelter in place rules, hospitals aren't allowing visitors. Frustrating, but we're talking on the phone and texting. So far, recovery isn't being smooth, but apparently, the surgery was successful.

Hi Anne,
Well the virus is a little closer. A case has shopped in my local Super market in Bendigo in the past week. I was there about 10 days ago.

I have little faith in the Daniel Andrews State govt. they have stuffed up constantly so far so no confidence their latest measures are the best choices.. but will comply as I don’t like anarchy.

Hate wearing a mask. Live in a house surrounded by trees.. so reasonably pleasant to be at home.

Enjoy WA. A good state to be.

Hello, Anne,
You have wonderful, beautiful pictures here!
Thank you for the information on the personal page (yes, I did not realize after login, though read about it in the initial page of the site).
I also like the https (secure) feature of the site.
I need to get acquainted with the way people communicate on Sudoku. The notation (Eureka and nice loop notation) I understand well, but I've seen things like 'basics to 24', 'singles to 81'. Basics, singles I understand but the 'to xx' part is the one new to me. I'd guess it means basics moves from move 1 to 24 and in the other case, after some move, only singles up to move 81. I like that people seem to use rows (top to bottom?) from 'a' to 'i' and columns (left to right) from 1 to 9, right? It is a very elegant notation (similar to the one used in chess). Let me stop here to avoid asking too much.
I have to figure it out by looking around in the site.
Many thanks!
Regards,
jco

Hello, Anne,

Just saw Steve tips on Sudoku and realized the issue on notation (really like in chess).
Forgot to mention how nice it feels visiting your personal page!
Have a nice day,

Anne, Thanks for my Birthday Wishes - this year I've decided it is not a birthday DAY, but a SEASON ... I've been celebrating for quite some time now & will continue to do so whenever I have the opportunity - who knows what this upcoming year will bring; at this point, I've decided to stay safe but still enjoy each day as it arrives!

Thanks for the birthday wishes Anne! Unfortunately I'm still in quarantine so can't get out to celebrate, but my eldest son is staying with me at the moment (he's the reason I'm in quarantine) so that'll help. I even get to bake my own birthday cake 😊

Hi Anne, Thanks for the welcome note you left on my new page. I was only in Australia once and was surprised by how much I liked it. If it weren't so far away from all my family and friends, I am sure I would want to move to Sydney. There are probably lots of other wonderful places too, but as I was there on a business trip for less than two weeks, I never had time to find them. The thing I liked best about Australia was how nice and friendly all the people were. Maybe some day I will get back.
Brian.
