Good morning one and all. Baa Baa no, Denny. I had one of the best sleeps ever last night.

Ran pre-Thanksgiving errands today - not as busy as I thought it would be. Happy Thanksgiving to all who will be participating in the US holiday! We're nixing the turkey & having pork tenderloin & Kendra's favorite green bean casserole (she's visiting for a while, working remotely here.
So there are just the 2 of us this year, so the menu is rather limited to our favorite things!
What are the favorites in YOUR menu ???

I am expected to arrive with cranberry sauce, cut up pineapple, and a pumpkin spice cake. Someone else brings both apple and pumpkin pies, so we are all right with the Thanksgiving requirements! Vegetables are also someone else's department - she usually brings delicious baked brussels sprouts and a salad.

My favorite side is mashed potatoes (with 'stuff'), but green bean casserole is a close second. I like the dark meat, because the white meat is too often overcooked, which makes it dry and stringy. For the last several years, we've had Thanksgiving dinner together with my ex and her husband, who has been my best friend for many years. Up until this year, they've prepared the meal, with us helping out with sides, gravy, desert or whatever. This year, we're putting the meal on at our house. I hope it goes well. I'll let you know if it did in a few days.
