I guess that while we swelter in Darwin you could well be sweltering in Victoria but whatever and where ever, may it be a lovely celebration for you.


Here’s the traditional

LEMON CORDIAL
Ingredients:
Juice of 7 large lemons
Grated rind of 5 large lemons
1 kg sugar
1.25 litres of water
25g citric acid
Method:
1.In a large pan, boil up sugar, water, grated peel and citric acid.
2.Take off and add juice, If preferred, this may be strained.
3.Bottle whilst still hot into clean, sterilised (in oven) bottles

Mix it with gin and soda if you want an alcoholic drink.

Oh, Col, I was so touched that you thought of me after celebrating your grandma's birthday & left me a message on my page. 97 years old - God bless her. Is that her with your son in the pic in your gallery? I can't believe I have "known" you for over four years now! I still miss the good old days of early Sudoku before things got so complicated. (Shhh, better not let some people hear me say that!) I don't spend nearly as much time there as I used to, but I still can't tear myself completely away. Col, just happened to notice that the 14th comment on my first page was from you about your grandma's 94th birthday! I found Sudoku in the fall of 2005, but I guess we didn't get our own pages until 2006? Judy from Bendigo was also born on Dec. 4, & I was pleased to get a greeting from her this year, too. Please tell your grandma I wish her a happy belated birthday & will try to be on time for her 98th birthday next year!
