The boy is sleeping on his bed, in his room, the bed his brother slept in is on it's way to Melbourne ... I am keeping the newer of the two King Single Beds!
His suitcase is half packed,
He still has stuff to pack in boxes that is staying here, for mum and dad to store and look after ~ till He retrieves the boxes, whether He wants them or not, at the time !!

I watched one of those Hoarders shows today, scared the living daylights out of me!
Luckily we have just had a council hard waste collection and we made good use of it, getting rid of a lot of big items and also a lot of the girls junk! They have bagged it up and put it into the spare bedroom and this was our big chance to get rid of it all in one go. Very satisfying!

Morning friends, a much better night's sleep last night! Still early here, so I am thinking of going back to bed. Yep, I thought and thought and can find noi compelling reason to stay up this morning. Later friends and hugs to each of you!

Good Morning All...
Nothing much going on here...just took Jazz to get his beauty treatment and need to use the swishy thing so am wasting time or perhaps just following Tami's code there...
Have a wonderful day/night where ever you may be.
Peace.

Another awful night with Hollie. She spent the night laying next to me compulsively barking in a whisper. She's still at it. I'm having to give her water with a large syringe to make sure she gets some. I think I'll have to call the Vet clinic soon.

Oh Heidi...I do hope that Hollie can find some peace...this does not sound good and certainly doesn't help that you have continued to try everything seemingly to no avail...fingers crossed.
Reading about the need to declutter(and who among us doesn't need to) I read this story of a 60 yr old granny who hoards dolls...about 50,000 I think and has so many that she has run out of room in her house and creating much concern for her mental stability..this last paragraph speaks to how many in the general population are affected by hoarding, and I thought it interesting....
Although cases like Phyllis are on the extreme side of the spectrum, Chasson says compulsive hoarding, which is related to obsessive-compulsive disorder, affects approximately 1 in 25 people.

"But this may be an underestimate since hoarding occurs in varying degrees in the general population. Some people experience minor or no hoarding tendencies, while others experience extreme versions," he said. "Television shows depict the very extreme cases because the mountainous clutter and unusual interests in objects, like dolls, makes for enticing TV programming. Not all individuals with hoarding are as severe as the cases shown on television shows."
So for those of us who watch and are scared by the shows...take heart...lol...

Afternoon all.

It has been storming off and on, so I went for a nap. I did not have a good sleep last night. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Heidi, please give Hollie a hug and kiss and pet from me.

It's OK, Theresa. I'm not very communicative today. My days are always a waste if dogs keep me from sleeping at night.

Theresa, stop breaking the sight. Hope you get a better night sleep tonight.
Heidi, hope you get a better night sleep. Go thoughts going out to Hollie.
Rolanda, I still have stuff stored in my bedroom at my parents house. Some day I will clean it out. I have been saying that for about 20 years. I guess I will clean when they are ready to move.

Okay, a vent is coming. I ran to the store across the street to pick up some last minute items for the luncheon after the wedding - sugar, tea, etc. When I got out of the store it started to rain. I stood and waited 5 minutes for the traffic to slow down enough that I could cross. People are driving by looking at me because I look like a drowned rat, as they rush headlong to the stop sign. Seriously, one of them couldn't have stopped to let me cross???? Okay, vent over. I think. Grrrrr.

Good Night friends, time for me to get to bed. Three long days in a row left me pooped!

The ENT said no obvious sign of active cancer, but " since we do not mess around with this" taking him to same day surgery for biopsy. We are trying to get this scheduled for Monday, if all the ducks can be lined up in a row. I spent the late afternoon trying to get the financial aide people to extend our coverage with them, it had expired just June 16. Hoopefully doc can get the necessary papers to them tomorrow (thank goodness for fax machines) so it can be a go.

So, need fingers continued to be crossed, please, that we can get this scheduled and paid for, and find out for sure.

I got to have a look when he scoped, camera was very clear today. Before there was a lesion, an open wound, now just a bump of pink healthy skin. Just have to see what is under the skin with the biopsy.

Hugs to each of you, till tomorrow.

Morning all.

MizT, {{{HUGS}}}

Julie, whoever said that things slow down in life when you retire or get close to retirement must have been from another planet. Leisure time, what is that????

Take care Broni.

Busy day today finishing up stuff for the wedding luncheon tomorrow, getting clothes ready, and on and on.

Heidi, we're here for you. Big hugs to you.

Home again and the three days went well. Shared the driving with hubby so that made it easier.
Weather was great and not too cold. Plenty of snow for Laura to play. We did build a small snowman and she had a toboggan ride down a slope.
We did get the ski lift to the top of Thredbo and it was a bit windy and cold in one section' However we were able to have a hot chocolate and pancakes at the top.
my friend travelled well. She is so much better with the fluid removed from the heart and lungs. She cannot walk any distance or go up steps. Needs some help getting dressed and the wound where the drain was is still weeping at times, but it is lymphatic fluid with nowhere else to go.

MizT, good news about Al although could have been just a bit better. I do hope it is just scar tissue and the biopsy is negative. Also hope all your tests come back 'good'.
Tired tonight as I have been sleeping in a bunk bed (bottom). Friend needed the 'big' bed as she has to be propped up to sleep.

June, glad to hear you and your friend had a good trip. Laura got to do stuff I don't remember doing. Last time I lived where it snowed I was 4. Then we moved to Florida and no more snow.
Tricia, good thoughts and hugs going out to you. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed that things work out quickly.
Theresa, hoping for all the best with the wedding tomorrow. I am sure it will be fabulous. Hopefully you will be able to post pictures.
Heidi, thoughts with you, also.
Julie, get your rest and come back soon.

She's hanging on still. And still getting some enjoyment out of life. For instance, at 3 am she decided that we had to have a petting and loving session. For half an hour. While she wagged her tail.

Thanks for letting me know, Heidi. Dogs give such unconditional love, no matter what. I miss having a dog. When the time comes for us to get one, I will definitely go to a rescue and it won't matter to me how old the dog is.

Cleaning and cutting veggies for the veggie platter for tomorrow. Carrots, celery, broccoli, mushrooms, green peppers and red peppers. I still have to make squares (no bake), but it is so humid here I don't want to turn the stove on. I am just taking a break ... hmmm, there's a cup of coffee left.

Today we're working on getting the plumbing hooked up in the Bunk House. The previous owner had put in new taps in the kitchen, and hadn't gotten them hooked up yet. I can't have the water turned on until that's done, or we'd flood the place. The electricity won't be turned on until Monday morning. After that, Robert can move in. I told him he can start moving his stuff over there already. I've given him a key.

I need to drive up to the power company office to sign some paperwork. It worked out OK because I just got a phone call that IH hasn't paid the electric bill again, and they're gonna turn ours off in just over 2 1/2 hours if it isn't paid.

I am glad you found out about power before they turned it off. Gil up to his usual, eh? Good that Hollie is still up to a good tail wagging petting session. Not sure I could have complied at 3 qm

June, know you enjoyed being back in your own bed after a bunk bed. I do hope everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Happy to hear that friend made the trip OK. Hugs to all of you.

Theresa, I am like you, I tolerate snow. Of course it might help if I were properly fitted out for snow weather. No boots, no paterproff coats here and our snows are such wet snow. I was at daughters in CT once when they got dumped with 15 inches of snow. could not believe, they went out with friends in the middle of this blizzard, cause they had grammy to babysit hehehe. I did go for a walk next day, and the dry snow just brushed off my feet and legs when I came in. A different animal altogether.

I need to make feedings, Al has been out in shop, he will need fed soon.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Miz T, I like snow Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and then it can go away. When I was younger I used to skate a lot and go sledding but no more.

Veggies are done, on to the squares - 4 batches. I have a feeling I'm going to the wedding with a sleep deficit.

MizT & Al...fingers crossed for nothing being found in the biopsy

My happiness at completing the Nurses course has been marred by sister Judy ringing last night to say that her PET scan revealed the lymphoma is back.Last time it was in the breast, this time in the sciatic nerve which they said is VERY unusual.Chemo starts Monday in Brisbane, and she hopes the rest can be completed in Bundy as was last time.
As June once said. Cancer is a terrible disease!

I'm back. I paid the 3 months electric bill, and set up the bunk house/ Robert's house for automatic payments out of my checking account. Those payments will never have late fees nor generate threatening phone calls. Robert will have to reimburse me for the electricity he uses.
