Not much sleep again last night. I guess I'm gonna have to wait until all of the bush hogging is done before getting a full night's sleep.

Good evening.
Mamacita, so sorry to hear about your friends son. I know you will be a wonderful support for her.
Also prayers going out to Steve and his family.

A good friendly game of bowls today. And we won big time. The other team (all men) said they were out classed by the two women in our team.
Bowls at our own club tomorrow.
Balmain and Morton Bay bugs (a type of small lobster) are of the same family. Very nice to eat.

Thanks for clarifying the BUGS thing.
I have had a good days work today, apart from gnihsaw (and having to machine dry) the weekly dirty stuff, I have finished the company's accounts for the last financial year. To be honest after I had sent them all to the accountant to do the final audit etc. All I had to do was file them with Companies house and pay the corporation tax we owed to the government, at the same time I had to do the VAT for this quarter and schedule payment for that too. Now I have to start tidying the house for our Canadian visitor who is coming to stay with us the day we come home from holiday. I will kill the kids if they make a big mess in the house while we are away.
Mama, my thoughts are with your friend and family on the lose of her son. ((HUGS)) for you too.

The chicken stew was tasty. I shared a bowl with friend Eddie. He came up and cut my grass today, yeah!

He announced today, he has at long last stopped smoking. good for him for that, but terrible he waited so long to do it. He states after 5 days of not being able to breathe, and being unable to walk across the kitchen, he thought maybe he should. Yep, it is past time to quit. I have seen him having more and more trouble breathing in the last weeks, and denying anything was wrong when I asked. He has COPD, but was still smoking. Maybe stopping now will give him a bit of relief, but I fear he left it for far to late to make much of a difference.

Brenda, even I knew Bugs were some type of sea food, surprised you did not know. Broni, bugs and prawns is something I would choose for my birthday meal, I love shrimp, crayfish and lobster, any seafood really. Add green grapes and strawberries for the sweets, and fresh sliced tomatoes for the veg, you would make me happy all around. 'these are a few of my favorite things'

Gail, do not think I have told you lately how much I like your kitchen. Rolanda, yours too, both you ladies gonna have a great place to cook and entertain. Thanks for sharing photos with us.

Suzy, love Dana's new haircut. When you said short, you really meant short hehehe.

HEIDI, hope you get the bush hogging finished soonest, you do need to sleep nights.

Donkey woke me again this morning, but not awake enough to go stand on my back porch to make thier dog bark and wake them again. Tying the donkey is not working out too well for them. this morning it was tangled with and had dragged a plastic chair across the yard, it was stuck between the donkey's 4 feet. He had also managed to turn over it's 5 gallon bucket of water. Lady neighbor came out, saw, caled out her husband to care for it. But she sent him back inside to get her cell phone, and when they donkey saw him go inside, it pitched a fit! If a donkey could scream, it would sound just like that one, loud, prolonged, angry. It stopped when Donkey dad came back outside. He did untangle him, this about 9 am. By 1 pm, donkey was tangled again, donkey Mom came out and tried untangling it. Poor thing had a tiny bit of shade from a sapling, most of the shade was inside the fence with the goat, but donkey was trying to shrink himself down to fit that tiny shade.

the real estate lady said she has sent the document once again to Linda, so perhaps this is the last holdup and we can get on with this move. Please, all good vibes, cross fingers, say prayers, light candles, help me get this over and done.

Hi all.
I have had pages of fun reading since last posting. Infact,I came back to find that I had not sent my last message so it was delayed by a day.
All good here. Judy is managing to get herself something to eat now and only needs showering. I think I will ask her if she would like to go home and I can call in after work to help her with that. The thought of her falling in the shower is my main concern because of the glass. Last blood test showed an improvement which will only get better from now on. I can do any washing, shopping etc and being home will make her feel more independent.

Big hugs Broni & Miztricia
Suzy...I love the hair cut on Dana. The messy look is very popular and I tried it but had to keep using so much goop that I gave up.
Gail...you wont know yourself with all the new appliances, painted house and flooring. How exciting.
Heidi...pity you didn't get to have the Indian meal you so much wanted. Congrats,on your anniversary.
Tami...hope Mum & Dad are settling in.
Bean & Midge & Cyn as you all mentioned, this site has been a great late night companion to get you through sleepless nights when life has been almost soul destroying. The lovely repertoire of people going through life's trials and joys is why I keep coming back. It is so nice to share the good and the bad. Thank you Tricia!
Wishing you all a great day.
I have a friend of Judy's coming today, so I have to make a bit of an impression by tiding up.The dining room table has washing to be folded so that we can have a cuppa. Once upon a time, this would have never happened...neither would so many other things that need doing, but that is the way it is now. Last week I washed most of the lace curtains and am still to put them back up. Thank goodness for spare rooms to hide them in.
Must go. Love to you all.

I know Broni, but I am glad to get the warning so at least it looks tidy. I can stuff things into a room that she wont see. But I still need to clean the bathroom and toilet so I don't look like a total slob. hehe
I have the kitchen clean (until Judy has breaky) folded the washing and have my uniforms in the washing. Getting there at least.

I decided to take today off from bush hogging, except for a crucial 1 acre area. We're planning on running the cattle through the working facilities tomorrow, since IH is looking for particular worm he needs to culture, and that 1 acre was between the pasture they're in now and the pasture before the holding area for the working pens.

Sorry to say I have never heard of bugs (no matter what the variety). It is a rare thing to see lobster where I live. Wouldn't buy them anyway as apart from prawns (which I will have occasionally) I am not partial to seafood.
Hope you enjoy them Broni.

Happy Birthday, Broni - have a wonderful day.
I really need to get new smilies.
Nola - pleased to hear that Judy is improving.
Like you, my spare room is where everything goes when I have visitors (just ask Rolanda!) But I also rush to clean the bathroom and toilet.
Brenda - when you get here to Australia, one of these days, we'll take you out to try bugs, you will change your mind, honestly, they are so much nicer than prawns. I'm not much of a crustacean lover but I do love a Thai chilli bug - yummmm!

Well, we're not working the cattle tomorrow. IH waited until this afternoon to ask everybody whose help he needed, and nobody was free on such short notice. It's been postponed until next Monday so he can line people up. Does he think that nobody has a life? Or that people will drop everything to help him collect poop?

Tomorrow is the 11 year anniversary of the Trade Center Bombing. A friend just sent this link, a short video telling of the ordinary people of the waters around Manhattan Island, and the great boat lift of 9/11. I had never heard anything about this before. 500,000 New Yorkers were evacuated from lower Manhattan in 9 hours, a remarkable undertaking even if it had been pre-planned, but this just came about because one boatsman picked up the mike of his marine radio and said, ' All available boats . . . .' It is worth a look see.

Greetings, Everyone! This will need to be quick tonight.

Happy Birthday, Broni! I hope you had a a fantastic day! The meal sounds yummy, though I don't know about the bugs!

Suzy, what a cute hair style for Dana! Alie did a good job!

Suzy, is it better when you're not assigned to English classes? I hope the teaching is going well!

Heidi, I hope you will soon be able to sleep well! At the rate you're going, it seems you may have just a few days left for bush-hogging.

Congrats on your bowls game, June! I hope you're on a winning streak now! Hopefully the cough is a thing of the past.

Gail, it's good to know that pictures from fb make the transition to SA easily!

Brenda, good luck on the house still looking clean and organized when you get back from holiday. If it does, please share the secret!

Tami, I hope the rest of your week goes well!

MIzT, so glad the chicken stew is a hit, and glad you could share some with Eddie! Congrats to him for quitting smoking! I hope it helps.

MizT, I'm still trying to figure out why your neighbors have a donkey. It certainly seems to be making work for them.

Good luck that the latest form will be the LAST form needed for final approval for your move-in, MizT! Keeping fingers and toes crossed!

Heidi, since working the cattle won't happen tomorrow,I hope you will give yourself the day off from bush hogging!

Nola, it's good to see your post - and to hear that Judy is a bit better. I'm sure she will be thrilled to go back home, if that works out.

MizT, I'll check out that link in a few. It may be something I saw a few months ago - really amazing what a few people willing to pitch in could do when their help was needed!

Aren't spare bedrooms great? Every home should have one!

Rolanda and Gail, your kitchens are looking fantastic!

Hi, Victoria! Is everyone well at your house? Has the tiling been finished? We have missed you!

Cyn, I'm still a little uncertain about the 'bugs.' Maybe one day I'll be able to visit and be convinced.

Hopefully I'll have more time to read and post in the next few days. Please don't take offense if I haven't mentioned you.

It's time to head to bed. Sending positive thoughts, prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, healing vibes and for all to share.

Hi all. Coffee is ready, help yourself. I have a very busy day ahead of me. After school I need to drive to Mitchell's school to pick him up, take him out for dinner and then go back to his school for open house. We won't get home until about 9 pm. Our day starts at 5 am. Long day for both of us. I will see you all tomorrow morning.

Evening all,
On my phone again! Really need to get a new desktop.

Happy birthday Broni!

Dinner with Ian and Anne was lovely! Ian's nephew and his family came too and it turns out his great niece was in the musical with Alie! She is a bit younger and was in the chorus. When I think about how I know Ian, I find that kind of incredible.

Gail, how cool that the floor is being laid already! If you are planning on painting skirting boards tonight you must be excited too!

Tami, that's a long day! Sending caffeine fumes.

Nola, I think it's great that Judy may get to go home. As hard as it will be, I believe the feeling of normality helps! Sending thought and wishes that everything goes well.

Not sure how I feel about bugs, the only time I gave enjoyed lobster was either in louisville kentucky or north carolina, can't remember which. Actually it's the one that wasn't in a dry county.

I don't have a spare room at the moment :(

Julie, I was in math today and it was better because I actually knew what I was talking about! I don't think the fact that I've read 5 books in the last 2 weeks qualities me as an English teacher!!

If any of my posts today seem goofy, it is to be expected. I am tired of this flare of fibro pain, everything has hurt for 3 days now. So instead of waiting till meds wear off to take more, I am taking by the clock, as close together as prescribed. It is keeping me well sedated, groggy at times, sleepy, stumbly of foot. And still I hurt, but not as much. None of the 3 hours of severe pain waiting for meds to kick in. Gee, wish I knew why sometimes they just do not work.

I was not able to sleep more than an hour at a time in the bed, cause lying on my side, my favored way of sleeping and the one I would turn into even if I went to sleep differently, well, it hurts my hip. Yep, just lying on it. Drats!!

Broni, glad you had a great day. Cannot remember if I wished you a Happy Happy, so here is a belated one just in case.

Suzy, you do a good job posting from your phone. did not report anyone abusive today ??

CynB, thanks for re-posting the boat lift video on FB. I had thought of doing that, but thought was as far as I got.

Julie, I am trying to figure why the neighbors have a donkey also. As Eddie said yesterday, they cannot eat it, do not have necessary items to ride it or have it pull a cart, so why bother??

My coffee is ready, I shall have a cup and go back to holding down the recliner. Perhaps a day of max medication will break this pain cycle. I have seen a flare last 8 to 10, once even 14 days, hope I can shorten this one.

Hugs to each of you, with extras. Till later.

Please keep fingers crossed that I get to sign lease soonest. I WANT TO MOVE :)

Morning all.

MizT, I felt tears in my eyes when I watched the 9/11 video. It still seems hard to believe.

Quite a few farms in this area have a donkey or llama or alpaca to guard other animals. One place just a few k's down the road has a llama and an alpaca to watch a herd of sheep. Others have a donkey to watch cattle or horses. They are supposed to be hyper-sensitive about their territory and don't like intruders, like coyotes. They apparently will fight to the death to protect their territory and flock!

Off to grab a quick nap. I did not sleep well last night. But guess what??? Yesterday after lunch I had absolutely no pain in my feet. By bedtime my right heel was starting to ache. When I got up this morning there also was no pain, but now there's just a very little amount of burning in the toes. Things are improving????

Will be back later to read.

Well, off to do some bush hogging. Back later, my friends.

(By the way, I was out bush hogging 11 years ago when my neighbor George flagged me down to let me know about the World Trade Center. The first Tower had just been hit. I watched the rest of the day unfold on the TV.
