Hi Kate - just wanted to stop by to thank you for posting in my gallery. I'm just discovering this feature (hence the confused monkey) and am enjoying doing the same in other's galleries. As always, I love your photos!

Thank you, Kate, for your kind comments about my pix. To answer your questions:
The waterfalls were all in the Finger lakes area of western New York state.
The picture of the geese was really pure luck. I was concentrating on the sunset/rain pic, heard some honking, and looked up and shot.
Rockport, Massachusetts, is a photographer's dream. Quaint little village with a beautiful harbor. The lobster fishermen in the NE US each have their own unique trap markers. They are quite colo(u)rful.
The sun star was again, pure luck.
Thanks again.

Omigod, omigod! The pictures were unbelieveable!!!! You are soooo lucky to have these kind of birds gracing your area!!! When and please note I said when!!! I go to Australia my camera will be chained to my hands ready to shoot at will! The birds alone would be worth the trip! But the friends to visit would be priceless!

Hi Kate! Glad you enjoyed your birthday celebrations at Wagga Wagga & are safely home again. I took a look at your latest set of pictures. None of the birthday people so they must be private like the ones from the other party you went to. I sure did love the beautiful camellias, though! Thanks for your nice comments on my most recent pics. I think there are some of us who enjoy looking at photos more than others or maybe just have more time!! Lately I find myself looking more than typing - much easier on the brain & the fingers Take care. Have a good weekend.

Hello Kate - Thanks for stopping by! My picture doesn't do the bridge justice! It is just so beautiful up there. It is about 4 hours north of my house. I love to go up there and see the water. Lake Michigan is on the left side of the bridge and Lake Huron is on the right side. This was the first time we went more than an hour on "Black Beauty." My husband bought this motorcycle last Fall. It is a 1993 model. The one we usually ride is a 1977 model so we have come up in the world! It was fun. Thanks for stopping!

Hi, Kate!

Regarding the "mystery" tennis player, I'll bet it was Guillermo Vilas!

My dream is one year to attend all four Grand Slams! I've never been to any of them, but I've been to several smaller events. This year, we went to the women's clay court tournament at Amelia Island, Florida (only about and hour south of us) and got to see Maria Sharpova, Lindsay davenport and many others. I also went to one of the "Masters" tournaments when we lived in Richmond, VA and saw Jimmy Conners, John Lloyd and tons of other "oldies but goodies". I got to meet Jimmy and John in person, and they were very gracious and lots of fun! If you care to give me your e-mail address, I'll send you a fun photo taken of Jimmy, John, a friend of mine and moi!

Well, I'll off for a bike ride now. It's an incredibly gorgeous morning!

Cheers!
Jane

PS: So that I can start fantasizing about setting up our dream tennis match, which side do you prefer to play? (I'm a "let court" person myself!)

Perhaps the pacemaker delay is a good thing Kate, then the party in Dubbo can't take place until your Dad has had a little recovery time, even better, have a bigger party next year when he is 85. As for letting off steam...I used to do it to my sister in Adelaide all the time when I was looking after Mum at home. I used to send screams via email - Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh! and my sister understood perfectly!

Hi Kate - Just called in to thank you for the birthday wishes you left for my brother yesterday. He'll be embarrassed that I told anyone but would definately want me to thank you
Did your Dad enjoy his cake yesterday? I hope all goes well with the pacemaker.
BTW - thanks for Arlo Guthrie - what a blast from the past and, appropriately, my bro just loved him!!

Hello Kate...thanks for dropping by...you're my first visitor in about 4 months. I enjoyed your photos...I was in Triabunna a couple of weeks ago...it hasn't changed! Maria Island's outline is visible in the background of the shot and is one of my favourite fishing haunts. The season is about to start again soon and I'm looking forward to getting out on the water. Thanks again for your visit.
