Nola, thanks for the coffee. My thoughts and prayers going out to you and your sister. I don't know what else to say except "thinking of you"

Heidi, good idea about the electric bill. Wish you could do the same thing with your electric bill out of IH's account

Just had a 67lb (30 kg) dog crawl into my lap.

Good morning all
June - so pleased the few days in the snow were good and hopefully some happy memories were made during them.
Nola - sorry to hear about the return of Judy's troubles. Hopefully this chemo will rid her of this horrible invasive thing for good.
As usual hugs and good thoughts on the way to both of you and yours.

Heidi, if you end up paying the bill anyway, why not set up your own bill to be paid automatically too?

June, your trip away sounds like a success! Yay! ♥

MizT, better to be safe than sorry, but another surgery is always a worry. My thoughts are with you and everything is crossed. ♥♥

I will comment more when I get home - hopefully with repaired glasses! Someone, likely Dimmie decided my glasses didn't belong on my night stand, they were a plaything. Hubby has therefore stomped on them on his way to bed - they are a mess and I can't afford to replace them only 2 months, about, since I got them, so I'm hoping they can bend them back??? and polish out the scrach???

I just realized, after reading the posts, I forgot to eat lunch and supper!!! I just had a few crackers because it's too late to eat a meal now.

I'm on the last batch of squares - another hour and I should be done. I have a shot at getting to bed by midnight! I am exhausted.

The rehearsal was tonight but we couldn't go because it's out of town. Sister-in-law explained it all to me - let's hope I remember everything. Yeah, right. I've never been to this church (Anglican), so I'm not sure what to expect. Time will tell.

I'm going to sign off for tonight - tomorrow will be a long and busy day. Hugs to all.

Nola, good to see you. I send my thoughts and prayers out to you and the rest of your family, especially Judy. I'm so sorry she is once again undergoing a battle with this dreaded disease...but as bad as this is, thankfully there is lots of good medicine to make life bearable until this can be beaten back once more.
My itchiness is still occurring, but not as often or in large episodes, but there none the less....I still have not discovered what is causing the problem...I've tried eliminating things and then slowing adding them back, but the results are inconclusive. I have been having a bit of an on going stressful situation that will take time to resolve, and sorta suspect that may be at the bottom of the hives...if so, I will have a few more months to endure before things settle down...but this too shall pass.
Heidi, you are not only Hollie's Earth Angel, but Robert's too...hope they both know how they lucked out with you. I join you in being glad the Sheltie got a good forever home..
Since I've already written a short story, I'll simply send my love and good wishes along with the acknowledgement of the blessings derived from being a part of this great group of folks, my thanks for you being you! Peace!

Heidi - glad the Sheltie got a forever home. Hope Hollie is getting calmer.
Suzy - when Em was about 12 months old, she was on my lap, reached out quickly and pulled off my glasses and completely wrecked the arms - and they were the more expensive arms with the special 'childproof' hinges - didn't work on this occasion!!

Thanks everyone. I had a good cry this morning after telling Renae about her Aunty Judy, but life goes on. Greg had nothing to eat in the house and he had run out of his tablets, so I had to go shopping.
Spotlight were having a sale ,so called in there and lashed out and bought a new bedspread and sheets. Also a sheet set for Renae & Josh as a combined birthday present.I know, not a thrilling present but it is practical.

Back again,
Gail, speaking of Hoarders, you should see the room I'm sitting in!! Actually, no you shouldn't...

Heidi, the Holly news is bad/good/bad then good again... I hope it stays good for a little while. Good news about the Sheltie!

Theresa, I know it's wrong to laugh at annoying stories, but I wasn't laughing at you, I promise! Every now and then when it's raining, hubby tells us a story about something he once did. He felt so bad about it he will never forget it! He was driving along and saw a guy struggling in a heavy rain storm, the wind/rain was so strong he looked a bit like the mimes do walking against the wind. Hubby drove through a very large puddle that he hadn't seen and the wall of water was so high it completely covered the guy and pushed him back several steps. Hubby said that the guy didn't even look at him, just immediately continued his 'walk against the wind' post and kept on going... It's a great story when you can see the actions..

MizT, bad timing with the financial aid expiring so recently! I hope that is fixed in time for a quick result and short wait for you and Al.. ♥

Theresa, what you said about retirement made me think of my mother. She is 68 and probably the busiest she has ever been. When I spoke to her last she was working on a painting - they wanted it yesterday but only told me about it last Thursday. I asked her if they thought she charged several hundred dollars for paintings she could do in a day??? She probably isn't being paid for this one either, I think at least half of her paintings are donated to 'worthy causes' of one kind or another.

I'm guessing the wedding luncheon has already happened since I'm a page behind..it's hard to tell with the time difference. Hope it went/goes well - there covered all bases!

June, I'm so glad the trip away went well and that Sharon was feeling a little better. I hope that lasts for a long while...

Rescue missions are so hard. When we go anywhere near them I want to adopt/save every animal in there! Makes me want to cry when I can't.

Nola, congratulations on finishing the nurses course! That can't slip by without a little celebration! It's hard though with the sad news about your sister.. I like your present. Most of the time practical presents are the best!

Rolanda, glad the rain came yesterday and not today during your family afternoon tea. Hope you all have a lovely time!

Mamacita, I hope you find the cause of your itching very very soon. I was just reading yesterday that a chronic itch can be worse than chronic pain! {{{hugs}}}

The graduation ceremony is in Brisbane at the end of Sept, so I won't be going.
I will have to wait for 2 assignments to come back as they are slack and still haven't marked them yet.The evidence gathered while I was at this placement also has to be sent in before I get to register with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) This is the national registration where once it was through each state separately.e.g. Qld Nursing Council. It will probably still take a few weeks before I can claim to be an EEN but all of the hard work is now finished.

Good morning friends. Boy I had a really good sleep last night, was afraid I would not after napping yesterday, but I did it! Hips are what are being a pain today, but pain moving about keeps it from being monotonous hehehe. Meds are helping today.

Theresa, yeah, all the food finished and with time to spare! Sorry you did not sleep much, perhaps a doze in the car? Or is this wedding nearby? I was thinking a road trip, not sure why. Congratulations and best wishes to the bride and groom, hope the wedding goes off smoothly.

NOLA, congrats on finishing the nursing course. Does this mean you got checked off on everything at the hospital you were at? You had expressed concern about that earlier.

Julie, hope your days calm a bit soon, we miss you here. Glad you could drop in for a hellp.

SUZY, know your hubby must feel bad about that story, but he did not mean to splash the poor man! Shows what a nice person he is, that he remembers.

There, I do think I am caught up again. Time to feed the hubby again. Told him the other day, I surely do have job security, he gets hungry on a regular basis.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Everybody.
Slept late since Hollie decided to keep me up late. She insisted on climbing up on the bed, then refused to sit or lay down. She kept stumbling around in circles (counterclockwise only) stepping on me and losing her balance when 1 or 2 feet fell off the edge. She'd then bark until I helped her get that foot back on the bed, then resume her circling. This went on for a couple of hours. At one point, I got frustrated, lifted her off the bed and took her outside. A few minutes later she was back on the bed. She definitely has a few screws loose.

Thanks for fixing the site, Tricia.
Got all my errands done, and a few extra. Had to go to Target. They had the local Sheriff there for "Coffee with the sheriff." Lots of other things going on. Ended up taking Mitchell to the eye doctor there (mom thinks I am nuts) and he will be picking up his glasses in a week. He told me a few weeks ago that he had trouble seeing the board in school. Why he tells me at the end of the year instead of the beginning, I don't know. Think I got a good price, not sure. At least insurance pays most of it.
