Ian, this is a wonderful piece of art/music. Tommy Emmanuel uses every part of his guitar except his strap to make a beautiful piece of sound. Thanks for steering me to it!

Enjoyed your photos - remember working many of them as jigsaws. This week the Athabaska Falls photo made a great jigsaw = give it a try.

Hi Ian. Again just popping in to see your photos. You will soon have more beautiful photos posted than most other SM's combined. I really like the ''Squark of Lorikeets'' photo. Did you submit it to the site? Cheers my friend!

Ian - I noticed that you posted a comment on the pie picture. The pictured pie was auctioned off at a church bake sale for $80 (included the blue pyrex pie plate and the recipe). The recipe is on page 1 of the recipe file if your interested.

Hi Ian, I was just poking around looking at some of the great photos taken by sudokuists and have always enjoyed yours when they come up with the puzzles.
I also like taking unusual angles but when I got home last week and looked at the photos I wondered why I had taken so many church spires!!! I was especially intrigued by the Passa Bulka ones as I was there when it 'came ashore' and it came in a lot further after I took my photos. (in fact I just removed them from my page today) Also yours were much clearer as I took mine in the wind and rain.
Sorry I did not have time to look up the 'koala' site you suggested this morning as I was running late to go out. I should have done so before I put my 2 bob's worth in.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful photography with us all.

Hi Ian. Just opened the Medium sudoku puzzle & saw your picture of Estes Pk, great picture. I had a 'no comment was' etc under my picture. But when I went back to the sudoku page to comment on your's everyone had recognized it too. It's a long time since it was last on. Did you get a comment when you opened the puzzle? Yesterday I didn't get a comment for one puzzle but some other people did, so I'm just checking to see if this is regular or one a off!

Ian, I enjoyed your picture of Estes Park. I was there about two weeks ago and fell in love with it. I refuse to live anywhere there is snow, but will definitely visit again. Check out my flickr page and tell me what you think. I have some pictures from my vacation on there.

Hello Ian,

Thank you for visiting my page. It is always nice to meet someone new. It seems as though we have the love of travel in common. The world is such an interesting place!!

I enjoyed your photos. You have an amazing eye and your pictures are stunning. I especially enjoyed the ones of Sydney, as I'll be there for the first time in less than two weeks.

Just one question. What, exactly, is Vegemite?

Safe travels on your upcoming journey.

Ian, it was actually your YouTube that prompted my question. I've always wondered. It sounds like it would put hair on your chest, for sure... That being said, if I can mix it with butter I'd probably love it. I'll give it a try!

Cheers.

Hi Ian, all my family are fine. in the Circular Head area There are low laying areas that are pron to some flooding. There was a bridge that was washed away See photos in my gallery. We had some very nasty winds .Blow trees over power lines, blow a large sliding door onto the buildings'
[rotary dairy ]roof.

Perhaps the greatest contribution of The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem was to go beyond The Rose of Tralee, Danny Boy (author, an English lawyer, Frederic Edward Weatherley), and Galway Bay (author unknown/traditional/disputed, depending on source) as the only ''Irish'' music the rest of the world ever heard. They were also the friendliest performers I ever encountered, frequently announcing to the crowd their post-show destination, where a much less formal concert would continue several more hours--and all were welcome to join in the singing.

Great idea with the balloon, Ian. I'll remember it when next I have bird nesting problems! In our previos place we problems with those horrid Indian Mynas nesting on the columns of the front verandah. One time my husband opened the meter box door & discovered the box full of grass & leaves! Very dangerous! he made a top for the box & I put flower pots (upside down) between the columns!

Thank you Ian for the lovely birthday wishes. Yes I am definitely a fellow cat lover. I used to breed and show my Burmese cats. I love all cats and I cannot ever remember a time in my life when I have not had a cat or two. I am glad you enjoy the photos. Some of them are many many years old and I just scanned them for flickr but I am getting back into enjoying taking photos again. My sister-in-law has paid for a course in Photoshop for my birthday present as my brother gave me the program not about a week ago. Still am clueless about how to use it. Speak to you again soon.
PS have a piece of cake and a drink and think of me today.

Gday Ian, its been ages since I last visited. Photography is obviously very important to you and your family. Your wife's photo of the Russian dancers is magnificent and your son's shot of the QE2 docking is spectacular. I love the way you see an opportunity wherever you are.
I have just taken up the camera myself and took some of the photos on my page. Since the inclusion of Gath's photo gallery toy, I have loved grabbing the camera with the view to putting new pics on my page. Please feel free to drop in any time. Take a walk around my garden, find a seat in the sun and meet my family. Love to see you there.

Hi Ian. Since you're away, I decided to come by and have a little fun, Raided the fridge (where is the Canadian beer) and demolished your left-overs. Think I'll have a nap now, and hope you don't mind the bed not being made when you get home. What's for breakfast?

Angie just told me about the party. I've got a few dozen rolls of ducktape. Who wants to be first to get taped to the wall? I'll have a double scotch strait up. Somebody grab the dishwashing soap and wet down the back hallway and we'll have a butt slide contest. This is bringing back all sorts of memories from the old frat days of Tappa Kega Day. Where do you want the keg?
