Drama here this morning. Teenage GS refuses to go to school (again) Not easy for a gentle hearted boy who expects himself to be macho.

houses on stilts are common on the bayou and becoming more common in the flood zone of southern louisiana (thanks to hurricane surge), this house could easily be here in southern LA.

I'm home sick today. #1 son has given me a version of his tonsilitis. They took one look at work yesterday and pointed me towards the door saying not to come back until I was better.
I've been to the doctor for the antibiotics, so I just thought I would do some catching up on the archives.

When the horoscopes were stuck mine kept telling me there was an uneasy air around my pets.
My poor little bloke had a growth on his leg that didn't go away. He was operated on last week and we spent two days with him trying to remove the bandages and hitting us and everything else with the collar they put on to stop him removing the bandages. After we were all bruised around the shins from the collar, we decided we'd had enough and removed the collar and bandages.
The results from the biopsy were phoned through yesterday. It's all good news - a benign tumor. The worst case scenario for him was to have his leg amputated. I couldn't even think about it without getting teary.

Time is running out for the Eagles.... Washington has played them in a typically tough manner...we needed to win, we should have won, the talent perhaps is over rated, we would've, shouldve but we didn't....Kathy and Cyndie....your team was the better of the two when it counted....Congratulations! Washington beats the Eagles 20-15!

Joke for today:

"Give me a sentence about a public servant," said a teacher. The small boy wrote: "The fireman came down the ladder pregnant."

The teacher took the lad aside to correct him. "Don't you know what pregnant means?" she asked.

"Sure," said the young boy confidently. "Means carrying a child."

CG - can you send Mamacita a Molson's. She may need something stronger - a shot or two of Good Irish Whiskey - for a Boiler Maker. Oh that is for a Steelers fan. What do you give an Eagles fan?

The only thing I can think of for this is & maybe a Molsons.

Living Will

While I was watching the final round of the Masters this weekend, my wife and I got into a conversation about life and death, and the need for living wills.

During the course of the conversation I told her that I never wanted to exist in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and taking fluids from a bottle.

She got up, unplugged the TV and threw out all my beer.
