Rolanda, it must be very tight for their budget... I hope they are able to get it as he seems to love it! But I also hope they get it at your price..

I remember the words 'subconscious appealing'. I told her it should be 'subconsciously appealing' and got told off! Doesn't work with the beat you see...

to clarify further:
The young lad came with Mum, Dad, siblings yesterday.
I would have thought our house price was a tad high for a first home buyer....
but then we do not know his financial circumstances and it is not for us/me to judge.
P and I would be happy for anyone to buy, at the price we want, and soon!

they would prefer us to stay!

Rolanda, good luck with the young man. I hope he makes an offer.

Nite all. I am tired and going to bed. I am not used to getting up before the sun to get the son on the bus. The bus driver did not get lost today and was actually only a few minutes late. I know the times will get better soon. See you all tomorrow.

The last epidural didn't take. I've been having to take the maximum allowed dosages of my pain and anti-inflammatory pills. Hard on the tummy. I need to go to the pain management clinic tomorrow to get a refill, and I'll talk to them about rescheduling the next epidural as soon as possible, instead of on December 1st.

Hello, again, Folks! Almost 1 a.m. here, but now caught up on email, bills-to-be-paid portion of snail mail, updated membership information for our wood club, some of the planning for our club picnic on Saturday, etc. Still need to cut & sew T-shirts into pillows for SIL, who is teaching 7th grade Reading instead of Math this year. I think the pillows will wait.

Theresa, thanks for sharing Jack Layton's letter to his fellow Canadians! Seems like he had a good attitude about dealing with his illness.

June, I hope your back is feeling better and you're finding it easier to get a restful sleep at night! Still hoping you can find a way to add some ME-time to your busy schedule!

MizT, your cardiologist sounds thorough and nice! I hope all of the tests ordered provide results that will help determine treatments that will be beneficial!

V Viv, enjoy the Avon banquet!

Rolanda, thinking very positive thoughts that the house will be sold quickly! It sounds like the young man is very interested, so hopefully he will be ready to take the plunge and sign a contract!

Heidi, are you feeling better? Remember to take care of yourself! Wonderful news that the family in the plane crash are improving!

I'm so glad that those of you who felt the quake were in areas that didn't receive damage or injury!

Suzy, great news that Alie appears to be on the mend!

Kitty seems better today, but still noticing she gets an occasional
"catch" while breathing. She apparently missed us quite a bit. As she's quite a "scaredy-cat", the frequency of our trips when she is in an absolutely quiet house seem to reinforce her fear of noises/voices and quick movements.

Nearly falling asleep here, so must head off to bed! The good news is that I have just finished reading page 195. One more day ought to do it - get me completely caught up.

Thinking of all of you and those you love who might benefit from extra positive thoughts, prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and ! Remember to take care of yourselves!

Hello all - was feeling low all day yesterday and not feeling social at all - today, feeling better but I have just been busy - a few more of these days coming as we do the usual visits to solicitors - sister is executor - I was EPOA, so I know the deal with Mum's finances, so we're in this together! Also have last years tax to do - visit to accountant coming as well. Everything should be straightforward, including the will.

Rolanda - hope the young man makes an offer and soon.
It seems no-one on SA was badly affected by the earthquake in the US. Sorry, haven't had the chance to read whether there was any loss of life - hope not.
Heidi - sorry about the epidural. You and Viv must be in excruciating pain. Thinking of you both.
I've missed a bit here lately, sorry! But big hugs to all! You've supported me a lot lately and I really have appreciated it.

Afternoon.
Had a lovely lunch with my sister, niece and gr N's.

Now have to fling food in that room.
Make Lasange (meat sauce made yesterday), for Saturday Family Birthday Dinner for Son and Mum.
Also make 'Kook' ~ Dutch Honey and Spice(nutmeg, cinamon, mixed spice, ginger..) Loaf, to take with me to Mum's tomorrow.
Make dinner (hoping there will be enough Meat Sauce left to make Pasta Bake or something for hime and me)
and cook up some chicken for slicing and using for lunches.
I think that is all..

Heidi, I remember you saying the epidural was not a 'bad one' but was hoping for the best... I hope they will reschedule!

I spoke to Mum today and she told me something to 'cheer me up', yeah right! A neighbour of hers (very small town so they are all neighbours..) is taking care of 2 of her daughter's children because DOCS threatened to take them away. The other 5, yes 5, are with their dad. He has just remarried and both he and his new wife are bipolar and having trouble coping, would she mind taking the children on?? That's 7 kids!!!!!!! I wonder what the age range is?

Hi everyone.
Nice surprises for me today at the Avon banquet.
I came 6th in the Top Ten for our district.
I received a lovely jewellery box.
I also received the bronze Mrs. Albee figurine.
This is given to the person who has had the biggest increase in their customer base from the last year. Nice to get some recognition for all my hard work. I will put some pics on my page shortly.
Yes CynB now comes all the tidying up of loose ends after the funeral.
Thinking of you.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Viv, wonderful news. It is nice to be recognized for all your hard work.

Cyn, I know it is difficult to tie up all the loose ends but at least you have family to help you. It sounds like all the details have been organized and that should make it a little easier.

Heidi, hope you get some relief for your back soon. 3 months is a long time to wait for another epidural when you are in pain.

Well, yesterday I would have said "nothing much happening here", but today ... phone call from my brother, his circumstances have changed and he needs to go back to work, so we need to find a place for Mum ... as soon as possible ... ! Yikes! Know what we'll be doing for the next little while! :0

June, I know you will be glad when hubby is home. Your lunch guests are coming to see you, and to be fed. they are not coming to inspect your house. So, clean the guest bathroom, straighten the clutter a bit and forget the rest.

Judy, hope you can find just the right arrangements for your Mum.

Night, Viv. Nice surprises indeed. You deserve the recognition.

Tami, thanks for the coffee.

Someone asked about deaths or injuries from earthquake. None I have heard of. Just reports of swaying buildings, evacuations until they were sure quakes were over, and things spilled from shelves near epicenter. the thing that made the news was how far away the quake was felt, it being so shallow.

Rolanda, hope the young man will make an offer and soon, so you do not have to do another open house, as we say here.

Heidi, I do hope you can get some relief from the back pain. Are there antacids or other meds you can take to help the tummy that is being assaulted with strong meds?

Daughter Joy got her birthday present last night. Nice gently used leather sofa and love seat for her apartment. They were to be delivered last night by the friend she bought them from. Clumsy sxentance, but you know what I mean. about 8 pm, I texted her "Got sofas?" and got a picture reply, sofas residing in her apartment. She and I are going to make pillows/cushions with LOTS of color to brighten up black leather, black bookcases and electronics center. We went shopping in my stash, found coordination fabrics for her to choose from, wild prints in vivid colors. Looking for a cool morning to get into sewing room and make a start.

time to fling food, need breakfast for me and to make feedings for Al. Then some ffuts to do. OH, must get my coffee made, can have none and no caffien till after tests tomorrow, not even de cafinated coffee , tea and no chocolate! I may have crystal lite ( flavored water) and clear colas and water. they just phoned to remind me so I should not forget, and I got her to clarify on the clear soft drink issue. Do not want to mess up a test.

Hugs to each of you, with extras. Till later.

Just read of damage done by quake. the Washington Monument, that tall obelisk of a monument/landmark in Washington DC, has a crack near the top. It is closed to visitors and an engineering firm will be evaluating it today. Hope it is something that can be easily repaired.

Off to Pain Management for meds and hopefully rescheduling. Once I get home, I have to load cousin Don's tractor onto the 16 ft. trailer and take it in for servicing... nearly an hour away. Busy day. That'll be 4 hours of driving today, besides the actual work I have to do. No time for driving a horse around.

NOLA, I think it is Suzy's Mom's neighbor associated with the 7 kids.

Julie, I have enjoyed hearing about what YOU are doing. thanks for sharing with us. I hope you and everyone enjoy the club picnic on Saturday.

ROLANDA, congrats on the offer on your house. I do hope the financing goes through without a hitch. Where will you go if house is sold and you must vacate quickly?

Heidi, that is a LOT of driving. I think I remember your saying your truck is comfortable? I do hope so. Crossing fingers and toes that epidural can be rescheduled soon.

Well, no more caffeine for me till Friday morning! Not even de caf tea or coffee, no colas, no chocolate. I shall go make some crystal lite, or lemonade. Whatever will I do tomorrow wh4enn I wake up> AND TAMI, please do not offer me any tomorrow, thank you. I do get to eat breakfast as long as it is early. No lunch, I will be ready for my dinner once finished somewhere around 5 pm. Might have to stop on way home for sustenance.

Had fun today showing Al the short cuts, tips and tricks on a solitaire game I play. Using the TV as a monitor in living room, we both can see, and I can give him hints. He is catching on nicely. It gives him a new game to play. that is how he spends his days now, playing games online. I even have him playing sudoku, but he likes a different game better than our sudoku. It just plays a bit differently and it is easier than easy even.

Well, off to write checks for a few bills. Try as hard as you like to rid self of bills, there are a few you must have. Phone/internet, Electric, water, insurance for auto and home.

hugs to each of you with extras. Till later.

Hubby's plane has landed. Should be home before the morning rush hour traffic. It will be nice to have him home. He can sit and talk to his Mother!
Hope all the tests go well Tricia. I could live with all those restrictions, as I drink very little of those things. Mainly water.
Heidi, hope you can soon get relief for your back. What is the minimum time they will allow between epidurals.
Judy, I think you did the rounds of the homes before. Did you find anything then that seemed suitable?

Viv, just checked out your photos. You look great and it looks like a beautiful affair. You should be very proud. You work hard and got the credit you deserve.

Heidi, glad they were able to move up the epidural for you.

Nola, teaching new subject is not so bad. I am not doing too much planning. My kids are all really low level readers so I am taking it slow. I can read in the morning and be ready for the afternoon

Rolanda, congrats on the bid. Hope the financing works out.

Stressful day is pretty much over. Made it up to Pain Management (1 hour north of us) and got my 'scrip refill and epidural rescheduled. Then drove back home to show Robert what chores I needed him to do. Then loaded the tractor onto the trailer, only to discover that the trailer had a flat. So I unloaded the tractor and took the tire in to be fixed. Then back home to reload the tractor on to the trailer. Then I drove an hour south with the tractor and dropped it off for repairs. Now I'm back here and ready to crash. Unfortunately, haven't gotten the central air fixed yet and it's 92℉ / 33.3℃ with a heat index of about 100℉.
